Spaulding Hotel

Het gratis internet op de kamer. Het hotel ligt super centraal midden in het drukke leven van san francisco, echt een aanrader als je voor niet al te veel geld midden in de stad wil zitten en ook nog een goed bed krijgt.

Hotel Spaulding is een goed hotel voor als je niet per se luxe hoeft. De kamer kon wel een nieuw laagje verf gebruiken, maar de locatie en de prijs maken het tot een prima hotel voor een paar nachten. Bij de reservering via booking.com heb ik aangegeven dat ik graag een stille kamer wil hebben indien mogelijk. We hebben inderdaad een stille kamer gekregen.

Nadeel is dat de kamer geen airco heeft en dat je dus je raam open moet zetten voor wat frisse/koele lucht. Wij waren hier in april terwijl het buiten niet al te warm was, maar in de zomer kan een airco waarschijnlijk wel wenselijk zijn. Ander nadeel zijn de hoge parkeerkosten (dichtbijzijnste garage is 29 dollar incl. tax voor 24 uur). Dit is echter te verwachten bij een dergelijke locatie.

location was good to city and aminities

very old hotel and first room we were offered paint peeling from walls and second room had dirty linen glad we were there for 2 nights only ....

It was in union square which was close to the venues we wanted to see.

The bathroom in our room had urine on it and there was no coffee maker or iron in the room.

location is great. , i appreciated the internet and the microwave and the ref in the hotel. nice.

the sheets were not changed , toiletries were not supplied otherwise every thing was okay.

they have the hardest mattress in the world , and the room stinks

This hotel was the definition of a budget hotel, however, budget hotels don't necessarily have to be as dirty and lacking in amenities as this hotel. Even a Motel 6 has a bar of soap and a Do Not Disturb sign. Someone staying across the hall had to hand write a Do Not Disturb sign and tape it to their door. No hot water from the sink, a large stain in the middle of the bedspread, dirty walls and hair throughout the room just added to the nastiness of this place. Stay away!

central location

the internet was great, and location but the rooms left alot to be desired, quite alot for the facilities.

My room was clean. I like the hotel's location as well.

There was a lot of noise during daytime (2) Although I hanged on the door a "don't disturb" sign, room-service personnel ignored it and entered my room more than once. (3) Rooms have no coffee-makers and the hotel does not hot water for making hot drinks. It only has a microwave, which the receptionist told me that I can use to boil water!! (4) There are no telephones in the rooms (5) There is no cable TV (6) The hotel charged $$5 in order to reserve the shuttle for me, which cost $$15 in addition to that charge. I have discovered latter that other companies charge around $$12 in total.

Hotel was a older, and the room was basic, but it was clean (I need clean!). It was cheap at 70 dollars for San Fran and that's why I booked it; excellent price. They had on-site Internet and laundry too.

Older hotel.

It is very close to the downtown San Francisco. I could get to the Union Square only for 3 minutes. It is really convinient to get to shopping centers in San Francisco.
