Location, the staff was very helpful and wiling to accomodate our needs. The room was very warm at night and we were unable to turn down heat. We did open a window and that helped.

The St. Francis is perfectly located for visiting most of Santa Fe's tourist attractions and good restaurants. Our room was very cold and it wasn't readily apparent how to adjust the temperature. Parking is minimum at the hotel. The bathroom is extremely small and the sink was actually across from the bed. For an area with water usage issues, there was no way to close the sink drain for shaving.

The close proximity to "The Plaza" The room was very small, the wood floors were totally unfinished, the small tv had poor reception, and the room was very expensive for the size, furnishings, and quality. It was a rip off.

The hotel was very pretty, staff were very friendly, great location, nice bar The room we got was tiny, we've backpacked through nearly all of America and that room was the smallest to date. It was a double. I didn't find the bed comfortable at all, it was small for two people. The price for breakfast is minimum $8. Not good value for money overall.

The hotel is tastefully decorated, with a simple but classy touch of understatement. One can still feel the spiritual aura of this former Franciscan House. There was nothing I didn't like.

Super location, lots of character. The bed! It had a waterproof mattress cover (which fortunately I don't need!!) and so was not comfortable.

The St. Francis is a small hotel in a location convenient to downtown Santa Fe. Our room was small but comfortable, nicely furnished and air conditioned, with convenient parking at a reasonable rate and good breakfast service in the dining room Overall, it is an excellent place for a few days enjoying Santa Fe without exorbitant costs.

Beautiful aesthetic. Terrific location. Secreto bar and staff there are exceptional. Really enjoyed our stay. One note on question number 2: I would change the categories. They don't really describe the hotel. They seem a bit too broad and abritrary. Just a suggestion. Your reception staff is earnest but very green. They just need more training in how to deliver information, welcome all guests with area map and info.(some got it, we didn't) and generally deliver a high level of standardized service . I head customer service for my company and my observation is that it's a training, not an attitude, issue. Just need to bring the level of sophistication up a bit to match your hotel. Also, our room was a small and the bathrooms tight but we realize this is a function of the hotel's historical aspect. Probably not something you can fix.

The hotel has a beautiful renovation, but is old and small, so things like lighting, space etc.. are not like a usual experience of this price range.

The location was perfect, right in the center of Santa Fe, close to great restaurants and shops. The staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast at La Tabla was excellent. I know the rooms are small, so space is limited, but I really like having a coffe pot in the room. An iron and ironing board come in handy, too, as shirts get wrinkled in a suitcase, but these are trivial complaints.

Georgous renovation..very well done. When we travel we will not stay anywhere that is not as nice as our house..Your hotel qualified. Senior staff very accommodating, and highly capable of problem solving, see below. Service staff, not so much. Air conditioning was totally unsatisfactory...We had to request two times for a different room...However, finally staff did accommodate us and we got a comparable different room that had adequate a/C. Overall, our stay was good. Biggest criticism was the bar/no table service, and a totally inadequate beverage (beer/wine) selection list. Food and food service was average for a higher end hotel. May or may not return, depends on the renovation status of La Fonda..

When my husband and my family come to Santa Fe we always stay at the St.FrancisHotel. We like the design of old spanish architecture and the down town location. We come to Santa Fe for the Opera most times. However I have family and friends from other countries and I enjoy bringing them ti the Santa Fe and of course stay at the St. Francis. Sincerely Gwendoline G. Bowers P/S. I would like a mirror in the the room other than the one over the sink!

The hotel was very peaceful. The room was small (I stayed in a queen size room) but certainly enough for my needs and had a great hook/bench furniture piece that was convenient. Also, it had french door like windows that you could open and feel the cool breeze of the wonderful Santa Fe nights. The bed was comfy and soft w/ plush bedding. The hotel is in a great location! It is very close to the plaza and walking distance to everything. I walked to my conference hotel, to dinner and to a drugstore by the plaza to get essentials. It also has a nice restaurant bar although I didn't eat there. At night, they light candles in the lobby and it is such a nice atmosphere! The decor is taupe, tan and ivory and is beautiful. It is quaint and small, cozy and sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and got a fabulous rate on booking.com! The front desk check in was somewhat laborious but check out was fast and easy.
