Great location Great price Large rooms Very clean Good views Free breakfast
Nothing was bad about this hotel. I have stayed in MANY hotels in this town and wish I found this sooner. We will be back here year after year for sure.
The people at Springhill Suites were really friendly and helpful. They catered to our every need, by making reservations at restaurants and suggesting places to visit. The rooms were clean and we had a great view. We had a great stay here.
location. hotel is close to every where but have to walk to union station >30min.
The location was perfect for our two young grand daughters to walk to the American Girl Place, Gino's East Pizza, Ed Debevic's and a trolley ride to Navy Pier. This facility was very quiet, clean, and family friendly, although many guests were business people. The complementary breakfast was excellent and the girls enjoyed the pool.
Very we'll located. Friendly and helpful staff. Included breakfast was fair bit a good reason to stay. Great view across Chocago from our room on floor 25.
One of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in. Central location made all attractions accessible on foot. Extensive, fresh breakfast buffet.
Good staff especially Veronica
Bed a bit uncomfortable.
smelt like mold / mildew old mattresses
Room was tight for a suite. Hotel is showing wear.
Excellent staff good location very good breakfast
-Rooms accommodated for a large group -Great proximity to night life and shopping!
-Pull out sofa bed was horribly uncomfortable- you could feel the springs!
It was a great location and the staff was fantastic. The room was great and we were on a higher floor, so our view was great too! The breakfast was really good and we were pleasantly surprised with all this location had to offer!
The wifi was a little slow.
staff was great
Without exception, every staff member was friendly, gracious, helpful and courteous. I felt like they really wanted us to have a great vacation. The location was very good - walkable to most sights. The room was clean and pleasant. Nice lobby, great breakfast except for the crowds on the 4th of July. The rooms could use bedside lamps and I would have like queen beds instead of doubles. Lots to like here but I would not stay again as I would try to get a hotel with a nicer, bigger pool.
We specifically picked this hotel because it had a pool. It was tiny, dark, weird material on the bottom and heavily chlorinated (even for a hotel). Hot tub was smaller than most you would have in a backyard. On our first 3 days, breakfast was great. The last 2 days (July 4th holiday and July 5th), were well over capacity for the dining room. We had to stand in line for food and the dining room was unpleasantly packed. The staff and mgmt did their best to minimize the impact of the crowd but it was still a bit of a disaster those days. The Springhill Suites were attached to the Residence Inn. The Residence Inn guests were treated to a lovely buffet and drinks every evening but Springhill guests a few hundred feet away were denied access .
Staff very efficient and friendly, breakfast options great, lobby spacious and inviting for resting after hard day as tourist
Lifts took a long time coming especially when a lift was out of service for the domestic staff.
Free Breakfast Room was clean Staff nice Got a greak deal on room from booking.com
Hallways smelled funny, but could not smell in room. The sun coming through the blinds in the morning was annoying. Other than that it was a great stay.
Residence Inn which is connected to this hotel is much nicer. Staff was wonderful and switched us to the nicer side. :)
Very well located, spacious, light and clean. With excellent breakfast. The staff are friendly and attentive.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was awesome. The breakfast awesome. Very clean and comfy!!
It was a little pricey, but worth it.
Pool in house. Good location. Breakfast. Friendly staff.
Josh is great at check in he engages w customers well and has a smile. Veronica is FANTASTIC! She makes breakfast personal and fun her stories of guest gone by are never to much and she shows how important the guest and hotel are to her. My children met her in April and were looking forward to seeing her this past trip, but it was her weekend off. But our stay was great.
The lamp in our room (overhead hanging lamp) was damaged. It appeared to be hanging by a few wires I advised my children not to use it. I believe I brought it to the attention of guest services if not the room was 718.
View of city
Double double "suite" holds max of 5 people but description did not make it clear we would all be in one room, no privacy. When we reported to staff that this was a problem their only solution was to offer us a second room at the same price, doubling the expected cost. Obviously that defeated the purpose of choosing this room type. We could have gotten two rooms elsewhere for less money and had privacy and two baths. Breakfast started so late that we did not get to have the included breakfast. We were told upon check in that it started at 7:30. When we came down to check out at 7:10 we were told we could eat breakfast then but of course we were leaving for our appointment at that point. Had we known we would have come down earlier. Also, the room was smaller than usual, the sofa was losing threads and the SELF PARK parking was $50/night. It would have been $47 if we had had it validated but the front desk clerk told me that given when we checked in it would be cheaper to not charge it to the hotel. That was incorrect. The staff had a no can do attitude and in fact they couldn't help us with anything. We were very dissatisfied and frustrated.
I didn't like the parking wasn't included with the room with the rate of pay it was.
The suite room is not big as a normal suite room at other hotels, very small
Great location near lots of restaurants and bars. Close walking distance to lots of attractions. Liked the suite layout, was roomy for two people but could be "cozy" for four. Enjoyed playing dice/cards in dining area one evening.
Cost of parking for one night very high but I'm sure it's in the range for all hotels in Chicago.
