The place was clean, beautiful, comfortable and very conveniently located. Staff was very helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone and would love to stay there again.

Great location. Subway entrance is right outside the Hotel. Very friendly staff. Lobby decor is modern and great for hanging out. Restaurant opens until midnight which is great for late snack.

Small room space typical of NYC hotels. Bed mattress is mediocre. Noisy environment if staying at lower floors (we stayed at 4th floor).

Great room: spacious for NYC, huge bathroom. A chaise / lounge chair would b nice. Friendly staff, great concierge (thank you, William!). Excellent location.

No free wi-fi in room.

The fact that the hotel was so small made it so you saw the same front of house staff everyday. It made everything feel very familiar and comfortable. The concierge was a great help in choosing a show and getting us great seats at the very last minute. The front desk was accommodating when we asked to change rooms as well. The room, although small, felt very comfortable and not too crowded.

The first room they put us in was on the second floor right outside the elevators. We were afraid we would hear noise from the street and the hall with everyone coming and going from the floor so we asked for a new room.

The staff and convenience to the subway. The staff felt like you were with old friends...they ARE the reason to go to the hotel.

Wi-fi and cell phone reception was very very inconvenient. Needs to be rebuilt and incorporated into the room cost.

I loved the room (it was upgraded), the restaurant, the location and the front desk staff and bellboys. They were all very polite and good at their job.

I hate the fact that my jewelry (4 bracelets) disappeared. We did not notice until we got home. We called the hotel right away but they had not been reported. Maybe it was the guest afterwards but it could also have been the cleaning staff. Judd was amazing but did not find them. I would really hesitate to return not knowing that my belongings are safe.

housekeeping was spotty, forgetting to refresh bathroom items. one morning a maid went door to door at 8:45 summarily waking up everyone - there was no way to indicate "do not disturb". no sign or button was provided. one evening we discovered our suicase had been closed and the contents jumbled. room was street-facing and was very noisy in the morning due to ongoing street maintenance using heavy equipment.

beds were very comfortable and room was a decent size for a new york hotel. It was located in a nice area and good value for money

most of our time was spent away from Tribeca so we were forever taking cabs uptown or to other parts of new york so location was not ideal for us

I like the location, very close to city sights and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping

The construction outside the window that went on all night long and the absence of a hair dryer in the bathroom. Also, the window was open when I arrived, so the room temperature was 50 degrees; a little chilly for my taste.

Loved the comfy bed, linens and shower.

Lack of privacy in bathroom... The door doesn't really close. The walls are like paper!! We could hear every word from the next room.

No tea and coffee maker in the room, whicH is essential for jet lagged Europeans who wake up at 4 am. It cost 10 dollars to get hot water delivered to my room. Please put a kettle or coffee maker in the rooms! Wifi access should be free Phone signal very poor throughout the hotel. Speaker on land line phone was inadequate for conference call.

Great that it is right next to the metro. short walk from Broadway for good shopping. Opposite to Zuckers - excellent bagels! Ela, the Concierge, was excellent, and Kevin at Front Desk

Plein Sud was extortionate - the equivalent of £60 for breakfast for 2. Have to walk through quite a dodgy area (reminded me of Camden in London) to get to Soho and the good shops on Broadway. Housekeeping was inconsistent - sometimes we had new shower gel, shower cap etc sometimes not! Doormen were also inconsistent - no one there to help when we arrived with our bags etc. When they were there they were excellent, but as I said - they were not always there!

Sensational location right near Chambers Street subway, so handy for anyone with lots of luggage or for arriving/returning to airport and for darting around NYC. Ultra hip hotel, very quiet rooms, beautifully appointed, comfy beds and pillows. I thought our price was fair, as we were there on a Friday night it was cheaper than mid week.We loved that the furniture was sleek, as it gave us more floor space for us, essential for a family of four, with a huge suitcase each..other hotels put in clunky deep desks etc, which are useless and easy to trip over...amazing how another metre or so of floor space stops you from tripping over bags. Glam bathroom with a yummy bath and shower. Lovely girl at the Concierge desk ( sorry, I missed her name, she spoke flawless English with a European accent) was very helpful, as was the bloke with the Irish accent, who was actually American, Kyle dealt with our bags also good. Apprecited being able to store bags before and after check out time.

It's a pity that WiFi isn't included in the tarrif. Even if the hotel provided free WiFi in the lobby, as other places do, I would have bought coffee or a drink from the bar, to sustain me whilst doing thre necessary emails and research that a traveller from a foreign country must do.Instead, I think a lot of people go to Starbucks to use the WiFi ( and drink shockingly diluted coffee, sorry to say).So, how about it guys? I would happily pay you more than Starbucks prices for a coffee if the WiFi was included...management need not worry about the lobby being a refuge for bogans if they do this, as the hotel isn't catering to these people. I didn't eat or drink at Smyth, as we had our kids with us, I am sure they would have been welcome, but frankly teenagers are happy with more down market eateries.

We specified twin beds when booking and later by email prior to arrival (which was confirmed as all fine in an email by Michael at the Front Desk) Despite this, when we arrived tired, late at night after a long transatlantic flight we found our room (which was otherwise lovely, I should say) had only one bed. When I went down to Front Desk to query this I was told I would have to pay an upgrade fee if I wanted 2 beds. This was never previously mentioned when I booked, or during my email correspondence. I paid the fee and was given a different room with two beds but it was a far less attractive, tattier room (marks on walls, door stop broken, smaller bathroom, a pair of dirty used socks in the wardrobe !) on a much lower floor, (2nd versus 7th) so noisier too. I was too tired to argue but this left a bit of a sour taste, particularly when I was paying extra ! On check out I was handed a bill for $704, made up of lots of different entries for taxes on each night of our trip, which was a surprise since I had paid for the room in advance on an all inclusive basis. I queried it and the manager said it was a mistake and reduced the bill to $286. I wonder how many people just pay up... pretty disappointing - I am not a cheapskate and am used to paying expensive hotel bills but I don't like to feel like I am being ripped off. It's generally a nice hotel, but for the price I was paying (average $550 a night) I don't expect issues like this

- Wifi 15usd/day only for one device, so if you want to connect 3 devices (phone, computer and tablet) you need to go to the reception... not cool at all. - No free electrical outlet near the Bed to plug your computer and phone. - No space to store your luggage open. - 9usd for waterbottles in room (5usd for the small one) - No Bathtub, however there is a vary great shower.

The rooms were spacious, not just for New York! We requested a quiet room and we were given an interior room, which was perfect. All the staff were extremely courteous and helpful and it was more than worth the cost. The location was perfect, across the street from a diner and many restaurants in a quiet part of Tribeca but with immediate access to a couple of subway stations. Without a doubt I would stay here again.

It seemed that every time we left the room our towels were replaced! This was unnecessary and I suppose could be a bit more environmentally conscious.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The interior of the hotel was fantastic. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

The design and interior was fantastic but the friendliness of the staff was superb and really made our stay all the more enjoyable.
