Pros: the location, close to metro and restorants, the renovated rooms are nice (we asked to be moved after the first night)
Cons: the noise from the bars downstairs, the old rooms are very small
Good location and friendly staff
Kinda shabby room - needs a coat of paint.
Location, location, location!!! Perfect for evening strolls to small restaurants and wine bars. Soho shopping district is 10-15 min walk. I've been to NYC 7 times, majority of hotel rooms are small and this wasn't an exception. However, room was clean and decorated really nicely. If you don't want to be trapped in tourist city aka Times Square, the Sohotel is a awesome choice. I will be back.
There wasn't an elevator, if stairs is an issue for you, this could be a problem.
Very small room. I've had nicer in NYC for same price.
Location -- restaurants, shops, subway
Little space in room
Very friendly service Decoration Very clean Smell good, like a spa Comfy bed
Bedroom a little small
Location, friendly staff, good TV, comfortable beds
Noisy ac, tiny rooms, no fridge, no lift
Location Staff Interior design
Sky light Low water pressure in shower
the location the cleanliness close to transportation holding your luggage after checking out
breakfast did not included no elevator
Location is wonderful Staff were lovely Rooms were clean
Expensive for the size of the room but it is new York so you can't really expect to pay less. It was the cheapest we found.
First time in my life I had a comfortable bed in a hotel !!! Hotel is also perfectly located - area nearby is full of samll caffe and restaurant with night clubs
size of the room was too small- it was hard to open the suitcase
Service was great Beds were comfy Location was quite perfect near subway and easy to get around
ACs a bit old was a bit humid in the room. But it was not uncomfortable
The staff. very nice
The 2nd floor halls had a smell to them
The pictures on the website.
The real size of rooms. No lift.
Bathroom too small.
Bed was comfortable. The location was convient to bus and train. It seemed safe. Wifi was included.
Rooms was compact. Hotel was more in Chinatown then Soho.
Style of rooms was nice, bathroom was small but very clean and updated, Decently close to two subway stops, Good restaurants in the immediate area, staff was nice and helpful, Room was very quiet
No elevator but they were willing to help with bags, a little hard to locate initially (outdoor sign is not very bright)
Water noise from neighboring rooms. Noise halls. Skylight in the room. Room size.
Great room and helpful and courteous staff for a family of 5. 2 adults + 3 teens. Close to metro.
Location was not the best for teens.
The décor and ambiance of this historic hotel---location, the old brick, wooden floors, friendly and very helpful staff, clean, comfortable beds and clean modernized washrooms. Will check "previous guest" discount to see if it makes a difference in possible future stays.
With no additional amenities other than Wi-Fi, maybe it's a New York thing, but it seemed high at about $280.00 a night and that was with a discount they said. We loved the place, but that's expensive for multiple day stay. Will give up ambiance for apartments close by with kitchens that are cheaper.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Fuses kept blowing in the room.
