Location. The Inn is in a quiet location of the French Quarter but not so far from any of the attractions that New Orleans has to offer, even if you want to cross Canal Street and go the Museum District. Everything is within leisurely walking distance....that is if you like walking which we do. Housekeeping: Fresh linens and cleaning everyday, which we appreciated. Bed: Lovely firm beds - after long days out and about it was lovely to come back to a comfortable bed with freshly laundered sheets! Keurig coffee maker: Loved it - plan to buy one now. Staff: Friendly and informative at all times

Wifi: The poor quality of the wifi was frustrating and if not fixed would be a factor in deciding whether to return. Management needs to understand that wifi is no longer an optional extra but is a necessity,as the majority of patrons will be communicating this way, in order to keep costs down. It is absolutely necessary for a hotel to provide a reliable wifi service to its customers, preferably at no extra cost. No fridge:Would also like to see a small fridge in the room; as the rooms are small, management may want to consider removing some unnecessary furniture ( e.g remove coffee stand and put fridge in that space and coffee maker on top)

The staff was excellent, and really accommodated my five-year-old son. Every request we had was instantly addressed. To be honest, I was a little nervous about staying a whole week in a hotel I'd never seen, on top of coming to town rather late on the first day (if there had been a problem, we would have had a hard time changing hotels), so I was really relieved to find such a clean, cool room in addition to super-friendly and helpful staff. Thank you so much, it made our trip so memorable! We will definitely stay here again!

The only complaint I can possibly think of was that we didn't always get the correct number of towels replaced. But if we needed anything, it was instantly provided for us. After a week's stay, if that's the only thing I can think of, this hotel has done a fantastic job!

Some staff were very friendly and courteous. Some were rude and non-communicative. Location was great, walking distance to a lot of sights.

Bags weren't taken up the flight of stairs to our room; we were told we had to carry our own. We should have been notified about this in advance. When we asked if there were any options, we were told that there were none at all, without furtehr explanation. Room phone wasn't working for our entire 5 day stay. Internet signal was very weak and worked intermittently. On 3 days, we had to ask the desk for towels. Balcony hanging baskets were bare, unlike all other balconies in the area. No space in the bathroom for toiletries - a little floor shelf would have sufficed. A little handout and map of all the close-by facilities and attractions would have helped us tremendously, but none was provided.

Good location and friendly helpful staff. Nice public balcony available for use.

Cramped bathroom and room was smaller than it appeared on the website. Courtyard is not particularly attractive. Property is situated across the road from a very noisy bar which was open into the very early hours during the weekend. Room 1 is also very noisy as the window looks directly onto the busy street.

Location and staff were genuinely nice and helpful. May not be to everyone's taste as were quite loud but that's typical new Orleans character!!

    WiFi dropped in and out

Location and proximity to the best parts of the quarter without being in the middle of the fray. The staff were friendly, competent and knowledgeable.

Wifi did not work in the rooms, despite the hotel description saying it was available throughout.

Location is terrific. In the French Quarter, a few minutes from Bourbon Street and other attractions, but far enough away to be quiet. The place had 'character'.

We had a ground floor room which meant that the shutters were always closed. An upper floor room with balcony would have been better and if people are considering this accommodation, they really should splash out a bit more and get one!

We generally enjoyed the stay in this historic property. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfy. Several times during our week stay the 24 hour front desk employee was no where to be found, did not answer the phone or left a sign in the lobby window saying "gone for 15 minutes". We asked for a room on the first floor and off a courtyard so we did not have to climb stairs. The folks at the Inn did grant this request. We were in room 4. Several nights we had rowdy guests above us. Due to the age and construction of the Inn you will hear your neighbors. We realize that the Inn cannot control the street night noise BUT be advised that the street noise will keep you awake all night SO bring earplugs. Earplugs worked for the wife and me. We could here the conversations through the walls, carried on at the front desk. One night an Inn patron VERY LOUDLY and PROFANELY attacked the front desk person about the street noise. So bring your earplugs! We have stayed several times in other sections of da 1/4 and staying at the Inn on St. Peter let us discover more of this neighborhood during our walks about. There is a small grocery store that sells the basics, and po boys, 3 blocks up Burgundy which was very handy. Very handy. This Inn is close to much on da 1/4 but there are many taxis about if you care not to walk too much. As in any metropolis be aware of the street action as there are unsavory people in and about this neighborhood. All in all the Inn on St. Peter will give you a flavor of living in the French Quarter.

Old french-look alike hotel, interior in the room. Location is pretty well and you can enjoy the balcony and have breakfast on that balcony.

There is a bar just opposite the hotel, it was very noisy as the bar closes when the last customer leaves. And it is close to 5 or 6 a.m.! The hotel looks rather old, wi-fi was not good, sometimes you couldn't connect to the internet.

What a fantastic hotel. It was more like having your own apartment in the centre of the French Quarter. Received a welcome email a week before giving essential information, like cost of travel from airport. The staff are really friendly. It was also blissfully quiet. The room was superbly well appointed. This is probably the BEST hotel I have ever stayed in. Worth every penny.
