I regret to inform you that my stay at the Spring Hill Suite in Providence West Warwick was negative for a few main reasons. But first, I would like to provide feedback on the positive features that my wife and I enjoyed during our stay. First, the overall size/layout of the room was sufficient. Also the furniture, bed, and bathroom fell within our likings. However, the negative features far outweighed the positives, which turned our relaxing night out into an unpleasurable experience.
My wife and I stayed in room number 215, which is located directly above the outdoor patio by the pool. My wife and I were kept up until the early morning hours by people talking and laughing outside. We were first awaken shortly after falling asleep, approximately 11pm by the noise outside. We then decided to turn the air conditioner on to drown out the noise. However, decreasing the temperature and switching the AC to the constant fan mode failed to kick the unit on. After tinkering with the AC for 5 minutes or so, I just gave up on it.
At this point into the night, it was too late to pack everything up, get dressed, and go downstairs to request a different room, so we decided to just deal with the interruption. My wife and I did end up falling back asleep around 2pm after the crowd below cleared, but the interruption and lack of sleep definitely was not what we expected, nor wanted on our night away.
The next morning during checkout, I waited for the hotel clerk to ask us how our stay was and I was going to inform him of the troubles we had, however, the man never even asked us how are stay was. I was quite frankly put off by this, and since there was a line behind us, I figured I would just write a letter to vent our frustration. In the end, our stay at your hotel was a very frustrating experience and I expect some compensation for the below average conditions.
