While looking for a hotel close or in NYC for the holiday weekend with children, the pool was a necessity and the close proximity to the train station worked out perfectly. We will return to this place often.
Staff was always very helpful, location was good for access to train station.
not many drink choices at bar, only one choice for flavored martini.
The peace and quiet
Breakfasts were good & service friendly.
They didn't change the bed linen until asked on the 4th day - their policy states after 3 days. At these prices guests shouldn't have to ask. Room not that clean, bathroom was.
I thought it was ridiculous to charge $20 a night for parking (which I wasn't told until I checked in) also a "$100 incidental fee" which I also was not told about until after checking it. I thought it was very unprofessional and ridiculous not to tell people about this fees prior to booking a room.
The access to NYC via Metro North was very convenient . Hotel shuttle service was flawless, texting ahead ensured the van was waiting for us. Front desk staff very helpful with my requests for local attractions . Even when not on duty, Chelsea helped us out with dining options, for my teenage daughters. Not always an easy request.
Only issue was with garage exiting key . This was quickly resolved by the front desk staff.
Bar Dining and Breakfast Dining was tasty with excellent
Loud A/C, and downward air flow onto beds
Helen in northern lights bar. Easy access to parking garage.
In town for hockey tournament with my 9 yo son. Staff was not friendly nor quite helpful. Breakfast is a disaster.long line to get in hostess also sets table and both days managers were complaining not enough staff...and nothing they can do. Ask for location and mass schedule for a Catholic church Sunday morning and no one knew where one was..they asked me to Google it. Stood by concierge and valet desk for eternity only one in line but the man never looked up from his computer to ask me if I needed help. Even the small store had an awful urgency to serve.
It enjoyed staying there. It was a very good experience. Would definitely stay there again.
Needed more towels in the room. No late check out. That kinda sucked a lil.
housekeeping staff - helpful
Person or persons answering "At your Sevice" calls - very rude and obnoxious. Room amenities & facilities - meager and poor in quality. Rooms dusty. Noisy neighbours screeming into the early hours of the morning & hotel staff not doing anything about it. Frankly the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, almost as if Marriott doesn't understand the hotel business.
Everything about it was amazing. It was very beautiful.
All of the times we have been there and checked in not only has there been a receptionist, but there has always been a manager right there to be certain all went well.
The staff was excellent....very friendly, but professional and very informative when we had questions. They promptly took care of our needs.
The heat in our room didn't work and we had to change rooms late in the evening. The second room and bathroom were much smaller and the bed should have been put in the dumpster long ago. Really disappointed by the second room and having to switch.
All Things except
…TV didn't work but was repaired upon request
The spa was absolutely wonderful!!!!!! Kudos to the two women who did our couples massage. We will be back! We both felt wonderful.
A covered place to smoke would have been nice.
I liked mostly everything. The substantial breakfast each am, the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members, the comfortable beds. I liked how the tile went part of the way into the room and ended by the closet so that u cld take your shoes off without trucking dirt from outside onto the carpet. I really like the water pressure and the fact there were two shower heads -bonus!!
wasn't really anywhere to eat in hotel for lunch that was budget friendly but across the street there were quite a few affordable restaurants. I wish there had been a pharmacy within walking distance.
