We stayed in the two bed room suite on the the of the house there were 4 of us the place was great, went to several vineyards, and some great places to eat, kitchen in suite was well appointed, great bed and master bath.
Only one thing no ESPN on tv.
Everything was perfect. The rooms were cute and the house was lovely.
most gracious host lovely setting conveniently located to beach, towns, bike paths, vineyards delicious food Very Relaxing
Huge house in the woods, full of antiques and odities. I think our room was arround 100 m2. Bicykles, beachchairs and other facilities avaliable. And a very friendly owner.
Not for people with minimalistic taste. Rooms are only cleaned on departure.
My husband and I felt like we were special guests in this lovely home with its huge piece of beautifully landscaped property in the forest. We loved the tasteful way it is decorated with such lovely antiques. It had so much character. The rooms were bright and quiet, as well as immaculately clean. There were ample linens and toiletries, as well as candy in the room and a refrigerator filled with bottled water. Breakfast in the huge dining room, was delicious. Flo, the innkeeper, is a charming hostess, warm and welcoming with a wealth of information to share about the area. Staying in The Walk In The Woods felt like we had just stepped back in time.(but with a TV and WiFi if we chose to be brought back to 2014) We loved having such a peaceful escape, and hope to return. A Walk in the Woods B & B is fabulous! A beautiful spacious home, expertly decorated with very comfortable & quiet accommodations. Close to beaches, fine dining & many wineries. We were able to bicycle to many locations. Flo is a wonderful hostess, a great cook, & a delight to talk to. The huge front porch welcomed you every evening to sit, relax & enjoy a fine glass of wine.
No signage, so did not find it on the first shot.
It fits its name - it is in a beautiful woods, the house is manorly and the decor is simply fantastic down to the last detail. And the hostess is quite hospitable. All told, fabulous
We had a lovely long weekend at the Walk in the Woods B & B. Location was peaceful, room was lovely and breakfast was good.
Charming bed & breakfast Owner was a lovely woman Suite was clean & well supplied Location was a beautiful wooded area
The only thing that I didn't like was there was a strong room deodorizer scent in the suite. It actually bothered me when trying to sleep. It lasted the first day of our stay & wore off by the second day. So my first nights sleep was not old but was much better the second.
We enjoyed the spacious wrap-around porch in the evening, watching the fireflies and spotting deer in the woods. Loved the tasty breakfast choices. Appreciated the roominess, cleanliness and Flo's gracious hospitality!
A little difficult to find because it is tucked away.
Room was gorgeously unique, quiet and so comfortable! Food delicious. Location private yet close to everything. Flo was an amazing host - accommodating, funny, kind and resourceful. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone.
Room needs to have its own lock.
Everything, just perfect. Flo made us feel right at home.
It was a wonderful stay - perfect getaway from the city. We took a leisurely bike ride to the beach, enjoyed the local vineyards and had romantic dinners in Greenport. All around a great trip, and A walk in the woods b&b was the icing on the cake!
This "Great Gatsby" decorated B&B made us feel as if we were in another era, but with state of the art modern conveniences, like great showers, instant hot and/or cold water, and the most amazing soft, comfortable sheets. Don't even ask about the splendid breakfasts. OMG!
The ambiance - the warmth and welcome of Flo ( we got in absurdly late after our commute doubled from 4 hours to 8) - the cleanliness and charm - the bikes we were able to borrow - the nearness and privacy of crescent beach - the quiet :)
Only one issue - not a complaint but an observation - breakfast was always fruit cereal yogurt etc with a breakfast casserole / the first day it was a sweet casserole and my husband and I do not enjoy a sugary breakfast - the second day she had an egg/ bacon casserole and it was delicious
We loved the atmosphere, the house was absolutely beautiful and Flo, the owner was very hospitable and friendly. We enjoyed talking with her and learning about her horses and the Southold area.
The only inconvenience was not having cell phone reception in and around the house. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.
The location, 10 minutes by bike from the beach and in the midst of the woods, was great. The breakfasts were awesome.
Lovely, Comfy, Warm feeling...Flo and Russ are way cool.
