Patio cafe had good food.
comfy beds, large rooms, beautiful pool, very helpful front desk(josh) lots of parking free shuttle to universal studios.
Good restaraunt with excellent service
Paying for parking Noisy Seems to have been rennovated to a low quality standard, hence the comparison with an Ikea showroom Insect zapper outside was noisy and you could see the insects suffering from being fried alive, rather distrurbing especially when a larger insect like a moth had to endure many seconds of burning before being zapped
The Pool is great.
TV in Room was not HD
The room and ammenities were nice. The pool waitress was sweet.
The way I was treated when we checked in. I will never come back or refer a friend to stay here. My husband and I travel and stay in hotels often. Never have we experienced such behavior from a hotel.
We can recommend this place to 100 %. Everything went great. Top of the line !!!
Nothing we can think of. All is great!
the look of the hotel the location the idea of the coffee house the swimming pool the quite the size of the room the reception everything we asked for we got on the spot
we had to ask for towels several times there were not enough as we were three they didn't clean the coffee cups in the room either
Loved the décor and the wonderfully comfortable beds and bed linens. Outdoor open fire area.
Not having a minibar / refrigerator in the room. The shower curtain - it didn't matter how careful I was with the curtain there was always a flood of water onto the floor. Having to wait for towels. WiFi was out and in. Bartendar at the pool was incredibly slow.
No fridge and microwave to store and warm your food....
Front desk individuals are very nice and helpful but pool staff definitely were not!
Rooms are large but not very comfortable. No microwave or in room fridge available. Room key worked "sometimes" causing much inconvenience! The facility states it has undergone recent renovation. That is hard to believe. Hallways were depressing and dark.
I loved the décor, the location everything, My room was clean and furnished beautifully!
The weird bugs outside the screen door... they did not hurt anything just did not know what they were.
We stayed here mainly because of the pool and weren't disappointed. The pool is excellent. That's not to say that this was the only good point however. This is a very good three star hotel with nice rooms, good staff and is well positioned for the liked of Universal and downtown LA. It was so good in fact that we returned here for the final 3 days of our staff on LA. I've seen some of the negative reviews and of course others may well have had a poor experience although personally I find it difficult to understand why based on our experiences.
The Patio Cafe service could be a bit haphazard especially if they were the slightest bit busy.
Pool Area, Decor, Adult Hotel
Waited for two hours while other parties were checked in. Staff very unaccommodating, and my reservation for two rooms two beds was not available, and I was stuck with one room two beds and one room with a king. This hotel sells day pool passes to anyone that wants to visit, lots of children and families in the pool. Which felt very crowded.
It was clean and thankfully, I was there for only one night. Because my stay was so terribly, they comped the parking fee.
I got to the hotel and came in the back entrance at 11 p.m. There was no one on duty at the valet stand and no staff to be found. I wandered around the grounds for twenty minutes before finding the front desk. When I finally got to the front desk, the surly man behind the counter asked me to move my car to the front of the building, to which I replied no way; it was late and it could stay in the back parking lot. Though the hotel was nowhere near full, I was given a room between the STAIRWELL and the CATERING OFFICE -- my punishment, I suppose, for not moving my car. I schlepped my own bags up the stairs, there are no elevators and I was offered no help, and spent the next eight hours listening to young people run up and down the stairs. The catering office started up around seven, as did housekeeping and their vacuuming. Oh, and that window in my room, it overlooked the staircase so that anyone walking up and down the stairs looked RIGHT INTO MY ROOM. This is NO HOTEL for the business traveler and I will NEVER stay there again. TERRIBLE service and nowhere near good quality for the price.
Pool was great
Internet reception poor
The pool and Ralphs supermarket across the street
No fridge in room
Service at this hotel was miserable. From the front desk to the cafe (worst waiters ever) to the bartender, I have never seen such a weak attempt to make guests happy. Only the housekeeping staff was hard working.
The hotel name almost made us pass on the hotel, but the reviews were very good. Glad we stayed here. Understated modern decor. Excellent location for Universal Studios. Remarkably quiet. Great pool in the central courtyard.
The cafe was a tad overwhelmed at dinner.
The pool is fantastic and the staff are excellent. It's very well placed for Universal. Rooms were clean and a good size.
For the price you can't do a lot better.
The pool is great, room confortable.
We were supposed to have Room with a view. We had a view on a Water tank. in front of our window.
Excellent location. Very near the point of interest place like Hollywood etc..
Parking not free No free breakfast Room not sound proof. Can hear people from other room talking
The maid would consistently forget to leave coffee. Took away water glasses, and neglected to leave new/clean glasses. $14.00 per day to park. I had to find out for myself that I get half off if I tell them I belong to AAA.
Clean fresh feel to the hotel with modern decor. The onsite restaurant was suprisingly good and I liked the free shuttle service to Universal Studios.
Nothing bad to comment
