Score from 227 reviews Very good
Very nice staff in a very nice location. Good breakfast. I would definitely return.
The Inn was beautiful and provided exactly what we were looking for in wine country. Phil was the most gracious host - he even gave us a ride into town and picked us up in the evening. We would definitely stay here again!
Staff was excellent, breakfasts enjoyable, proximity to CIA good. Serene, pleasant grounds, beautiful setting.
No TV, inconsistent Wifi, room in need of a paint job, more shelf/counter space needed in bathroom, better lighting in bathroom, needed bedside lighting. Just small fixes would make this place a 10. As is about a 7.
Price was good
Entrance was dark and uninviting . The whole place was dark... Very poor lighting.breckfast was good .. Very sparse on choice also ran out of granola .
Nice grounds. Friendly staff.
Bocce ball court in disrepair. Room too small. Pillows were musky. Outdated bathroom.
The welcoming, hosts are very friendly, the place is beautiful.
Maybe the patio in front of the room could be made a little more comfortable ...
We felt like we were home! The owner and staff were there to satisfy every need. When we checked out Roy, the owner, wasn't available to see us off so he called us in ny a few days later to apologize and thank us for choosing Spanish Villa! Fabulous!,
Location and area was good
The entire house (b&b) needs renovating, felt like I was at grandma's house. The patio's could be really nice if upgraded
Friendly staff. Lovely grounds. Nice quiet location. Fantastic strawberries at breakfast.
Breakfast could use greater variety of items; Cereals, juices, breads.
location of the villa in a more natural setting but close to vineyards & st. Helena. Comfortable beds, & nice bedding. Adequate bathroom facilities.
A tired property. Some misrepresentation, picture on web site is of the owners section, guest section has very inadequate balconies poorly furnished. Awful air conditioning, no controls in rooms, very cold & bad smell.
The staff: Phil & Roy - the most pleasant and helpful house manager and owner I've ever experienced. Wonderful, made us overlook everything that could of been negative.
Toilets, WiFi(almost non existent) and thin walls.
Charming! A very friendly, clean & comfortable place to stay with a great location. The beds were great!! Our host Phil was so helpful and informative. He really made us feel like family. We will definitely stay again
A ceiling fan would be nice:)
Far from the town, more like B&B. Bad internet connection, Poor breakfast.
everything, Phil was a fantastic host!
it was a great place to stay
Awesome innkeeper-Phil! Very helpful. Lovely location, great breakfast.
Great quiet location off of the main highway, yet just a few minutes from St Helena. Great staff and comfortable accommodations. Good wifi access also a plus.
Convenient to the Culinary Institute of America.
Had a funky smell which is hard to describe, the toilet had a clogging problem, the WiFi barely worked in the bedroom, the walls were paper thin (I could hear conversation in the next room), and the tile floors were did not conceal noisy shoes, which kept waking me up when anyone arrived (needed an early bedtime).
Extremely attentive, hosptitable staff. Good b-fasts. Modern bathrooms. Comfortable beds.
Some of the outside area in need of sprucing up.
Terrible breakfast for a b&b
Atmosphere and friendliness
Not sure the cost equals the value. Perhaps a bit more options for the breakfast.
Easy Parking. Phil (staff person) was really helpful. Offered to drive us into town (St. Helena).
Air conditioning was central and didn't work for one day. Other hot days it was almost adequate. Old, noisy, creaky house. No soundproofing between anything. Could hear person upstairs walking around at night. Mediocre breakfast. Ran low on things. Sitting area was not far from rooms - noisy at night. Bathroom old, although everything worked. Only one chair in room. Smallish room.
The room was clean, and cool on a hot day. The staff was nice and friendly. Close to town. Great find!
I like a hot breakfast with meat and scrambled eggs and toast. The light in the bathroom was broken. 70's decor.
The service was amazing. They really made you feel at home. Very accommodating. The Breakfast was really nice as well. I loved the backyard just hanging out. Comfortable beds and very clean.
The Wi-Fi and cell phones were spotty due to location.
The Innkeeper Phil was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The Inn itself had a very clean, cozy, and relaxed atmosphere.
Can't think of a darn thing!!!
