Great location, modern and clean hotel with all the amenities. Nice cafe with very friendly staff.
One night the internet didn't work and when I called reception they told me to just keep trying to log in. The next day I found out they had changed the password ....!
The glass door on the bathroom, lit up the whole room during the night.
We were really close to bus for Universal Studios and Hollywood which was our main reason for staying there.
Ease of check in. Plenty of parking, but valet would be nice. Food was good. Comfortable rooms.
No 24 hour room service is a minus. A lot of musicians and entertainers arrive late and a 24 menu is a deciding factor many times. Also, smoking should be allowed on outdoor patios. What's the harm? Artists and entertainers still smoke.
- Spacy, comfy and nicely designed rooms - Great location - Great view from our room - Good restaurants in walking distance - Very friendly and helpful staff - Free shuttle to Universal Studios
Incidentally, it was The second Time that my booking couldnt be found in The Hotels booking system. I was Lucky that they still had a Room available when we arrived ;)
- Good location near beverly hills and hollywood, - very nice modern room, - comfortable bed, - nice neighbourhood near the hotel with supermarket oposite the street and several cafes, - parking
- breakfast not included, - staff of the hotel are entering the room early in the morning without permission,
Patio cafe had good food.
Central location, walking distance to grocery store, good restaurants, pubs, boutiques. Easy access to local attractions. Staff tries hard to accommodate your needs. Huge swimming pool with outdoor bar, fun atmosphere, especially when Will is bartending. Food at Patio Cafe very good, generous portions. Nice landscaping, rooms are a nice size. Second stay here, will come again next time. Unique decor, bright colors, except the hallways.
Having to pay $14 a day for parking was biggest drawback. Seems unfair, room rate is high enough and there is a huge lot. Bed linens didn't smell fresh, had to request new pillow cases, received nicer pillows, too. Surprised at extreme shower water pressure, really harsh, not helping drought issue! Small closet space. Suggest new screen doors for balcony access.
comfy beds, large rooms, beautiful pool, very helpful front desk(josh) lots of parking free shuttle to universal studios.
Good restaraunt with excellent service
Paying for parking Noisy Seems to have been rennovated to a low quality standard, hence the comparison with an Ikea showroom Insect zapper outside was noisy and you could see the insects suffering from being fried alive, rather distrurbing especially when a larger insect like a moth had to endure many seconds of burning before being zapped
The Pool is great.
TV in Room was not HD
There Was not an elevator on our side of the building. We had ants in our room. Our bathtub leaked water, more than just a drip. When we asked the front desk employees about the ants, they asked if we could've left the balcony door open. The balcony door was open for about 10 seconds. We felt a little like they were accusing us of causing the ants to be in the room. The decking on the balcony was rotten. Breakfast served in the room was good. The server that delivered the breakfast was wonderful. The maintenance staff was extremely helpful in assisting us down the stairs. He said he was pushing for an elevator on our side of the complex.
No elevator on our side of the complex. Ants in the room. Asking if we left the door to the balcony door open after we told them we had ants in our room.
An underrated *** hotel and should be upgraded. Due to a "lucky" booking error we had to move here as when we got to LA our original hotel had been cancelled whilst on our flight to LA. Sportsmen's Lodge accommodated us quickly and efficiently (via Booking.com) without any fuss. Lots of activity going on around the pool. Very receptive and friendly staff.
No promotional material at the hotel of what was available in the local area.
The room and ammenities were nice. The pool waitress was sweet.
The way I was treated when we checked in. I will never come back or refer a friend to stay here. My husband and I travel and stay in hotels often. Never have we experienced such behavior from a hotel.
We can recommend this place to 100 %. Everything went great. Top of the line !!!
Nothing we can think of. All is great!
the look of the hotel the location the idea of the coffee house the swimming pool the quite the size of the room the reception everything we asked for we got on the spot
we had to ask for towels several times there were not enough as we were three they didn't clean the coffee cups in the room either
Loved the décor and the wonderfully comfortable beds and bed linens. Outdoor open fire area.
Not having a minibar / refrigerator in the room. The shower curtain - it didn't matter how careful I was with the curtain there was always a flood of water onto the floor. Having to wait for towels. WiFi was out and in. Bartendar at the pool was incredibly slow.
No fridge and microwave to store and warm your food....
Front desk individuals are very nice and helpful but pool staff definitely were not!
Rooms are large but not very comfortable. No microwave or in room fridge available. Room key worked "sometimes" causing much inconvenience! The facility states it has undergone recent renovation. That is hard to believe. Hallways were depressing and dark.
I loved the décor, the location everything, My room was clean and furnished beautifully!
The weird bugs outside the screen door... they did not hurt anything just did not know what they were.
We stayed here mainly because of the pool and weren't disappointed. The pool is excellent. That's not to say that this was the only good point however. This is a very good three star hotel with nice rooms, good staff and is well positioned for the liked of Universal and downtown LA. It was so good in fact that we returned here for the final 3 days of our staff on LA. I've seen some of the negative reviews and of course others may well have had a poor experience although personally I find it difficult to understand why based on our experiences.
The Patio Cafe service could be a bit haphazard especially if they were the slightest bit busy.
Pool Area, Decor, Adult Hotel
Waited for two hours while other parties were checked in. Staff very unaccommodating, and my reservation for two rooms two beds was not available, and I was stuck with one room two beds and one room with a king. This hotel sells day pool passes to anyone that wants to visit, lots of children and families in the pool. Which felt very crowded.
It was clean and thankfully, I was there for only one night. Because my stay was so terribly, they comped the parking fee.
I got to the hotel and came in the back entrance at 11 p.m. There was no one on duty at the valet stand and no staff to be found. I wandered around the grounds for twenty minutes before finding the front desk. When I finally got to the front desk, the surly man behind the counter asked me to move my car to the front of the building, to which I replied no way; it was late and it could stay in the back parking lot. Though the hotel was nowhere near full, I was given a room between the STAIRWELL and the CATERING OFFICE -- my punishment, I suppose, for not moving my car. I schlepped my own bags up the stairs, there are no elevators and I was offered no help, and spent the next eight hours listening to young people run up and down the stairs. The catering office started up around seven, as did housekeeping and their vacuuming. Oh, and that window in my room, it overlooked the staircase so that anyone walking up and down the stairs looked RIGHT INTO MY ROOM. This is NO HOTEL for the business traveler and I will NEVER stay there again. TERRIBLE service and nowhere near good quality for the price.
Pool was great
