Loud talkative hotel workers engaging in conversation outside the guest room doors before 8am. Perhaps they could keep the noise level down and away from the rooms in the morning. Also the shower temp was a bit difficult to set, as the pressure was low (understanding the drought issue) but we felt we wasted more water trying to find a comfortable temp.
Nice hot breakfast included in price. Plenty of choices, plenty of seating inside and outside. Located very close (easy walk) to Trader Joe's and Albertson's Markets, a wide variety of restaurants (Kyle's Kitchen, Rusty's Pizza, Coffee Bean & Tea, Starbucks, sushi, Italian, Cold Stone Ice Cream) and a couple of local friendly bars for a nightcap. Overall a good location and quick easy access to downtown and State Street, and 5 minutes (via the 217 freeway) from UCSB. Hadn't stayed here before, but glad we did. Would recommend it if you are not dead set on staying downtown. Good sized room (we had king bed & sofa-very comfy) and big TV as an added bonus when you're in the room.
