There are a few areas where wireless was a small issue.
The lodge was my first impression and that "woodsy" Tahoe feeling started right there. Just like other travelers I'd driven a distance through the northeast Nevada desert area to the pines of Tahoe, so it was a welcome sight walking in those front doors. While the front desk staff was completing the paperwork, I wandered out to the pool and jacuzzi area for my first official breath of Lake Tahoe, aww (you know the feeling if reaching your destination).
I decided, with the staff's advice, to catch the sunset from the pier at the Boathouse where I had a great cab and two smartly prepared appetizers. The sunset was great, so was the Thursday night music, and we finished the sunset watching Golden State win game 1.
It was my first night on vacation so I called and asked try he staff where to go next and the recommended Macduff's. I chatted with some locals and choose to go there the next night. The place I ended up was Rojo's where we sang karaoke and had a few pints with a lot of laughs.
The TLLS is the perfect location there is a beach, you're right near the pier gor rentals, the pool is heated and the jacuzzi is a perfect way to end a Tahoe night. The location while almost right off Hwy 50 is very peaceful and there is plenty of parking space around the area for meeting up with friends for that hike up Mount Tallac or the outdoor adventure you seek, during summer.
South Lake Tahoe is an adventure waiting to happen, like the Renaissance Faire this weekend out at Camp Richardson - way cool.
