The breakfast was excellent. Some bigger hotels elsewhere don't even have shuttle bus. The service was excellent.
There were electrical faults in some sockets inside the room.
Breakfast had many options. Also liked the convenience of being close to subways going into the City. Friendly staff.
Room assigned this recent trip was facing the road. It was hard to get any sleep; very noisy through the night.
Poor area but close to airport. Breakfast OK.
long wait for airport pick up and drop off. Very noisy reception staff in the middle of the night (playing loud music).
They stranded me at the airport! I arrived at 11 AM and called them and they said their shuttle was in for service. I would have to wait for 4 hours and they MIGHT be able to pick me up. So instead I had to hire a taxi which cost me $24! I think they should re-imburse me for that expence.
shuttle airport sevice
the location and the room itself
The hotel offers shuttle service that takes you to and from hotels , restaurants , subway which made our stay comfortable. The driver "Troy" was an excellent guide that helped us tremendously I would totally recommend to others
Nearness to airport
Area around hotel was a bit rundown
beautiful room, windows could be opened to get fresh air, staff friendly and available to respond to info requests.
hard for a person unfamiliar with the area or JFK to reach this hotel by public transit or hotel shuttle. it took a long time for shuttle to arrive at JFK.
The staff and the hotel
You have to phone the hotel to arrange pick up at the airport. Make sure you take the right shuttle, another hotel has same name
All the staff
Everything was good for me and for my money
We were assured when we booked online that there was a shuttle to/from JFK. However I was told at the airport that it had broken down and I would need to use a paid taxi. The next morning there still was no shuttle and no effort was provided to supply any form of reimbursement. We spent a total of $60 on taxi service. I am very disappointed in the false claims listed on the internet!
Shuttle bus from and to airport, staff was very helpful
The room was very comfortable and well equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful, there was a free shuttle to the Airport and Metro (so very easy to visit the City).
I didn't have a cell phone so couldn't call to arrange the return shuttle and driver refused to pick me up at a pre arranged time.
Furniture is room was modern & in good repair. Bathroom well lit.
Filthy carpeting throughout. Dark dingy corridors. No place to get a bite to eat, had to order in.
Cleanliness, big comfortable bed.
No shuttle despite being promised.
Clean rooms. Friendly staff
Location was about 15 minutes away from JFK in Jamaica which is a less than desireable neighborhood. The airport shuttle refused to drop us off at the terminal like most hotels do. Instead, it went to Federal Circle, which adds an extra 20 minutes of travel time.
- Comfortable bed - Shuttle service to airport or subway - Customer service at desk and in kitchen - Wi-Fi
- Location is not the best but staff was very helpful and facilities were very clean and kept up - breakfast could offer healthier options (plain yogurt, whole , grain breads, more fresh fruits)
close to airport shuttle bus every hour friendly shuttle bus staff free breakfast some gym facilities clean
kind service, comfortable beds, clean room, free parking, free transfer to airport and trains
the lack of electric kettle for tea drinkers
Staff was excellent.
Room was small and smelled.
Small room. Too far from. But hotel provided shuttle service
Nice enough place if the hookers arriving for the customers dont bother you -- front desk staff was extremely helpful and the buffet breakfast was exceptional for a place like this
They advertise as Sleep Inn JFK Airport -- it took ONE HOUR for their van to pick us up when I first called them -- and then it was at least a 30 MINUTE drive there -- much too far away from JFK Airport to be used for a one night layover stay -- dont let them advertise as JFK!!!!!
The shuttle driver. The room was ok. The bed fairly comfortable.
The night manager didn't care. He did not give us our free breakfast or free wifi information. The phone in our room did not work and he did not want to assist us at all. When we arrived at JFK we rang the hotel as required and had to wait 45mins for a shuttle as the night manager did not relay the information to the shuttle driver. This drive is usually 15 mins. When we arrived at the hotel we were not given any service at all. He did not even get up from his seat or even engage in any normal hotel info that you would expect to receive. We found out about the free breakfast and wifi as we were checking out the next morning and overheard some other people being checked in by the day staff. I would not recommend this hotel if you are wanting any sort of assistance as you won't get it.
They held my room for my late arrival after waiting at JFK for lost luggage, plus long lines at customs, and check out and taxi lines. A plus was shuttle service on the hour to train to JFK.
It was not exactly close to JFK, 16 minute drive and the cab driver didn't want to take me there. The area was a bit unsafe looking and would not walk around this area.
