Overall, I thought the staff at SpringHill Suites was very pleasant and courteous, especially those working the morning buffet, which is usually a thankless job. Unfortunately, I was forced to rate the staff as "Fair" because of my frustrating experience trying to get sheets for my daughter's bed the night of Aug. 23rd. (see my negative comments)
I thought the breakfast buffet was good, and appreciated all the extra condiments/toppings, such as spinach and cheese for the eggs, and the brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans, coconut, and dried cranberries for the oatmeal. The buffet staff worked hard to keep the area clean. My only suggestion is that they move the milk cooler out of the corner by the waffle makers. It is difficult to see when the lines get long, and you are forced to cut through both lines in order to get anything from the cooler.
My 9-yr-old daughter was going to sleep on the pull-out bed, but there were no sheets on the bed or in the closet. I called the front desk at 10:25pm to ask that bedding be brought up to our room. We waited 20 minutes - no sheets. I called again, and they said the sheets would be right up. I finally gave up waiting at around 11:00 and went down to the desk personally to get some sheets so my daughter could go to sleep. The front desk clerk said they didn't have sheets, and mumbled something about housekeeping. I told her to let me know where housekeeping was, and that I would get the sheets myself. (more than a little irritated at this point) She barely acknowledged me, and pulled someone aside and asked them to get the sheets. He was very polite and said he would be right up (not so much.) We finally received sheets at 11:23, almost an hour after my first phone call. I'm not sure who was to blame, but the front desk clerk should have followed up after my second phone call to make sure housekeeping brought the sheets up or should have done it herself. At the very least, she should have been apologetic when I was forced to come down to the front desk personally to find out what was going on.
