Front desk staff & location
Carpet, drapes, bed coverings way past overdue for replacement. Afraid to touch anything. There's a reason it was the last room available within a 20 mile radius of Mountain View.
Room had overpowering deodorizer that was nauseating. What were they masking? Checked in after long work day or I would have asked for a move
Not going to pretend this place is a hidden 5-star resort at a budget price, it isn't, but for what and where it is it's excellent. Friendly staff, good location, good wifi. Rooms are decorated rather like my Aunt Mildred (think lace) but at least someone's made an effort. It feels like home. Not /my/ home, but home nevertheless. Will stay here again.
The staff were very friendly. The coffee was excellent! The room was clean and the location is very central. Interesting if travelling to any tourist areas, you are going in the opposite direction of the traffic volume. This is a bonus.
Was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Bed was nice and big. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Everything was satisfactory
Room had dirty sticky carpet
artwork and location
small room & poor Wi-Fi
Very friendly staff. Close and convenient location. Room nice and clean.
Pillows way to large and hard. Bathroom antiquated.
On the street side traffic noise is really loud, the room smelled slightly sour
Location, friendly staff, clean comfortable room
Staff were very helpful. Room was of good quality, clean and well presented. Good base for just about anywhere near Palo Alto
I liked the size of the room and the fact that it had a large refrigerator and a very nice microwave oven. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.
The air conditioner was so noisy that I had to turn it off at night so I could sleep. It was too easy to hear other guests talking and moving around the facility.
Very, clean, safe and comfortable.
+ nice and clean room + nice staff
- way too expensive, but this is mostly a "pecularity" of the whole area
It's a tired old motel. One should be able to do better. Try to avoid tripping over the ledge in the doorway to the office.
Location Price Staff Cleanliness
Small room Microwave, Coffee Maker, etc... crammed into makeshift space.
Location was convenient. Fairly clean. Served the purpose of a (somewhat) affordable place that was clean and comfortable enough. Huge bed.
The door to the room was very difficult to open and I had to slam my body against it to open/close it. The deadbolt didn't lock either, but there was an added lock at least or I would have asked for another room.
Rooms got cleaned and made up everyday for the most part. quiet and clean parking lot off the street.
Kitchen so small it was unusable. and a little out dated. beds where made up very quickly had some of our pillows still between the sheets.
Cleanness, comfort, nice knowledgeable staff
Loved the Hotel Manager Location close enough to Stanford
Staff Bed Quiet Close to Restaurants
Palo Alto is a pretty OK city. The parking is convenient. Am I at 200 yet? Let's add one unnecessarily long word to be absolutely sure. Indefatigable.
My toilet overflowed, and the guy at the front desk soundly slept through my phone call when I let it ring until it switched to the beeping tone. I had to wander barefoot in the street looking for ways to unclog my poopy toilet until 4:30 or so, when I could finally raise the guy. He gave me a plunger. I hadn't noticed, but the old toilets here drain straight down, which resulted in my plunging in the wrong spot (towards the back) for way too long, spilling more poopy water all over the floor. When I complained in the morning and asked for that night to be comped, they would only let me cut short my stay by a night. Avoid.
Excelllent location, great service and advice from the owner. A place to recommend in the Stanford / Silicon Valley area
WIFI worked very well. Bed was good. Room was very clean and had been updated with natural stone. The air conditioning worked quite well.
The exterior could use some attention.
Staff Cost Proximity to town and good food
