South Seas Hotel    

Staff was wonderful. Brought a gorgeous and delicious birthday cake for my aunt's 80th birthday. Loaned us a wheelchair whenever we wanted. Loved breakfast included - made it so easy for us; daughter's could sleep in, get later breakfast and then meet us at the pool.

The breakfast was fantastic. I fridge would have been perfect, although not essential...

Loved the pool, the hammocks, location relative to shops and restaurants, proximity to the beach and breakfast included.

1) The biggest problem is I was travelling with my older father who likes watching movies at night and there was no access to the movie channel. That is a big minus for us. 2) I would like to see a fridge in the room so we could keep cool drinks there. 3) Our room wasn't cleaned one day.

The hotel overall was great. Perfect location with direct access to the beach. The room was exactly as expected. The pool area was great to relax and soak up some sun.

If I had to say anything bad - occasionally there was some buildup of scum at the end of the pool, not sure why, but it was regularly cleaned. The squid dish from the hotel restuarant was very greasy. But overall everything was good

The pool and access to beach was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Ava.

The beds were a bit too firm for us.

Location by the sea. Own swimming pool. Close to popular shopping and dining areas. Clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Wi-Fi signal was too weak in my room making it impossible to use. Had to go to public areas to use internet.

Small room, limited view, hard to get up And down to room

The hotel was very clean and the location was good. It's one the beach with a pool and convenient to shopping and restaurants.

Service was poor. We had to take our own bags up in the very slow elevator because they had no one available to help us. Free breakfast was OK, but not very well staffed. We asked for a fork and they said...we are out of them.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was great right on the beach so you can just walk there. Plus its right in the middle of a bunch of shops and restaurants. Very convenient. Plus its valet parking only so you don't need to find places to park which helps a lot. I would stay here again but definitely not pay $300 again like I did this time.

The room was very small. The bathroom was very small and the toilet was right up against the wall which made it hard sometimes. It definitely wasnt worth $300 a night.Maybe $120.

Location is great to the beach and all the action in South Beach.

There was no refrigerator/minibar. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the bedroom has a distinctive odor that was not pleasant. The prices I was quoted on this website was not the price I had to pay resulting in approximately $100 more per night. Not sure we would stay here again. Room too small for the price!

People staffing the desk were helpful and friendly. The bed was excellent.

Breakfast was dreary. There was no variation from day to day. Worst bagels on the face of the planet.

Open air restaurant, pool area, beach access, orchids, buffet breakfast.

Maintenance details in bathroom: splattered paint, dirty wall tiles, no bathroom ventilation so mold on walls & ceiling, bugs inside ceiling light.

overall look of the hotel is old. They nee d to make a big investment to update the hotel. I found this hotel very overpriced. The WC was leaking all night, the remote control from the TV was fixed with tape...

Well situated. Easy access to the hotel's laptop. Breakfast fruit was fresh (limited choice). Coffee was good.

Staff at the front desk were not very friendly. Pool was being renovated. Breakfast pastries a bit stale.

The pool and bar area were beautiful. Location n South Beach for the price was great.

Booking and Check in: 2/10 We had booked for 6 days via booking.com only to find on arrival that no booking ever existed although I had proof of payment and a voucher. As it was new year and the hotel was full we had to stay the first night in another hotel. When we did finally check in the room was very disappointing and noisy (220). Rooms: 5/10 no glasses, complimentary water, faulty bath tub plug, dirty curtains. Bare walls with no pictures and total lack of ambience Breakfast 5/10: not enough seating, lack of cutlery and poor choice of breakfast . The bad layout meant one long queue (even just to top your coffee up!) as only one person served everyone behind a counter Safety 2/10: Bikes and boxes kept in emergency exits. Also electricity sockets with no casing and bare wiring

Great location right on the beach and close to the shops and restaurants of Lincoln road as well as the night-life of Ocean Drive, nice art-deco building, clean and light.

Thay gave me an upgrade fi not having the pool functional ,very clean the staff very nice ,very good location clouse to everything ,etc

For not aloud me to keep the car there for the rest of the day after I payed all that money for parking

The place of the hotel (not to close to Ocean Drive but also not to far). 2 minutes from Lincoln road, famous for its restaurants and shops. There is a pool. The bonus is (it seems it is the lone hotel in SoBe): a direct access to the beach - 3 min from any room In one word, it worth paying but (see the drawbacks)

The breakfast is repetitive and there is not much choice. Always the same all week long. The parking is 2 blocks from the hotel and it can take some time to get your car (you do not gave the choice to not use if you have a car - almost mandatory in the US) The cost is very expensive and you depend on traffic jam and so forth..

Cushions on pool chairs appeared dirty. Unfortunate since the pool area was very nice.

south seas hotel was very clean. the staff was very courteous and friendly. the poolside was great.

needs slight updating in the bathroom. air vents are needed in the bathroom.
