What a charming place to stay... nothing like a chain hotel. Once inside the hotel, you forget you're in the heart if Clayton. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfy, the complimentary breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, cereals, danish, bagels, juice and coffee and was tasty. There were cookies in the afternoon. They offer valet parking for an additional fee (worth it). They have three floors and do not have an elevator. The staff will assist with your luggage if needed. Would definitely stay here again.
Decor was beautiful and story was delightful. Little extras were a lovely touch and the Irish Pub was great. Great food and beer.
A car may be needed to explore nearby attractions.
This is an older but very well-maintained hotel. Staff was very courteous. Our room was clean and most comfortable. We both thought the bed was excellent.
Courtyard, attached breakfast room and restaurant on site.
Parking seemed to be a problem no elevator may be an issue for some but staff is very help with luggage up and downstairs.
I wish we could have staid longer! this hotel is very nice, not like any of the big national chains. it has a lot of "personality" and is located in a pleasant neighborhood of St. Louis. I would warmly recommend it!
no elevator no food for breakfast very little no floor mat in the bathtub very unfriendly people . the room was way too high and had to pay for parking.
We liked the location because we go downtown to Cardinals games and it's not as hectic or noisy in that area.
We travel downtown via the Metro link and the distance to the terminal is a little bit further away than we usually have to go, but it's worth the extra effort.
Very nice and polite staff.
Water wasn't available for breakfast. Very few (if any) waste cans could be found on the property.
Staff were pleasant.
Was not made aware of complementary services offered eg Breakfast, afternoon nibbles and wine tasting etc...
The ambience of a quaint inn, so comforting and cozy. The location to bars and restaurants was great and it was close to shopping as well.
It was pricey, I am not sure why it had to be so much.
The court yard was beautiful. And bar staff very friendly
the staff were very friendly and proffesional
no elevators or ice machines
It was only a quick one-night stay - it at 9 pm, out at noon the next day. Comfortable bed, onsite bar and grill, friendly staff.
My room was in a very noisy location. Heard the semi truck start up right out my window and shined his headlights in my window in the wee hours of the morning, the trash truck rattling the garbage bin quite early and the food delivery trucks arrive. Room smelled a little stuffy.
Need at least a treadmill available
Our room was so comfy right down to the feather pillows. The staff was very helpful. Molly Darcy's was a cozy and food was good. The whole place was charming.
Breakfast sandwiches were awful and milk was tepid at breakfast.
A real boutique hotel with wonderful hospitality and great bar. Its an ideal place for romantic stay.
Location for sure
lack of parking
The charm of the place. Built in the 1920's and still has all the charm of that era. The breakfast room is beautiful. The staff is unbelievably friendly and accommodating.
We reserved a King and last minute they had to mark that room as "out of order" so we had a smaller bed and room because of it. They did however give us a complimentary bottle of champagne to make up for it.
