Club Quarters in Washington DC is a new concept for the hotel industry. This private, full service hotel overlooks Farragut Square, and is 2 blocks north of the White House, and near Lafayette Square....
Score from 764 reviews Very good
Location, quiet and comfortable room, good size and adequate kitchenette.
Suite was spacious, well laid out and clean. Kitchen had good facilities and was also tidied daily by hotel staff. Restaurant was good with reasonable priced menu.
The hotel is split into two buildings and I was in the second building so had to walk through the garage to reach it. Would have been nice to have had a little more light in the bedroom. There was only a bedside lamp which meant that wardrobe area was dark, not easy to see inside.
Loved the location with an easy walk to the Mall and Metro. It was great having a kitchen. I made breakfast every morning before we went out.
We ate at the restaraunt once for breakfast and thought the it could be better. Everyone's eggs were overcooked. Could use better lighting in the bathroom and dressing room.
Size of room was great!
location, large room with kitchen, more like a studio than an hotel room
no gym facilities
Very well located to attractions and staff was extrememely friendly
Staff was SUPER! They were always smiling, asking how they could help and everyone made eye contact with us. Accommodations were clean, comfy, and classy. Location close to MANY DC attractions, and Metro. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!
The only thing I can think of is a comment I saw others made as well... that is it would have been nice to have had a microwave, not all that much use for a stove top... in my opinion... otherwise awesome. Thanks!!
What a great hotel, close to the city centre and with friendly and helpful staff. Our Junior suite included a nice bathroom, separate kitchen area and two queen doubles. There is on site fast wi-fi and a small computer room with printing. All in all a great place to stay and certainly value for money.
Location, Beds, Clean, Kitchen, Staff.
staff, location, comfort
Wi-Fi, supplies in kitchen were sparse
Loved the kitchen, wish I'd had more reason to use it. Room was lovely and set up perfectly. I thought this was a GREAT value.
very friendly. And a great apartment with all you (I) need
bed was very comfortable, staff was very pleasant, location was only a few blocks from the national mall. kithenette.
only 1 duplex outlet in kitchen, no frying spatula, no salt & pepper, no towels in kitchen, paper or cloth
kitchen was outdated
Location to GWU Great staff! Good value!
No microwave, old bathroom and kitchen. Limited restaurant.
Walking distance from the main tourist sites and also metro close by. Very spacious with a well equipped separate kitchen and also a dressing room between the bedroom and bathroom . Understand this was previously an apartment building.
Great location, large room and kitchen. Very quiet in the South bldg. Frette linens a nice touch.
expensive valet parking
We loved how close the hotel was to the Lincoln Monument and White House. Since it was near the University it was also very quiet which was nice. The hotel was only about 6 blocks from the Subway which made an easy trip to and from the airport and other parts of town. Many great restaurants in the area without having to fight crowds near the White House and Chinatown.
The only drawback was that we had inconsistency with when our room was cleaned. This caused an issue when we wanted to go back to the room to relax and eat one day and we were rushed out because the woman who was cleaning our room that day was leaving in 30 minutes.
My wife and I recently spent three nights/four days at the State Plaza Hotel in Foggy Bottom, D.C. Start to finish, the hotel staff were most courteous, friendly, helpful, and responsive to our needs. We stayed in the newly renovated north tower building, and other than a couple of burnt out lamp bulbs which were remedied immediately, everything else was perfect. The kitchen unit had all the necessary dishwasher and utensils provided, leaving us only the need to stock in our own food and drinks. The hotel was very conveniently located, neighboring the George Washington University, and only very few minutes walk to the very efficient Metro train line (Foggy Bottom station). Immediately next to the hotel, was CVS (24hrs) which amply met our sundry needs. The Lincoln Memorial and other notable memorials at the west end of the Washington Mall also were in easy distance. My wife and I are already contemplating a return visit to D.C., and assuredly we look forward to booking in with our friends, the staff at the State Plaza Hotel. Our esteemed thanks to the wonderful staff, that ensured our visit was both successful and memorable.
Didn't like . . . . . having to depart so soon, following such a pleasant stay.
Huge room, very comfty beds, standing ovation for cleanliness, great WIFI connection, decoration was absolutely adorable, very close to memorials, a convinient store right beside the hotel, quiet rooms, kitchen facilities, I will stay here next time.
walk out the front door and you are only a few blocks from the Lincoln Memorial . Once on the steps of this treasure , look west and you see the Capital building ! Guess what ? You now have 2-3 days of visiting the National Mall laid out before you . Enjoy !
The rooms are in need of updating. If only the new carpet and the ability to rent a movie in your room .
Better internet access. It is too up and down in the rooms.
I like the location everything was so close to the hotel ,even the hotel is in GW university it was tranquil and paceful
The elevators were so slowly
