Staff great. Took metro to ball game. Great idea! Room very nice.
Stunning lobby, breakfast BLT was amazing, nice clean new room
Staff Is rough around the edges and could defiantly use some training on not yelling back and forth at each other etc. A more obvious sign for reception would be appreciated by all future guests i am sure.
The LONG walk to our room. Need more elevators.
Wonderful hospitality from staff. Enjoyed small compliments such as warm cookie at check-in. Rooms were nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Minor problem, menu for food at the bar needs more variety, but nothing that would keep me from coming back.
The staff was very courteous. Next to light rail stop which takes you to the Cardinals stadium or downtown. The hotel gave free trolley tickets to the baseball game. The great hall architecture and light show was cool.
As of Sept. 1 2014, no free breakfast. Einstein Bagels is NOT located nearby. (they closed) The pool, while very big and nice, is an outdoor pool. It was chilly in September. You have to pay extra to park next to the hotel. $20 per night for self park. The hotel was still in the process of a remodel. We would might try it again when they are finished. The base price of the hotel was good but when you have a family and add in the cost of breakfast and parking, then it rises.
I attended for a conference and could not find the conference location within the hotel. In addition, the parking is poor and it cost $20.00. The prices in the hotel restaurant were extremely expensive. Furthermore, I did not like having to get a temporary key to leave the hotel and eat at a downsized food court outside of the hotel. The conference room was extremely cold. The facilitator called maintenance two times.
Historic charm with great service
Everything! Loved this hotel!
We have stayed at many different hotels over the years and this was the absolute best place!! The staff was awesome - everyone was so friendly and made sure we were pleased with all accomadations. I would highly recommend this place, and already have, to family and friends. Looking forward to our next visit.
I would have to say the price of the rooms however we were so happy staying here. we could not complain!!
Very good gym.
No massage after walking all day.
Nice clean rooms with a lot space
Had to wait until about an hour for the room
Well arrived a bit under the weather ( ahumm) lalet staff took s under control and before I knew it..... In my room...room was appropriate to the price. Facilities were exceptional..... If I have any reason to be in town again..... I would love to stay again!!!
Very accommodating and profession staff
The history and architecture of the building along with the great service.
The price was too high in my opinion. But I think all hotel fares are outrageous.
Lack of late night room service
Location and hotel was very upscale and nice. Light show in ballroom was awesome!
Staff was extremely nice.
Took over an hour to get in to our room. A bit pricey since events were going on. Paid double the regular rate.
Very Clean with a very professiona staff. Great location!
From the moment you enter the hotel you feel welcome with a staff that was very accommodating from the parking to the check in to the wait staff and lounge servers. Would highly recommend future stays to anyone. The light/video shows projected onto the arched ceiling area in the lounge/entry was wonderful and entertaining as well as we relaxed in the lounge. Great ambiance/atmosphere
Room, lobby and staff
Internet was very slow which made working very tough
Beautiful property a short distance from all the main sights in STL. The former train station is a spectacular entryway to the hotel, complete with an incredible bar and light show set to music in the evenings - worth the price of admission alone!
The renovated train station us beautiful. The rooms are really nice. The mall connecting to the hotel and the variety of restaurants within walking distance is good. Not far away from most of the main attractions.
The parking situation is really bad. If you don't use the overpriced valet, you have to still pay $20 per day to self park and it's a really long walk from the lot to your room. Not convenient at all.
Beautiful historic lobby with amazing light show. New clean rooms with comfortable beds. Delicious food. Excellent service.
The walk to the room was a bit far.
We loved the preservation of the hotel. The architecture along with the added touches of today made staying at this hotel not just a stay--it was a place we wanted to actually dedicate our time.
There was some sort of live music playing all night nearby our room which made it hard to sleep.
We loved the architecture, the quality of the bed, and room facilities. The staff were friendly. The light show in huge Grand Hall was fantastic.
No WiFi connection in our room or Grand Hall. Signage to room was a little confusing initially and should be more clearly explained at check in.
