We stayed in the cottage and had plenty of room for a family of 4. The homemade breakfasts were excellent!
very friendly staff and cute place. The food was excellent! They placed little snacks after breakfast and in the afternoon with coffee which was excellent. the location is very nice. Newport is small, so everything is pretty much in the walking distance.
Had an enjoyable stay would stay again if in the area
Cozy, comfortable and clean with a yard for off street parking as you would have a big problem with on street parking in Newport. Courteous and accommodating staff. Continental Breakfast was delicious. Close enough to the water for a nice walk along the boardwalk and nice shops for shopping and picking up gifts. Nice restaurants for a nice relaxing and romantic dinner.
Location! The food was excellent - including soup for lunch, superb breakfast and late night dessert after returning from dinner. Wonderful staff made you feel welcome. Price was perfect.
These aren't dislikes - just things to be aware of: limited parking, winding stairs, room was simple but clean. The inn reminded me of a compact European hotel.
Host (Phil) was delightful. Breakfast was scrumptious. Location is very convenient and within walking distance of Thames St. shopping.
Room was small. There was only one chair in the room which was for a little person (some sort of antique).
Prime location on Thames Street. Spacious, comfortable guest house with roof deck -perfect for a group of friends. Very cozy and staff was very helpful and accommodating, especially regarding helping us with parking.
Everything was SO great! The owner was unbelievably accommodating. I'm gluten and dairy free and he went out of his way to make sure I had almond milk every morning and a hot gluten free breakfast! When I stay in Newport from now on, I'll be staying at The Spring Street Inn. Loved it.
Had a great time on our trip to Newport. Spring St Inn was clean, friendly and non-intrusive. We had a positive experience and look forward to our next mini- vacation.
Cooked breakfast Tempur-pedic mattress
Location too close to main traffic-stream and noice
very spacious fully equipped kitchen fantastic value for money would be a great base for a longer stay
We couldn't find the way onto the roof terrace. All doors appeared to be locked, and we didn't have a working key. It was too cold to sit outside anyway, but we would have liked to have seen the view.
Wifi location price Although we did not try any, the owner put out biscuits, soups and coffee for the guests, which I believe is done daily
parking can be difficult bathroom shower is really small
Great location and within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, and attractions. We were greeted at the door and offered a snack and beverages. Room was clean, quaint and cozy. The breakfast was excellent. Overall a great experience.
The rooms and bathrooms in particular are little dated but redecorating is underway.
Breakfast was great. Owner made homemade soup available in afternoon for snack and freshly baked cake. Snuck back for delicious soup to hold us over for dinner in between mansion tours. Great value for money.

Friendly host Great central location Parking on site Breakfast Good value- we stayed in off peak season
There are narrow stairs to take your suitcases upstairs but I didn't expect a lift in an old house
the other guests
Beautiful colonial house with very comfortable ensuite room. Sitting area with table a good place to play games. Someone uses the kitchen to bake in the evenings, filling the inn with the aroma of cakes - some of which are served at breakfast buffet. Shared table in dining room good for sociable breakfast with other guests. Snacks available all day which makes for a lovely afternoon tea.
Baking smell was a bit overpowering for one of us. WiFi intermittent.
Friendly helpful staff, comfy bed, food, location
The stairs...but it was worth it for lovely breeze. And, staff helped with our luggage.
Location Host and assistant very friendly and helpful Friendly atmosphere/homelike Cleanliness
Furniture in room poor quality shower Lack of communal space Food was OK Price seems high for what you get compared to other properties

Nice place and perfect location,in the middle of everything. Good breakfast!!!
