Score from 6 reviews Excellent
no night tables on both sides of bed. no towel bars in bathroom.stains on desk chair & bed cover. breakfast disappointing, saw bread being collected in bins for use next day.
Free breakfast was nice...especially the waffles on the weekend, and the staff was friendly and courteous. Sold out rooms on the weekend so they couldn't switch our room more than once and other guests we spoke with complained of the same smoke issue.
Non-smoking room(s) reeked of smoke no matter what the staff assured us would work to get rid of it. Air quality in the rooms was terrible and made it difficult to breathe. Had window open 24/7 in 36-64 degree weather just to allow some fresh air in the room and nothing helped. Not even their air ionizer. Gross.
it was comfortable and we liked the breakfast
The hotel smelled of smoke as soon as you entered the facility. We had a non-smoking room, and it smelled badly of smoke.
We, and our friends, thoroughly enjoyed our two days stay at the Southington Days Inn! The breakfast, was excellent, also! We all agreed, the facility was an excellent value, for the price paid.
Though we were on a non-smoking floor, the cigarette smoke from the floor above permeated our room.
It was within a 25 mile radius of where I had to travel
They advertise free breakfast.woke up Sunday morning they had church going onin the breakfast room.no breakfast
It included breakfast, wifi and a few exercise machines, a PC and printer.. We were there for relocation while looking for a permanent place. It was very convenient to everything we needed.
Only downside is no porch otherwise nothing to complain about.room was very nice clean and private and I would recommend staying here for the price you can't beat it!
Every one of the staff was friendly and tried to help. It was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated that the management bent their policy of 'dogs only' on pets and allowed me to bring my cat...though I don't understand why a supposed 'pet friendly' hotel would have excluded cats in the first place...it's not as if domestic cats are unusual or exotic.
No elevators and limited accommodations for disabled or handicapped guests...made it hard for my husband who needs a cane to walk to get to our room on the second floor. Since guests can only enter from the main lobby, it doesn't seem unfeasible to have one lift installed in the main stairwell area to accommodate ADA guests, or else to dedicate some rooms on the first floor for those with disabilities. Also the grab bars in the bathroom were so low as to be only usable if you were a midget or a six year old.
Hair all over the shower, dirty pillows, wall were paper thin, noisy hallways, etc.
Close to everything and the highway. Staff was very friendly
The strong smoke smell in the room. I mean I'm a smoker but it was disgusting. The window should be opened while cleaning and there should be an automatic air freshener in the room to cut down on the odor. I have stayed at other hotels that still have smoking rooms and never was it like that.
Location pretty convenient.
Outside and hallways look shabby and outdated. Rooms were OK
The staff were excellent
Location right off Rt 84 was very convenient and price was reasonable.
WiFi simply did not work (when connected had extremely slow response, then lost connection completely) in the evening (not enough bandwidth?), so I had to get up at 4AM the next morning to complete preparations online for business meeting scheduled for that day. Room did not include ironing board or iron.
Good location for this business trip.
Easy to get to from highway, clean, quiet, comfy bed, good breakfast.
Cleanliness and affordable
Very large and well appointed room. Housekeeping staff very nice and extremely clean rooms. Front desk staff were very nice, extremely polite, and friendly.
The hotel faces a bar which can be very loud and prevent sleep.
The fact that it was very close to where I needed to be for my meetings that week-end.
We couldn't sleep any of the nights because we had a couple making outrageous noises the first and second night. We were so tired and so anxious to get to sleep that we didn't want to call the Front Desk thinking that they wouldn't have needed a call to stop the riot after 12 midnight, but they didn't, and then we figured out that they are watching TV in the Dining Room, so they cannot hear anything.
the music from the bar across the parking lot was extremely loud until 1:40 a.m. this made for a very sleepless night!
comfy beds very clean rooms
