friendliness and helpfulness of the owner
Wine and cheese welcome with owner and other guests. Fabulous breakfast beautifully prepared and presented.
Owners warm. Relaxed feeling.
The owners are really very nice people and very helpful to reserve a table in a restaurant, wonderful home cooked breakfast, friendly happy hours, fine linens etc...Very well located in the heart of the old town exactly where we wanted to be.
we had to leave this place.
treatment accommodations pool coffee I felt at home cleanliness
The "Staff" and food (breakfasts)were excellent. Together, they made the rates tolerable.
The Inn's location was noisy (due to nearby road traffic). Also, our room's shower was very awkward and uncomfortable to use. Overall our room was nice but not worthy of the rates.
This is a smaller bed and breakfast that offers superb hospitality and service, excellent food and great facilities. Very much like staying at the home of a good friend. Highest recommendation.
Whirlpool bathtub was non-functional
The people that owned it the food was great, place was very clean close to shops. The happy hour in the afternoon was great , they knew all the resturant to go to they even made reservants for use at very good restaurants .
Liked all would go back today,
Beautiful historic B&B with gorgeous furnishings.
We paid $300 per night for the Sandpiper Suite. While it was a beautiful suite we did not feel it was worth that amount of money. The wifi did not work and after reporting it to management was never corrected. The television screen was incredibly small for the size of the room. No one cleaned or freshened our room with clean towels, etc., or made the bed during our two-night stay. While we loved Amelia island we will not stay at the Blue Heron again:(
Fantastic B&B at a great location, excellent facilities and very friendly owners. Nice perk to have access to bike and lovely pool. We will be back
Very friendly, helpful with regard to local attractions and restaurants, very easy going. Liked that they had bicycles and breakfast on the porch!
It is the place ! David and Julie know exactly how to run a bed and breakfast the right way. It's an example of its kind.. Experience elegant comfort. No other words needed. Caution: you addict to the place and their hosts, hard mental therapy is needed when time comes to leave. Your heart has been touched right in the middle. Congratulations David and Julie, you assume.
We had a delightful time. The restaurants, marina and shops being within walking distance was fantastic. We will return in the future!
Comfy bed, wonderful people, great food and very accommodating.
Very delightful stay. Julie and David are wonderful hosts, breakfasts and wine with hors d'oeuvres were very good. Pool and garden were very pleasant place to just read and relax.
Only flaw was the noise from the road, not unbearable, and not something they could do anything about, but it was there.
Everything One of the best and most hospitable B&Bs we have stayed in. Many, many personal touches by the owner, Julie, made it so.
Walking distance to downtown and attreactions. Julie and Dave very personable.
Bed and pillows very uncomfortable.
Beautiful, well appointed inn
Arrived late afternoon and was treated to wine and cheese in the parlor while waiting for my partner to arrive after work. Calm atmosphere, clean, neat room. Had the place to ourselves for the night (good for us, not for the innkeepers). Excellent breakfast in the morning. Location was excellent, owners were present and amiable, but not overbearing. Able to leave our vehicles parked for the day while we explored town. Restaurant Week was going on while we were there, so we took advantage with recommendations from our hosts.
Nothing (except that we only were there for one night).
Wonderful hosts and a lovely old house right in the historic district of the town. The breakfasts were outstanding! We were able to borrow bikes to explore the area but it is an easy walk to shops and restaurants.
