Lack of a restuarant at the hotel
We loved our room ..staff very helpful
Not as central to restaurants as I would have liked but close to public transport
Good view and could walk to many places.
Very noisy. Thin windows.
A little old world class on Nob Hill. Just a cable car ride to Fisherman's Wharf, The Marina, Lombard Street & Union Square. And oh... the beds are so soft!!
Comfortable beds and clean hotel
Dirty hall carpet (Yellow) and the ambience of the hotel bar/restaurant was not very comfortable or inviting.
The room was comfortable & quiet
The price was high compared with value. I stayed in better rooms in USA for 2/3 to 1/2 the price.
Location was great for cable cars ( which we had unlimited trave on with city pass) had gd view of skyline.Fridge in room and good free wifi
Didn't feel it was value for money, came on recommendation but feel we might have got more at a Chain hotel, no pool, breakfast or any little extras. Room ok but not huge. Car parking expensive .... But inline with everywhere else
nice and clean fairly large rooms if a bit soulless
noise from the cable cars can be heard inside the doors, so open windows at night aren't an option bed wasn't very comfortable: mattress cover and sheets were not fixed properly and moved into a heap during the night
My room was quiet, huge & clean. Bed was super comfortable. Staff bio's on ipads in the reception area were great. Gave me insight as to what local people loved doing around the city, i liked this idea a lot!
Nice location atop Nob Hill, convenient to cable car lines, Union Square and Fishermans Wharf.Clean room and Pleasant staff.
No closet storage. Tiny bathroom with basic tub/shower combination, barely adequate water pressure and low shower head. Sad to think this is considered luxury in SF.
We live in the Bay Area and attended two Train concerts down the street at the Nob Hill Masonic Center. The Stanford Court was the perfect spot to stay. Nice and close to the venue and close to restaurants and a short distance to Union Square. The hotel was spotless and the staff were very friendly and knew their job well. Excellent staff! Will definitely stay here in the future and recommend to our friends.
Check in and Bell staff were good.
The casual uniforms of staff make it difficult to know who you were dealing with. The lack of room service as well as the poor selections for the breakfast and long slow lines were a disappointment.
Very comfortable room and bed. Really nice staff.
Front bedrooms a little noisy from street (but they kindly accomodated us with a move to the rear of the building).
Beautiful hotel all around.
The hills to get to the hotel from Union Square if you are walking. Expected for SF.
Lovely area, good location very nice and professional staff. Nice décor, boutique Hotel feeling. Good amenities such as coffee maker, fridge.
Room was too tight, no view for value when compared to other hotels.
Friendly staff Comfy beds Hotel facilities Location
- handy location - modern hotel - friendly & helpful staff - spacious rooms
- no room service - on a steep hill not suitable for older people
Fantastic bed- so comfortable, slept like a baby. Value for money was also v good when I stayed considering the lovely location in Nob Hill.
No room service- crazy for a 4star hotel. I expressed my surprise to a number of staff members- not good when you're there on business, tired, and hungry! The housekeeping was also not really up to scratch- they pretty much made my bed but left everything else just scattered around. I always appreciate having things tidied up a bit on counters etc which they just didn't touch. Also strange bathroom set up with the rooms- to get to the toilet was quite a walk from the bed because the bathroom area is set up like a long thin corridor on the side of the room. First time I used the bell boys when I arrived they also took a good 20 mins to get my bags up to my room which left me a little concerned as to where they had been left. In fairness the bell boy did apologise once I complained, but still.
The mgmt. Changed our noisy second fl room to one on the 6th floor. Hooray !!
After booking the room well in advance we were given a room on the second floor next to the cable car turn around. Needless to say we were unable to sleep at all. Please request a room on an upper floor.
Really comfortable bed, large bathroom, good view. Staff was great, patient with a credit card issue we had. Bar serves good drinks.
No minibar and only one bottle of water - you have to buy them from reception
View, comfort of beds
lounge was very average
Great location. Fabulous confortable bed.
- Cable car noise that only stops at 12 night. - Expensive.
Excellent location, very comfortable room with high quality bedding. First class Wifi with plenty of public PC's for internet connections.
Expensive but that is the case everywhere in San Francisco. Would have expected breakfast to be included at the price I was paying.
