I loved the location. The hotel was very clean .
The internet disconect every day e have to call de tec suport. The housekeeper knot de door every morning and I had de signal "please do not disturb"
The lobby smells so good. Check in and check out was quick. Front desk and room service staff was very accommodating. Conveniently located by Coco Walk and Biscayne Bay
The balcony was very little. Refrigerator didn't get cold.
The location was wonderful. 2 Minute walk from the center of Coconut Groove. Starbucks is in walking distance. The parking staff was fast and responsive. Our first night our TV didn't work so they upgraded our room to a balcony room.
Front desk people could be a little bit friendlier. During our stay 2 cleaning ladies got into a confrontation in the hallway in front of our room. There was money thrown all over the hall and yelling could be heard. Security had to be called to control the situation. We never heard from the front desk or management about the situation which occurred right outside our door. But we never felt unsafe.
Enjoyed my Stay in the Hotel
Nice room, beautiful view. Panaroma restaurant ess nice location for happy hour.
Parking situation. Overpriced and tax added on was excessive
The staff, cleanliness, the view, the surrounding area, all were amazing.
When I went to the pool they asked me for my room number immediately. Little did I know they were charging me just to go to the pool! lol
Love the view off the balcony and excellent WiFi worked like a charm food very affordable for anytime of the day close to Fat Tuesday around the corner in the mall and great restaurants around the area especially one called Jaguar...food was amazing I recommend this hotel to anyone
The infinity pool was the best. Excellent view of the bay. Great location.
The bed was too soft. Not good for your back.
Area is not bad.
1) Wifi worked very bad, also you need to login again, when you come back to room. One day it didn't work at all. 2)Cleaning was not good, cleaning lady only fill the bad. Dust in floor and corners, she didnt clean shower also. 3)On the day of arrival receptionistc(young guy), told that we will be charged last day, however our card was charged next day, leaving us without the money in the middle of the night. In one day, he was trying to charge us deposit, he could not, so he Blocked our door to room, we needed to go to reception and sort situation -that was , not so easy, because stuff was not competent. Receptionist, even couldnt explain, why he blocked our door. We called for manager-Mari Carmen (not professional at all), after long conversation, they agreed that they was not correct. But even didnt say sorry. Last day, they charged again! our debit card full amount, that time, we decided to call to our bank, and our bank return us money back. Unprofessional approach of stuff, nobody even said sorry, total ignorance- they even dont know that for deposit you need to charge credit card. 4)if you are in the pool area, and far from entrance to restaurant, you need to wait long time, while somebody attend you. 5)And many more things, Never again!
The view of the water front when I woke up.
That breakfast wasn't included.
Perfect view for 4th of July fireworks! Room was clean and comfortable. Very big tub. Lobby is beautiful and smells wonderful. Food at panorama is delicious! Pool attendants are very accommodating and attentive. Security at the hotel was very tight. Only hotel guests were allowed in. (Most people wanted to use the location to see the fireworks)
Spent over $50 in valet for two nights. Ridiculous service charges on everything. Pool is old and needs to be remodeled. The railing into the pool was shaky and falling apart. Pool deck very slippery. My son who was walking in slow motion slipped multiple times. During 4th of July our plan was to stay at the pool and enjoy the fireworks. However the pool was closed at 530 due to a buffet dinner. This put a damper on my plans. I also was unaware that the area would be closed to a hotel guest. The refrigerator in the room does not keep anything cold. Had to place my sons milk in a plastic bag of ice. It's a minibar fridge, not sure what it was supposed to keep cold
The view from our room was fantastic.
We could not connect with the wi-fi
Location, View, Pool, Bar
Location is marvelous, green area, close to shopping and restaurant zone
never attemp to live on the city view side: it's extremely load as if you have a disco right on your balcony
I liked the whole ambiance, the rooms were lovely & the views of the Bay full of Yachts & the swimming pool are sensational.......the restaurant Panorama is very good too; the staff do a great job ; in particular Edra & Evian were exceptional at their jobs . So too was Alex the pool attendant, who anticipates everyone's needs with discretion & a keen eye for detail. We had a truly wonderful experience & would go to the Sonesta again & again ........
I believe the pool area should stay exclusive to hotel guests only ; we experienced a rather loud slightly drunk man who was a " friend " of someone's & he had to be asked to leave . The sad thing was, we all knew he was driving his kids to the mayfair & wondered where else & how often does he drive his kids around in the drunk condition he was in!
The bed was great.
Freezing cold in the rooms and public areas.
The staff (registration desk and restaurant) is extremely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to attend to your every need. The location is also excellent. The neoghbourhood is lively without being noisy, there are good restaurants in the vecinity, and there is the sea view! I would say that the hotel provides excellent value for the cost.
The wi-fi arrangement is cumbersome, and unfriendly, requiring (paid) re-conection every time you try to go online, and then refusing on the grounds that "your contract has expired" Something should be done to expedite this process. Our bill had 110 dollars in internet charges for a week (which were inmediately removed at check-out when the issue was mentioned)
The staff and the pool area.
The Hospitality was outstanding and the room was like being at home
That we had to leave so soon... A++++
Room service was good and had fresh squeezed OJ.
The room was a weird shape and in need of renovation. It looks like half Condos half hotel but was not upgraded to modern standards.
Sonesta is well placed, clean hotel
Loved the roominess and full bath and kitchen.
Light in walk in closet didn't work. Coffee maker did not work. Safe wouldn't lock. Phone didn't work. No comforters in suite. Filthy carpet and wet in many areas. Furniture was all scratched up. I called the front desk to report all these issues and the only thing that was fixed was the coffee maker. I called several times for each.
The room was smaller than I thought it would be.
I didn't like having to pay for parking.
