THE WARDROBE IS VERY VERY VERY SMALL
The staff is very friendly and helpful (a special mention to Junior, the wonderful doorman). The rooms were very comfortable.
The location is great, the staff is really nice
Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Bacchanal resturant , comfy beds , cleanliness and staff
The noise from road traffic and heating system, thin walls so every noise is heard
The stay was amazing staff went above and beyond, location is perfect with a subway around the corner and loads of shopping just up the road and great restaurants all around
Only thing we didn't like was the lack of hanging space for our clothes
Excellent experience all around. Staff amazing, decor very Soho and a nice change from more traditional hotels. Such a great location!
It's my second stay at The Sohotel, and I chose the hotel because of comfort, amenities and the location. It's just excellent.
I checked in late at night. And had to switch rooms two times; first there was a mouse in the room, and second, the ceiling was leaking. The personnel handled it excellent, however - there was no sort of compensation, which I found disturbing.
We loved everything about the hotel, service, cleanliness, accomodations, cost, location. Perfect for my family (the kids are grown so it's hard to find some place that can accommodate us in one room comfortably but Sohotel did it!)
There was nothing we didn't like.
The location of the hotel was amazing, right in Nolita and super easy for walking and getting around
Thin walls, shower took a very long time to heat up, staff kept forgetting things (eg. I called for a check in by my friend but they forgot I had done so. They tried to charge my friends cc when I had already pre-paid).
Very friendly staff. Nice location. Characteristic building.
Room was a bit on the warm side.
There was a lot of construction going on during our stay and it was messy and loud.
-short way to lower manhattan attractions -the room is for one (!) person big enough
- noise on early day because of construction inside hotel - shower was a bit dirty
Trendy hotel with great staff, great dining options close by and an awesome vibe!! Nice and close to the subway, would definitely recommend this one!
Rooms were quite small but manageable. Also a bit far out of town but thats no dramas at all!!
The staff was very friendly and very accommodating
The decor and friendly staff.
Not being able to adjust the temp of room.
The Sohotel was in a good location and we could walk everywhere. The common spaces were decorated nice, the staff was helpful, and the room was a decent size for NYC.
The walls are paper thin and you can literally hear everything. We could hear people talking in the lobby as if they were right in front of our door and you could hear clear conversations in the rooms next door. Also there was a water pipe running through our room that was clanking all night long.
the location is great between ChinaTown, Lolita, Soho, Lower town, EastVillage....are nice places
I would have liked that the room was a little bit more big
I liked the people and the atmosphere. the staff were lovely and patient, as well as accommodating. When I we expressed discomfort in our room because of lack of heat, they immediately tried to resolve the issues and later moved us to a warmer room.
I didn't like that the room we stayed in the first night was FREEZING cold.
The lobby is beautiful and the staff were excellent.
Now, I know I booked the cheapest room they had available. But I didn't expect: - no elevator, had to climb three flights of stairs and walk through a maze to get to my room - the "bellhop" man to walk me all the way to my room and open my door and come inside my room to show me how the light switches work (I'm a female traveling alone, gave me weird vibes) - no phone - no minifridge/microwave/coffee maker - no adjustable heating - the loudest radiator banging through the night - my knees and almost my face to touch the wall when I went to the bathroom - the air conditioner cemented into the brick wall, which was extremely loud when turned on Basically, I felt I was staying at my friend's tiny apartment, but a friend to whom I couldn't even say, hey check out your radiator and that air conditioner is ridiculous. But then again, if you book a cheap room (especially in NYC), you get a cheap, tiny room.
The hotel is fine; the rooms are small, and a bit over-priced for what they are, but it is New York, so that is par for the course. However, the hotel is doing renovations right now, and a lot of it was happening literally right outside of our room, and we were awakened by construction noises at around 8 o'clock in the morning. We had been staying there for a wedding, and it was a night wedding, and the celebration went until about 3 in the morning, so we weren't too into the rude awakening. The staff didn't really seem to care when we told them.
Everything a cool NYC hip place should be, staff super helpful
Didn't want to leave will come back

The small room.
The staff here are very friendly and accommodating, especially Junior. I enjoy my stays there, and the value is great.
