Score from 60 reviews Very good
Water flow in room too low, especially in sink.
Responsive staff, great food, awesome surroundings, green area (pretty much inside the woods), view from inside the lodge and out
1. I was staying in the room 404 and the booking description showed the room has a microwave, which we needed to sterilize the bottles. There was no microwave and after sharing the complaint I wasn't offered one. 2. I'm not a tall guy, but the shower was really below my height, so I had to squat. 3. Nowhere in the listing it says that the majority of rooms are connecting. Our room wasn't an exception and you can hear all the kinds laughing and jumping at 8AM next door. And our neighbors have probably heard our child crying in the middle of the night. 4. The rooms themselves are pretty old, though clean
friendly staff, good food, pool and spa was excellent, great staff.
Rooms were so-so, pretty wore out. maintenance seems lacking. dining room was very noisy open atmosphere was very dissapointing, reminded me of a I-hop. food was very pricey for the experience. the open area outside and by the fireplace should have runners or servers as trying to find a refreshment was a chore that should not happen.
Best resort in that area, and great value.
Wifi wasn't great, other than that all good.
I loved the view. The beds were very comfortable
Very poor wifi connection in the rooms. Nothing fancy about the rooms.
Our room was adequate and comfortable The property grounds were excellent and we took a hike, saw some wildlife and beautiful scenery. Afterwards we enjoyed dinner in the bar. The small plate selection was interesting, modestly priced and delicious. We could only stay one night but would come back for a longer stay next time.
The young man at the front desk said I would be fine going on a hike in sandals. Luckily I did change to tennis shoes because the grounds were wet and muddy.
The location was beautiful with vistas of mountains and water.
Very disappointed that salmon served in the restaurant was farm raised and not fresh caught from the Columbia river which is maybe 100 yards from the resort.
Location to Stevenson and activities available.
Amazing place to stay and enjoy the nature and the outdoor activities.
Wifi connection too weak in rooms
Hot tub, location, open area
Rooms were boring, dated, lacked character
The soaking tub was amazing. It would be nice to have a second.
Our bathroom was not clean upon arrival. The sink drain did not work.
Excellent place. Good value. Will definitely try to return.
A real resort hotel in gorge excellent across the board
Food could be just a bit better could get a very high end chef redesign Cascade dining room for a more elegant experience
hidden costs--restaurant & rooms--need to be up front with them
The check-in process was well done and help was right there for us to move our things to our room. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Foods at the various restaurants…..excellent! Many thanks again for a wonderful first visit.
the friendly staff, the great hot tubs were clean. the fresh air in the mountain around the lodge.
Very helpful front desk staff. Ruth with room service was awesome.
All was good or better
The overall setting, the lodge-like flavor, the food in the restaurant and the staff were marvelous.
The lodge is showing its age and the restaurant service was a bit slow (though perhaps due to how busy they were).
Spa tubs (indoor & outdoor) Lobby/Fireplace reading area Complimentary coffee/tea, etc. in the Lobby Friendly Staff Location (proximity to Portland)
Not the best meal options at the Lodge itself. We look for mid-range items on a menu--yours are on the high end. We wanted to park the car and not return to it until check-out, but we found ourselves going off-site for at least one meal.
Beautiful setting and the lodge was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Staff in the Cascade Room were great.
Restaraunts are a bit pricey.
