The beauty of the whole estate especially the planting
Service, restaurant, concierge, room...everything was excellent! Loved the in-room chocolates, coffee and mint water! Spa was beautiful as well and the mud bath experience was fun! Mercedes rental was quite a perk!!!
We had a dog so thought that part was especially wonderful. Food was excellant. Area around Solage was to our liking. Sound proof. Proximity to other rooms.
No ice in the units or near by.
Very nice room. Great outdoor property. Very nice bathrooms. Very good restaurant
A car race was taking place for hours into the night with extremely loud noise. We were not advised by the hotel that a race is taking place. Mediicre room service menu
Resort,position(Calistoga),rooms,pool area,breakfast area,staff,...
We didnt like Restaurant Solbar. It was below our expactations. But in Napa valley you can find better options for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was quite good.Don't look for an alternative.
The room was too bright at night. Mostly from the T.V.
We loved everything! The staff were unbelievably nice and so helpful, especially Tiyressa and Maria who saw to our every whim. The food is fantastic especially the breakfasts!! Yummy warm bread basket with homemade plum jam this morning! Healthy vegetable and fruit juices, or mimosas to start the day
The rooms were contemporary but comfortable - great shower! We loved the free pilates reformer classes, and the spa was wonderful. Best of all was breakfast - the lemon ricotta pancakes are incredible!!!
My husband and I have travelled around the world and we've stayed at many hotels of all classes. Solage is either near perfect or just the perfect combination of service and amenities for us. We travelled with a small dog and young child (both having the potential to create hotel hassles) and our stay couldn't have been better. The room was perfect with top of the line technology (wi-fi, iPod Dock, iPad for room service and hotel amenity requests, etc...). The staff is genuinely helpful and not just "I've plastered on this smile because I expect a large tip in return" nice...there's no awkward tip hovering at this hotel! The food and wine (room service and restaurant) are outstanding and the pool is great. Food and beverages are served poolside and the spa is simply divine. This is the kind of hotel where you can actually relax, enjoy yourself and rest assured that your money was well spent.
The rooms are individual cottages that are beautiful and spacious. The staff is outstanding, they went above and beyond at every opportunity to ensure we weren't only satisfied but loved our stay. That we were able to borrow a Mercedes Benz convertible at no cost was icing on the already fabulous cake.
I loved everything about this resort.
Feeling of pure luxury. Geothermal pool. Incredible room amenities. Great stocked mini bar and super-lush towels. Gender-specific clothing-optional hot springs.
the staff at Solbar was exceptional and made the trip. The room was comfortable and quiet. Gym was also fantastic with great equipment.
I had emailed the concierge ahead of time to prepare a cheese/charcuterie and dessert platter for our room upon arrival - it was my fiancee's 50th birthday. None came and I had to have a friend call one in for me to not ruin the surprise. When it arrived, it was a small and underwhelming cheese plate, no birthday note. again, same thing at the restaurant - no acknowledgement of the celebration other than a small candle. I would not come here again to celebrate special occasions. It feels like a standard stay for luxury 5 star prices. for the prices, I'm better off at Carneros or Calistoga Ranch Resort.
Beautiful resort. Nothing to complain about and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a lovely vacation in Napa Valley...
We visited for our anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased. Beautiful and relaxing!!!!
It was very peaceful and the dining was excellant
Everything was perfect
Beautiful resort and lively rooms that felt very private.
It felt very touristy and attracted a strange demographic. Lots of frat looking men in the pool drinking bud light out of cans on Saturday. Just didn't exude the level of class I expected from such an expensive resort.
The grounds-we found ourselves walking in the parking lot, not very scenic grounds for such a lovely location/high priced resort.
Everything was amazing!!!
Loved the location, being so far North in Napa was very relaxing! The grounds at the hotel were gorgeous. The food & drink were excellent. Beautiful spa & fitness facility. Free exercise classes were awesome. Spa treatment was also great. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Overall ambiance of the resort was fantastic & will definitely return. We were already discussing our return trip before leaving.
Very minor....rooms were clean & nice, but I expected more for the price($650/night for basic 2 QN bed cottage).
Grounds Beautiful!! and the food was Excellent...
Road noise off our room...
The service is exceptional.
Great experience, but the beds and the pillows aren't very comfortable.
The restaurant and pool
Access to the spa pool and hot baths should be complementary.
beautiful resort in great location central to most of Napa/Sonoma region. Well appointed rooms, great facilities, attentive staff.
Nothing we did not like
Free Mercedes rental for 4 hours.
I paid $750 a night for a standard room but had to pay $25 for use of the warm pool each day. The hot spring isn't an actual hot spring, it's just a warmer pool that was heated underground. I think they need to allow all guests to use this free of charge. It's just a standard pool
Room was divine. Quiet, lovely patio, comfortable bed and nice linens. Spacious.
Spa was nothing special. Rather institutional.
