The staff was great and although there wasn't a restaurant on the property , the bar served food and it was very good ! Also the fitness center had a good selection of workout equipment. Our room was very comfortable and clean.
Location Room size Comfortable bed
Air con a bit noisy Shower weak Decor a bit tired
The full package
Very good location, excellent stuff, very nice and clean room, good wifi.
Just a little bit of noise from the cable cars outside. If you want to sleep longer in the morning, the noise my prevent you from it. Breakfast was in the means of buying tea, sandwiches etc. downstairs like in a little take away style. Missing the classic hotel breakfast.
Fantastic hotel. Great location and amazing view of SF business center with skyscrapers. Right one block from Chinatown and right next to light railway
Price could be lower, but this is my opinion for the room for one person,
for the money I expect more. Room was noisy and basic for what we paid.
Nothing actually left and went to a different hotel
Good meals tho expensive. Good location.
Location Cleanliness Space of room
at check out the young lady at reception was less than helpful. everyone else was exceptional.
Nice location, nice personnel, quiet hotel.
Breakfast is not to recommend, very expensive for what it is.
Lack of a restuarant at the hotel
We loved our room ..staff very helpful
Not as central to restaurants as I would have liked but close to public transport
Good view and could walk to many places.
Very noisy. Thin windows.
Excellent location. Close to China Town and Union Square. Trolley cars stop nearby.
Very noisy. Had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Everything was old, so a few outlets didn't work, shower was very short and had very little water pressure. Counter tops were sticky, and a few of the towels had obviously been left from the previous guest because they were still wet. No in-room services. Elevators were out of service and there are no stairs leading to the lobby.
A little old world class on Nob Hill. Just a cable car ride to Fisherman's Wharf, The Marina, Lombard Street & Union Square. And oh... the beds are so soft!!
Comfortable beds and clean hotel
Dirty hall carpet (Yellow) and the ambience of the hotel bar/restaurant was not very comfortable or inviting.
We were upgraded to a corner suite on the top floor. Lovely views and very comfortable
No restuarant as such. They didn't even serve cuppaccino's We used the coffee shop over the road belonging to the Fairmont for very reasonable breakfasts and coffee.
Location and hotel were excellent no complaints, I would recommend to stay here for anyone visiting San Francisco
Expensive to park you car
The room was comfortable & quiet
The price was high compared with value. I stayed in better rooms in USA for 2/3 to 1/2 the price.
Location was great for cable cars ( which we had unlimited trave on with city pass) had gd view of skyline.Fridge in room and good free wifi
Didn't feel it was value for money, came on recommendation but feel we might have got more at a Chain hotel, no pool, breakfast or any little extras. Room ok but not huge. Car parking expensive .... But inline with everywhere else
nice and clean fairly large rooms if a bit soulless
noise from the cable cars can be heard inside the doors, so open windows at night aren't an option bed wasn't very comfortable: mattress cover and sheets were not fixed properly and moved into a heap during the night
I have always liked the location; next to the Mark Hopkins and across from The Fairmont. Staff was friendly. Our original room had not been cleaned when we entered it so we were given a corner room on a higher floor with great views. Staff was friendly.
We have stayed at The Stanford Court many times over the last 20 years and were unaware it had become independent. The new theme seems to be "Twitter meets Apple" geared to a 25-35 year old crowd. The entry and elevator rugs read "#HELLO" and "LIVE@THE LOFT" and lobby pillows "Ctrl", "Alt" and "Del". The staff uniform is now Levi's with a checked shirt, no name tag (just a small lapel pin on the collar). When we arrived and a gentleman dressed like this started taking our luggage from the vehicle, I had no idea he worked for the hotel; I thought he was a clever thief. Some staff like the new dress code, others expressed that they do not. Although the room was nice, we had to ask for robes to be brought up. There used to be "white noise" switches for the rooms which helped to block out sounds like trolley cars and sirens while trying to sleep, but they have since been removed. Thankfully we always travel with earplugs! Dining options at the hotel have also become limited. We're sorry such a charming hotel has lost it's charm. Modernizing and providing tech touches is fine, but the bad changes have outweighed the good for us.
My room was quiet, huge & clean. Bed was super comfortable. Staff bio's on ipads in the reception area were great. Gave me insight as to what local people loved doing around the city, i liked this idea a lot!
