Nice hotel for the price and ideal location for Penn station to get to and from airport and subway station at the end of the street.twin room warm an comfortable all the amenities you will need.
Breakfast could be better it's OK you need a better choice.
Close to shopping areas, metro and city center.
Korea town there are a lot of restaurant and also garbages in the road. A little dirty street...:(
The location is in the heart of the action, just off Herald Square, so very convenient for everything the city has to offer.
The hotel is very jaded and that includes a lot of the staff who are mainly Korean (this being west 32nd Street, Korea Way). The overall effect is tired and we had a 6th floor room and I spent a great deal of time waiting for the inadequate elevator. We also didn't get the rooms we asked for (booking.com) and the front desk would not rectify this. We visit NYC regularly and in the past I have always booked our hotel. On this occasion my wife booked it as she thought it looked ok and good value. It was neither, in my opinion it had the facilities more akin to a hostel, try the breakfast 'facilities'. My most annoying experience? Going to their cocktail bar on Christmas Day to ask for 4 champagne glasses for our room. My request was met with incredulity from the barman "What? You want us to LEND you glasses? We don't do that!" I have made this request in many hotels in NYC and around the world and never experienced this before. We had a great Christmas in New York though, despite the hotel.
Location. Friendly staff.
Breakfast very basic.
Location was good, near everything we needed to get to and the price was good, bathroom was nice.
Beds were small and low quality pillows, and terrible temperature control with thermostat. Room got hot, and AC did not work. Slept in 80 degree room and hotels way of fixing was opening the window all day to cool down room for second night, except the exact same thing happened again. Got almost zero sleep while here sweating the entire time.
- Toplage, nähe PennStation, Broadway und Empire State Building.
- Frühstück nicht so toll, aber da ist man in Deutschland verwöhnt
Location Clean Comfortable
Breakfast really weak
THe breakfast and the timing.
Great location comfortable beds
breakfast is regular, pathetic
Quite big room, good location. Therefore we plan to return to this hotel again already tomorrow instead going to other place.
Breakfast is really really poor! Have not try this for many years! For more than 100$ per night! either hotel should not offer anything! Because people have expectations, or just spend a few $ more make it better! And No drinking water or coffee/tea making option at all. It will be a puls.
Lounge on second floor, for waiting until the room is ready on check-in. Business center for printing documents and other amenities. Bed was extremely comfortable. Location was just perfect, next to the Empire State Building with lots of eateries, stores and the metro close by. Staff was generally friendly and professional. Got a corner room on the 11th floor, very quiet. Great window view. Breakfast was OK, nothing special but acceptable - especially if you don't have time/money to go a proper breakfast place.
Elevator took forever and doesn't feel very sturdy. It can be a little cold inside the room, even if the heater is set to maximum. Bathroom and room door close automatically - which can be a pain if you are moving luggage, etc. need to put some stopper somehow. Wi-Fi was a pain to use. Need a code from the front desk, keeps logging you out every 6 hours (have to relogin with same code) and is extremely slow. Works for email, etc. but forget skype, attachments and so on. Lobby looks a little shabby, cables running bare on walls, etc.
Room and bathroom good sized. Very comfy bed. Fast free wifi. Location extremely good. Free coffee etc at 2nd floor lounge was nice. Good breakfast coffee and juice with no added sugar (the breakfast itself was mainly bagels).
Did not feel breakfast and facilities were adequate we ate out
The staff especially the porters were excellent. The location was fabulous for shopping,Penn Station and the Port Authority. There is a metro stop on the corner and plenty of close by eating places. Would recommend if you like access to shops. Metro is on corner.
The fact that I could not borrow scissors for use without a security guard to watch me use them. It is a world gone mad when that it a "health and safety policy".
Location was excellent. Room was a good size and it was great to have a useable fridge, microwave etc in your room.
At no real fault of the premises, however due to the time of the year, breakfast which was part of the package was a waste of time. Eating standing up or wait in excessively long lines. We decided to eat out. Further, lifts are very small and could not manage the number of residents. As a result on occasions having to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a lift.
- Friendly and helpful staff - Good cleaning - Central
- Freezing cold bathroom. The bathroom window was leaking cold air. - Breakfast was lousy.
The larger rooms are awesome Access to great eating places (Speedys, The Harald...) and districts
The bread and pastry breakfast lets the hotel down, even if it is complimentary!
+ Good Location. + All staff except the Reception staff was very nice. + The free "high speed" internet was 0,512 Mbit/sec, not what I would call high speed. - Subway station 50 m from the lobby.
- The room was too warm and when I talked with the reception they said that "a Technician" is going to have a look, but next night same problem and the next. And when I wanted a compensation the only thing I got was a shrug and a smile. - I would only recommend this Hotel for the ones that don´t mind really hot Hotel rooms with no oxygen and don´t mind to be treated bad and get lied too. - The beds are really worn down, it´s like a cradle in the middle.
Comfort of rooms, cleanliness exceptional, staff most helpful, hospitality exceptional. Free hot drinks at specified times. Location perfect.
Everything was great, shower a little temperamental at times with temperature, lift a little slow but both well below any need to comment negatively.
We stayed there on New Year's holidays and it was very cold in the room, the heater didn't help. The room itself was very small, it didn't meet our expectations based on the room's photos. The free Wi-Fi speed was slow,so they want you to pay for the normal Internet access. Stingy breakfast with yesterday's cookies. General feedback - the overpriced hotel for that kind of service quality.
even if they are clean, the room are quite old and need to be renewed, the breakfast was very little and given in a very small place so it happened to wait quite long time before being able to sit.
A great location for Times Square shopping and theater, walking distance or quick cab. Subway stop is 50 feet away. The room was NY-small, but clean with newer furniture and bedding. No BBs, yeah!!!
All the common areas are cramped and unkempt or dirty, like the hallway carpets. Could hear through the walls. Price was too high when all you're getting is location. Unless others in same price range are full, suggest you try other places in same neighborhood.
