Everything about the Hotel Mazarin was exceptional from the staff, room, setting, breakfast and location. Couldn't fault anything and would highly recommend anyone to stay there if in New Orleans.
Loved everything. Friendly can do staff, cleanliness, comfort, location. Hot breakasg buffet is also excellent along with the staff.
Nothing - all good.
Great location Great hotel would stay here again.
The hotel is in the heart of historic New Orleans. It is conveniently located near the docks and the main Bourbon street.
Parking is a little bit expensive but it is downtown New Orleans so I was expecting it :)
The location and staff were amazing and very helpful....couldn't have asked for anything better!
I was impressed with how well the Hotel was maintained. I told my wife they must have a painter on staff full time. We came in at 11pm, and there he was painting the front door!
Friendly and helpful staff, Excellent wine bar. Complimentary breakfast including fresh fruit and eggs and bacon and toast. It is in the French Quarter close to everything.
Clean Comfortable Great staff Great level of service Luxurious Beautiful Can't rate this place enough!
Very nicely renovated hotel with a great staff. Could not have asked for a more polite staff. Perfect location and good room pricing including a really good real breakfast each morning. 50 feet from Bourbon Street.
Nothing not to like about the Mazarin.
Comfortable bed and good wifi. Really close to Bourbon St - this could be seen as a negative but it is fairly quiet for a hotel this close to the chaos. It is however only a short walk to the nicer areas including Frenchman St, the rest of the French Quarter and the river.
Staff were dismissive, uninterested and unfriendly. Rooms with 'limited view' literally means tiny window not that the view isn't very good! Room wasn't ready on checking in at 4:30pm, without an apology.
Everything. Our luggage didn't arrive with us so staff provided complimentary toiletries. All staff throughout our three night stay we're excellent. Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit salad in individual bowls, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, sausages, pastries, breads, grits. Staff went out of their way to provide anything else required. Fresh water/fruit punch available at all times in the beautiful court yard. We had a room on 4th floor which was large and beautifully renovated. Little noise filtered in from Bourbon St on the busy Saturday night, nothing that kept us awake. Location was amazing. Would definetly love to stay again.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful, from the door, the desk and the restaurant during breakfast. The breakfast was great and convenient. The hotel was quiet, totally silenced from nearby Bourban Street.
location and staff frendliness
single lift - though not a real issue
My husband and I loved the location of the hotel. it wasn't on Bourbon st. However we were walking distance . Our room had a balcony so we were able sit and enjoy the bourbon st madness from afar.
THE HOTEL DID HAVE A POOL on site and does not offer room service . Room had a small hint of mildew smell.
The environment, staff extremely helpful and excellent food.
To short of time for me and my family
I loved the look of the hotel from the outside to the inside. It is steps away from Bourbon St but just far enough down that the noise doesn't keep you up all night. The staff was very friendly. The bellhop, valet and another girl (I wish I got her name) in particular. They were all very helpful on where to go and what to do. I have stayed in a couple of ritzy hotels and staff are not even close to what you get here.... you can tell they are just really good people.
Valet parking was a little high but I guess that's pretty typical for NOLA. I would valet again though next time we go!
from begining to end a wonderful experience. staff was great could not do enough for us. rooms were the best. breakfast on the patio was a great way to start the day. just can not say enough. can not wait to go back.
there was nothing i did not like.
Great breakfast, location, clean room.
Our room was almost in the next block, the next to last room in the building, Parking overpriced. small room for $250.00
-Location -Room size and very clean -staff very friendly -nice courtyard -walking distance to pretty much everything
-walls a little thin -could hear people talking in the courtyard in the evening
I would highly recommend this hotel. The location in the French Quarter was walking distance to everything and the free full service breakfast in the courtyard was a nice perk.
The room was excellent - very clean and a super comfy bed Location was very convenient in the French Quarter Hotel staff were very professional but friendly
No complaints - all good
Location , staff , 21st amendment bar was excellent with some fantastic live music
Beautifully decorated with the French Cardinal Mazarin theme of rich colors and oil paintings. Clean cool black marble look tiles in room and relaxed but orderly inner courtyards
The pillows were too dense
If the French Quarter is where you want to roam, Hotel Mazarin is a great temporary home. It is just a short walk from all the action and excitement, yet it in the evening, while most joints are still jumping, Hotel Mazarin offers welcoming courtyards and peaceful sleep. Our room access was from an exterior walkway that overlooked a private courtyard. We were impressed with the security measures of the location which were reasonable and reassuring without being intrusive. We like the tile floors that were always clean. After a long day and a warm shower, it was nice to wrap up in the bathrobes provided. The hotel provided bottled water at no charge, and even a full-sized umbrella - invaluable during hurricane season! The staff were all so friendly and pleasant, from the bellboy to the breakfast wait staff to the gal who cleaned our room. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We indulged daily and found ourselves nourished enough to walk all over nola before having to eat again late afternoon. When we decided to venture further, the concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I don't know that there was free Wi-Fi; I recall having difficulty accessing it. The tv was hard to figure out, and there were no free movies. I did not like having to traverse a staircase daily just to get to our room. There was no elevator access to our particular balcony/hallway, and we were not informed of this in advance. My husband has had two knee surgeries, and I am in physical therapy for my knee issues. This was an extreme disappointment, and I still feel that we should have been given advance notice of this more than minor "inconvenience" to decide whether it was acceptable in advance or not.
