The wide variety of restaurants within walking distance The stairs were too steep for an old man like me - i'm over 60 - and there was no lift. |

The location is great. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are very clean, with everything you might need. In my room (the standard one) the space between the bed and the furniture is very short. But not such a big deal. |

The location of the hotel was excellent for shopping and dining in Soho, and the price was affordable. The beds and sheets were not very comfortable and the water pressure was really bad in the shower. |

The hotel room was adequate size for 5 people which was a bonus with 3 adults and two kids travelling. The street noise was incredible - kept us awake a lot of the night, but that's what you get for a street level room in NYC..! |

The location was great. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The decor was interesting, including the furniture and the exposed brick walls. The room was clean. The hotel stored our luggage for several hours after we checked out which was very helpful. We were able to park (at a discount) at a nearby garage (also very friendly service). The water pressure in the bathroom was low, the shower was small. |

The location is ideal. You'll find plenty of shops around the corner, Chinatown and Little Italy are nearby and there is a good vegetarian restaurant across the street. We like that. The rooms, shower and toilet were kept spotlessly clean. OK, the room is small. But it had all we needed. And the complimentary coffee in the morning was nice. Things can get really noisy outside, especially in hot weather. Because then the airco's on the nearby roof are on (and they make a hell of a rekkid). Just bring your earplugs and you'll be fine. |

Fun new area of nyc to explore. Room exactly as advertised. 1) It was the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. We must have been above a nightclub as music boomed until the wee hours. Also young people gathered under our window until 2-3am. 2) The bed mattresses were excellent except they were covered in plastic and therefore noisy and hot. 3) The hair dryer overheated and stopped working within about 90 seconds of use. |

The area it was set in was really interesting and the design and style of decor and furnishings was effective. Would have liked a proper window not just a rooflight. Would have liked tea & coffee making facilities in the room not just centrally. |

This is an old hotel but they have done a very good job of making the most of what they had to work with. It is extremely clean and the service is excellent. The rooms are a bit small and the outside noise does come in on the lower floors. Upstairs is quieter. There is no elevator but they are more than happy to carry your luggage up and down for you without asking for tips. This hotel is one of the least expensive in the city and so it books up quickly. Booking.com did not get our reservation to them in time but they made room for us anyway, as best they could with limited space. |

1. Location very close to our event (New Museum). 2. Staff very courteous, friendly, competent. 3. Although room (#319) very small, the decor and furnishings were neat, appropriate for size. 4. Bathroom well-appointed. 1. No elevator from street level. 2. Window blinds might be dusted more often. 3. Half-steps between room and hallway and between room and bathroom need to be more clearly marked as they are unusual and could cause dangerous falls if missed. 4. |

It is a hotel very close to Chinatown in NY, in the middle of the Soho and the staff is very friendly. Very clean. I loved the wooden floor, the big LCD TV in the room and the free WIFI internet connection. There is no lift if you do not like stairs. |
