This hotel and it's staff, Jose, and the manager were very rude..On the front balcony of the hotel guests were smoking illegal substances upon my arrival and again on my departure the same day..the airconditioner did not work and they have yet to release the hold on my credit card (over $1200.00) and its been a week since I left the hotel. ..Me and my guest were extremely uncomfortable which is why we left the hotel..I Would never reccommend this hotel, ever! I would appreciate any help from booking to have hotel release the hold on my credit card. Also they claimed to have valet parking which was not true. Terrible customer service. They also tried overcharging me to get out of hotel. I had to complain for 4 hrs b4 it was resolved.

Location is great... breakfast... in the bar for breakfast they had a sign at the table... one per person only - so you could only take one slice of bread and one muffin. traveled hundreds of hotels but have never seen something like this, especially not in a hotel that costs 650$ for 3 nights.

Room was newly renovated so everything was in top condition. However the room I booked and was told I was given was a double room, but all it ha was a king bed and a pull out sofa bed which was not comfortable at all. Other than that it was nice, ended up making my stay shorter...found another hotel casa grande which was right in the mix being right on 8th and ocean drive for much cheaper than what I was paying to stay 8 more blocks up @ south beach plaza. Btw the casa grande was jus as nice as south beach and the staff was great!!!

Great location next to the beach and amidst the vibrant city atmosphere it is a relaxing destination, impressively clean and kept cool eith welcoming and accommodative staff. No real complaints but a bettrr and more extensive breakfast choice with fresh local produce eg fresh orange juice, greater continental & cooked choice would really enhance the hotel

Big inexpensive room. left phone charger in room after checkout and they made it available to pick up the next day. Great location. Helpful staff. A/C leaked, additional charge of $12/day to pay for amenities, "free drink", and beach towels. All of these should be free - this charge is not cool.

Location and very helpful/pleasant doorman. Not much else. The place is a dump! A number of the amenities that had been advertised were not available (E.G. gym/workout facility, restaurant). In fact, although still advertised, there had not been a workout facility for at least two years, according to the staff. There was excess dust all over the place and the door to the bathroom would not lock. The room used an extensive extension cord system to provide electricity, and consequently there were not vacant ones for recharging cell phones, computers or the iron. One of the concierge staffers for the facility was not informative or well groomed! The daily breakfast was limited to a number of boxed/watered down items. I could go on and on! Because of these negatives, I really feel that we should be offered a partial refund on the stay there and would like to formally make that request. This place needs extensive work in terms of the facility itself as well as staff training. I would very much appreciate any offer to discuss our stay with management.

Location No coffee facility in room plumbing problem, three days running I reported the sink tap as faulty, I made it clear professional plumbing was required, was anything done ? no it was not. I met Basil Fawlty in the form of Jose, the Desk Clerk, who threatened to charge me another day's stay if I did not vacate my room at 12 noon, I having already agreed with his previous shift colleague that I could stay to 1 pm, but I failed to get it in writing !!!!! He told me the plumbing in my room was new, it was probably older than him. I refused to leave my room until the plumbing was inspected with me in attendance,. This was eventually done and the poor girl doing the inspection was aghast at the state of it and mumbled something to me in Spanish and she promised to report her findings. I duly gave Jose a right tirade, which probably went in one ear and out of the other , but it made me feel better, which was good. I left a written complaint to the Manager, who was strangely absent on a busy Saturday when I left, I doubt if Basil (sorry Jose) passed it on to him. It was not cheap either, we are talking nearly £ 100 per night for the room and limited "continental" style breakfast. I was rather glad to leave, although to be fair, some of the staff were friendly and gave the appearance of being helpful.

THE worst accommodation we have ever stayed in, including our backpacking days. Hotels should at least have running water that's a basic, and not be falling apart. This place should drastically adjust their prices and call it a backpackers. Nicest thing about this "hotel" is the complimentary drink. Well overdue for an upgrade or downgrade. Rude check-in staff and absolutely not value for money. Try the Beachcomber 10 metres from here for a much better deal. When we complained, hotel claimed we showed up a day earlier and only paid for one night - not true. Would never stay here again and would strongly recommend you take your money elsewhere. TRAVELLERS BEWARE!!

Aside of location and polite staff, can't say much good about the hotel. If you're much tired and you can sleep as dead, the hotel would be OK, in other case you have to spend whole night "enjoying" the noise of cars of motobikes moving on Collins Avenue. Besides, need to add that the air conditioner in our room was impossible to be tuned.

Our stay was comfortable, relaxing, exciting to be close to the action and made super pleasant by the friendliness of one particular staff member.....his name sounds like Devon and he is Jamaican. My wife and I wanted to commend him for being so hospitable.

The hotel is placed in the Art Decó district. The hotel doesn't look like the photos. It is now under reconstruction so you will be waked up by the "nice" sound of the hammers and Black & Decker machines. The breakfast is quite poor and rationed, there is no dining room or saloon where you can eat it, so you have to do it in the middle of the entry hall, sitting just closed to the concierge. The valet parking doesn't work as faster as we were told. But this is not the worst thing. The hotel is the starting point of a disco "drink all you can" route, so the hall is full of drunk people, the disco music is as louder as possible and it is completely impossible to have a rest till the limosine picks them up to take them to the club or disco. The hotel doesn¡t worth 250$ per a weekend night. I've been 3 weeks visiting all Florida and it has been clearly the worst hotel out of the 8 hotels I've stayed in.

I liked that the hotel offered towels for the beach There was contiental breakfeast included but it was not much of a selection, no eggs, bacon or sausage. Also the cleaning process daily took forever we would have to be out of the room all day in order for it to be cleaned.
