False advertisement. On line it states 5 miles to cedar point and it was 32 miles. I needed a room for 5 and got a room for 4 without the option of a family room. Horrible experience! !!
Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We were greeted warmly and were offered wine and cheese upon arrival. Room was wonderful with balcony overlooking the lake. Romantic Jacuzzi. We will definitely go back.
The site is close to many Lake Erie attractions and fishing.
Location was great. The grounds were great.
Walls are paper thin. Could hear person next door SNOORING. You advertised three days for $600. Actual bill came to around $900. What a shock when I checked out. The pools were in no shape to swim in. Green water.
Only improvement I could suggest was offering a little more on the breakfast buffet, such as eggs, bagels with cream cheese, or some other protein item other than yogurt with fruit on the bottom (lots of sugar in those).
Booked my room through booking.com for one price then when I went to check out they tried to charge me 3x the amout saying that booking.com was confusing and they had notified them b4 and still proceeded to charge me 3x the price of my confirmation email. After several threats of bbb he finally found the booking.com price.
No restaurant and rooms were way over priced.
I liked all the outdoor activities and the pools. My grandchildren enjoyed themselves a lot! Our room was on the ground floor and that made it easy for them to go back to the room when needed. The staff couldn't have been nicer and were very helpful! Our coffee maker didn't work and they got a new one for us asap.
Our room was ok. The bathroom tub and sink drained VERY slowly and the drains appeared to be clogged and to me that's nasty. The hot tub was hard to get in and out of. The pillows were terrible either very very flat or lumpy. For the price we paid I expected a much nicer room. Also the were black topping the parking lot and I feel an email would not have been out of the question. The breakfast service they offered was very small but adequate. There was NO microwave and NO refrigerator which I found odd.
View of the lake was fantastic
Quality of breakfast was bad. Little choice and juices were spoiled
How small the rooms and facility actually are. The rooms looked much bigger than they actually are the beds are very small yet comfortable. The outdoor pools are muddled with people and the game room is the size of a standard bathroom.
We loved the location--right on the lake and great swimming pools. The room was very nice with great view of the lake. There were a lot of people there but everyone was thoughtful and considerate of the other guests.
There was a lovely adult pool with a separate kiddie pool right beside it for families. Further away was a separate pool that we thought would be for adults but we were wrong. At one point there were far more children than adults and no room for adults in the hot tub. Another disappointment was that there was not even a place to grab a quick sandwich without leaving the property. No hot breakfast either. When we checked out we did learn that the owners had not been there and if they had they would not have allowed all the children in the adult pool.
location near the lake
staff college-aged and although very nice, inept; room ordinary for the price; originally given a room with a view of a trailer park had to ask for another; breakfast only coffee, yogurt, cereal and bread; housekeeping okay but left us without soap or cups; walls VERY thin could hear our neighbor coughing, talking and snoring; for the price, we could have stayed at a nice hotel in NYC
Room nice, facility nice
You need a better breakfast, & more ice machines it's called a resort why no restaurant or bar or store. Out in the cut have to drive to get some thing to eat or drink .
The staff were very nice and attentive to our needs. There were plenty of activities for us to do on site! The hotel and grounds were clean and well maintained. Our family had a great time!
The hotel room itself was too small for five people. But we made it work and still had fun!
Great playground and 3 pools, kiddie pool was nice. They have a fridge, microwave, roll away cot and it is all 10 a piece per night. It seems to be very nice for boat owners, they have what looks to be a nice dock, it is encircled by rocks and it is deep so waves don't rock boats that are sitting. They also have a small beach area and a cute bench swing by the water. We got a hotel room but the cottages seemed really nice, with a clothes line out back, a Picnic table in front and spaced out pretty well. They also let us check in early as our room was ready early.
Ok there was a single Jesus statue on the beach, we are religious and it seemed a bit strange to us, we also saw little other religious statues different places, just seems strange for a hotel. The contential breakfast doesn't open till 8, but I wouldn't wait around for it, it's donuts, 3 bland cereals, juice, coffee, and yogurt. The jacuzzi in the room is nice as it overlooks the water, but we all commented it's also a but strange, but the kids loved it. We rented a cot and it sagged terribly and we just out it on the floor, the beds also have springs that poke your back, and we threw the bedspreads in a corner, just gross. Bring house shoes because your feet will be black if you walk on the carpet.
Nice location, convenient, not too crowded. Spacious room. Like a sink and dressing area separate from the bathroom. Clean. Outdoor activities were awesome! We were traveling with our granddaughter and she had so much fun swimming and playing outdoors! Always had plenty of towels ready for the swimmers.
Really expensive for what you get. There are some rough spots around the facilities. Minor fixes. Breakfast was very skimpy, not impressed at all.
We were quoted one price through booking.com and then when we got to the hotel they wanted an extra $100 a night. Booking says you don't have to pay up front yet this hotel makes you pay for your first night when you book. Also we were told we would have a beach front view off a balcony yet we had neither. The beds were terrible and you could feel all the springs through the mattress. Along with wanting to over charge us they wanted and extra $10 per item plus tax to have a fridge and microwave in the room. We were extremely disappointed in our stay especially since it was our honeymoon. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
location; ammenities; kids loved the pool area.
cleaning staff took one of my personal wash clothes from my make-up bag (must have thought it was one of theirs despite a different design). It is not a big deal, I just don't like that it was taken from my personal property that should not have been touched. Stay was a bit pricey.
You could hear people in next room talking. Walls too thin!
The swimming pools were great, and lots of things for the kids , jungle gym, basketball court, ect.
There were not restaurants too close and beach area was tiny. Also didn't like paying extra for a mini fridge in the room, and the continental breakfast was skimpy!
Beautiful and spacious breakfast area. Pools were nice. Lots of changing areas in the hotel. Liked the jetted bathtubs in rooms.
Very pricy for what you get. Only one sink for the family suite?? Continental breakfast for that kind of money? Seriously? C'mon, toss me a waffle or egg at least. For that kind of money no newspaper? Lots of places do. No pamphlets about Kelly's Island?? Seriously?
The hotel itself had an amazing swimming and play area for the kids which was awesome. I mean one of the best playgrounds & outdoor kid pool areas I've ever seen. The dock area and all the activities on site were very nice. We only stand to go visit Cedar Point, so didn't reall Room was very big, which was nice and staff was super friendly.
The room I booked on booking.com was not the same room they gave me when I chekced in. Booking.com stated that the Double Deluxe had seperate living area & kitchenette from bedroom. With 3 young kids, this was very important. When checking in I was told that the Double Deluxe actually only had whirlpool tub and 2 double beds (no living area). Luckily the staff was extra friendly and I was able to change to the "family" deluxe that had living area, HOWEVER it did cost another $80.00 to upgrade. If I would of known that I would of just booked at the Cedar Point Hotel, since the only reason I booked here was to have bigger room for $100 less. All in all I would still book again but double checking on actual room I am receiving.
The location was nice and quiet and away from town, which was nice.
breakfast was very lacking, The beds were very hard,The private jacuzzi tub had multiple bugs in it, the fishing area was surrounded with dead fish, the room with a "view" was on the bottom floor and all we could see was the volleyball court. Every game in the game room was broken, the change machine was also broken. The snack machine was broken and only took quarters. The machine contents were 2 types of cookies and empty slots. I felt like we were royally ripped off on this hotel and will never stay there again.
Staff is very nice. The bathtub is so big and easily fit 2 people, also it has the function of massage.
I can hear people talk next door.
Rooms Staff was very kind and helpful
