We enjoyed the wonderful ocean view location, very friendly staff, and wonderful accomodations

Ambiance and the staff

at the time of arrival, there were too many cars park in front. Could not tell it was a loading/unloading zone for the hotel guests. Wish i knew I could of upgraded the room...I just did not ask..Booking.com said "last room"

we loved the room and the staff. The wine and cheese in the afternoon was the best. The location was perfect.

The seagulls and the sewer cleaning smell in the morning was awful.

Personal rooms

Bathtub was not clean room was full of smoke as if someone had been booked the room and left no one cleaned up after them not good as we have stayed with them many times are first bad expireance

Friendly staff that was very helpful. Hotel room was clean. Fireplace in room was great. Great location on the bay and Cannery Row.

I would have liked it to have a balcony versus the windows that cranked open. Room was a little cramped with all the furniture.

Only one Elevator which is extremely slow and exterior stairs are dirty. Parking awkward and inconvenient, no fitness facility.

I like the room, it was beautiful and the surrounding area was beautiful as well

The hotel had a plumbing issue that was took 2 days of our stay to resolve. It was loud and noisy and we were not offered any compensation for the issue. We asked to move to a new room on the beach side, but no go. Also the breakfast was pretty bad, just boxed cereal. It said sliced cheese on the form, but we didnt get any even though we said yes to that selection.

Living in luxury! Very handy to go exploring by bike as it is so close to a dedicated bike path.

The room was great; very comfortable;the view was great. Within walking to food and shopping. Breakfast was limited but very good.

Shower curtain would not slide on rod.

The room is beyobd the expectationand facing directly to the sea.Very romantic!! The staff is so nice and helpful. Will definitely beback again!

Breakfast selection was a bit underwhelming

The gentle calm of the place. It seemed like a well kept 75 year-old elegant hotel. It is much newer and build to an older standard. The location is the best in Monterey. Upon entering the room for the first time I was surprised that the pictures I had seen understated the elegance and beauty. When I saw that the hotel had provided binoculars for our use, I was impressed. The window seat was our favorite spot to share the wonderful California wines we bought. We walked to everything and got great tips of food and shopping from staff.

Service was great, friendly and beautiful.

Slow wifi unless you wanted to pay more. Have gotten faster wifi at much cheaper hotels.

The hotel and staff were amazing. By far my most favorite hotel i've ever stayed. Look forward to going back.

The ocean view was spectacular. The evening wine & cheese was a nice touch too. It was also in a perfect location.

Wonderful ocean view, very comfortable bed, but the best memory was the scent of the room. Lavender, oak and roses.

Shower head wobbled and was hardly worth it. Unfinished/worn area on cabinet adjacent to the toilet.

Staff was extremely helpful. Went the extra mile for their guests. Location was amazing!

My husband and i have just spent a really lovely 2 days at the Spindrift Inn in beautiful Monterey. The ambiance was so warm and inviting as soon as we entered the charming lobby. The open fire with comfortable and chairs and sofa surrounding it. The personal feel was extended by the welcoming staff and the room we booked was really charming. large and roomy with a bay window that opened up onto the beach and beautiful Bay immediately outside. A gas ignition open fire with wood supplied was a wonderful surprise and we curled up in front of it on big comfy armchairs. the decor was great with a tasteful but luxurious feel and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the sounds of the waves at night and the call of the seagulls and the seals in the morning. We would highly recommend the Spindrift for its ambiance and easy reach of the great Aquarium and Cannery Row restaurants. Will visit again from Australia when in California.

The staff was very friendly, loved the rooms, very romantic, beds were excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much and would likely return.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Great room with a balcony on the corner with ocean view and also view of Cannery Row. Breakfast delivered to room was great perk, loved the fireplace.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to everything including the Aquarium. It is on the beach and Cannery Row. The physical plant is very nice with a fireplace in your room. The staff are friendly and really want to please. I will go back there.

Price. We happened to have to be there during a motorcycle event. So the prices everywhere were out of sight. The pricing is better than the Intercontinental which is just a block down the street.

Seaside location.

Room is small, shower and sink water is hard water, never felt clean after using their water.
