Seemed a bit expensive but that's what you get in SFO.
Staff, room, restaurant food, bed.
We were guaranteed (and paid for) a room with a view at booking, two days in advance and the day of. Upon arrival we were placed on the second floor. The front desk said no other rooms were available and they would not accommodate us in any way.
The comfortable bed and size of the room was perfect.
Some hair in bathroom when I arrived, but overall cleanliness was fine. Breakfast overpriced, you can have the same for less elsewhere. It's a steep climb from union square if you walk, but a short one.
The room was fine, except that there was no real closet, just a hanger for shirts. The bed was comfortable. WIFI worked fine. Breakfast OK, but overpriced. Staff was helpful and nice. Location convenient for Union Square, Chinatown, But take into account it's uphill from Union Square.
San francisco is expensive to stay no matter where you go. This place was a very lovely hotel and so comfortable. Close to China town and union square. I enjoyed my time here!
Great comfy beds with pillow menu. Staff super helpful. Despite late late check-in, pleasant staff
trolley's were loud at times
don't stay in room with street view, the cable car bill will not make you sleep before 12 AM
location, big room , iron , safety box , view, free wifi
The late 4pm check-in and arriving too early and having to wait for any available room
The staff were great and even upgraded our room to the top floor after a terrible flight, and were so helpful with directions and getting to know the city
It's not convenient to downtown.
Comfortable room, ample space, beautiful view.
Every thing fine
Perfect for getting around the city
Although we were on the 9th floor, it was quite noisy outside. Perhaps it's about time to invest on double glazing!!
The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic.
The hotel was in a fabulous location and the staff were wonderful
Check In was quick and easy. Hotel offered luggage storage while our room was made. They called us when our room was ready. Complimentary WiFi and great connection. Room had a safe, fridge, coffee maker & nice large flat screen tv. Hotel was in a great location, right on the Street Car line. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was large with all the amenities required. Computers and printer available in lobby with internet to check in with airline and print boarding passes. Nice restaurant and bar on premises. Had a hotel driver transport us to SFO for a $50 flat fee.
Hallway carpet on 3rd floor needed cleaning. It was very dingy and the pattern was oh-so dated looking. There should have been a mirror in the bedroom.
The views from our bedroom, #353 were spectacular. The front desk recommended this room because of it's size and the three large windows & we were very appreciative. Courtyard parking was very handy for personal & Uber car pick-ups.
Modern decor. Nice room. Friendly staff.
Friendly staff close to shopping and theaters
I was surprised that there was no room service, restaurant or gift shop to get small sundries.
Location at the hill top. Kinda tired if u walk.
The friendly welcoming staff and nice welcome gift. Clean neat room. Great location.
Waking distance from desired destinations
Checkin was difficult without creditcard, but that is to be expected in a US hotel.
The hotel is comfortable, stylish and has big rooms. VERY comfortable beds
There was an overall lack of amenities, particularly given the room price. We had no clock in our room and no bedside lamps, and after asking at the desk and with housekeeping we gave up asking! The lack of a place to get a light lunch or even a beer in the afternoon seemed really inconsistent with a four star hotel. On a smaller scale, when we used glasses in our room they were not teplaced by housekeeping- and we were there for 4 nights! Overall the hotel is in a great location with a view and history behind it, but is in need of significant updating in the rooms and attention to detail for the guests.
The location was perfect- it is easy to walk and/or ride almost anywhere in San Francisco from Nob Hill, and a quiet location to come back to after a busy day. The restaurant in the lobby provided a nice, easy place for breakfast but it was a real inconvenience that it is not open at lunch time or before 5 in the afternoon. We also appreciated the room size.
No restaurant or room service.
