This wonderful inn in the heart of St Augustine's historic district was the perfect place to spend a few nights. We stayed in 2 different rooms, first Miss Emily's, then the Overlook room. Both were romantic, clean, large and with comfortable beds with a jacuzzi tub for two. The staff was caring and attentive. Each breakfast was delicious (and not too early in the morning). And being able to take our breakfast into the beautiful, lush garden was an added bonus. The inn features a delightful social hour every day with free wine and beer from 5-6pm and and homemade dessert from 8-9:30 each day. There was always a full pot of coffee in the inn's antique filled sitting room and fruit infused water to drink. With free parking, free bicycles and a pool open 24 hours day, this inn surpasses even the nicest 4 or 5 star hotel. We highly recommend this charming inn to all who visit St Augustine.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly! They make you feel like you own the place! The room (courtyard hideaway) was very cozy and clean!
Our first visit to St. Augustine was a fabulous experience. The staff at St. Francis Inn were exceptionally professional, courteous, accommodating of extra requests, and made us feel as though we were among family. The staff was warm, caring and loving. They showed an interest in making our stay a pleasant one as well as being available at all times. The premises, including the rooms were always clean and landscape well maintained. On a scale of 1-10 I give St. Francis Inn a 20! We plan on going back and referring our friends and family.
Great place to stay, beautiful garden, exceptional breakfast, historic ambience, pool, location in historic quarters. Free soft drinks and delicious (complimentary) desserts in the evening.
Everything! Breakfasts were wonderful. Happy hour was relaxing. S'mores by the fire was cozy. Parking, beach chairs and towels by the beach was very convenient. The Inn itself is amazing. Cynthia and Travis are both assets to this establishment. No better place to relax and unwind.
Breakfasts and evening snacks and Dessert....also location was great for seeing the Historic district...Parking was also very convenient...Stall was very helpful with reservations and directions..the Ocean Front option was great for parking car
walking up steps was difficult, and would not work for anyone with leg/feet disabilities, and the TVs in room were a little too small
Too many power outages
Good quiet location yet within easy walking distance of the main attractions. Easy parking. Lovely historic atmosphere in the Inn itself. There is an excellent early evening social time when free wine and drinks plus snacks are offered. This encourages guests to meet and chat together . There is a pleasant shady garden and a small pool.
The pool is only small with not much space for loungers or chairs around the side. But this was not a major concern for us as we were out for most of the day.
Location, more vintage feel of the facility and decor. Easy parking and access.
Loved the breakfast.
I thought we were getting a ground floor unit. Instead it was upstairs and I have a broken leg. They gave us their beach cottage which was good. But it was 15 min away and near the beach when the weather was cold and rainy. So it wasn't the experience I wanted to spend my money on.
We really enjoyed everything. We especially enjoyed having the fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The breakfast, happy hour, and desserts were awesome. The picnic lunch at the beach was great. We look forward to visiting again in the future.
The mattress sagged a little.
The location is excellent and the breakfast is very good.
The room was very small and it was cold. There is no central heating system and the electric fan heater did not work. Probably not a problem most of the year.
The staff and the pretty garden
The ac kept us awake all night, too noisy and we were cold and unable to turn it off.
Great breakfast, good parking, nice grounds
Our room, the "courtyard" was very , very small and noisy both from the street and the room above. The mattress was old and you rolled to the middle. My comments were for this room only and I am sure that the more expensive rooms were much nicer
Everything is perfect in this hotel! The hotel is just beautifull, the breakfust is delightfull and varied, the rooms are sweet and romantic, the city is great and beautifull, the staff is so nice...come to this hotel!
quaint clean excellent food
The inn was incredibly clean and the staff were very courteous. Definitely try to get a room on the 3rd floor!
