Club Quarters in Washington DC is a new concept for the hotel industry. This private, full service hotel overlooks Farragut Square, and is 2 blocks north of the White House, and near Lafayette Square....
Score from 870 reviews Excellent
Very good location, close to subway; good price for what it offers. Breakfast is not included but it's not very expensive and it's very good.
Location, staff assistance and attention to detail. Value for money.
Soundproofing was limited, could hear noises ( papers being dropped off at doors at 4 am, someone having a shower at 5). Rooms were dated particularly the bathrooms could use a total upgrade as well as kitchen.
- Spacious, clean and new - Great value for money - Superb location (in a walking distance to the Mall, Lincoln Memorial, etc.) - Great & safe neighborhood with CVS & Starbucks nearby - Helpful and friendly staff & housekeeper - Excellent kitchen with ample kitchenware - Fantastic bathroom Loved everything! The best accommodation theoughout the trip :)
Nothing! Everything was perfect.
Had a kitchen. Complementary bottle of water every day. Location was great as well (close to main attractions).
had to pay for parking (32USD) per day but I believe that is the case for most hotels around the area.
The location was fantastic. I was staying for a conference being held at the Convention Center, ~1.5 miles away, which serviced a shuttle to- and from- the hotel, so it was still convenient. It was a 10 minute walk to the National Mall, Vietnam, and Lincoln Memorials, as well as the Foggy Bottom Metro center. The view from the room was also very nice.
I had booked two queen beds for my travel-mate and I, but upon arrival, they didn't have that facility available and instead gave me a "complementary upgrade" to a suite with one king bed, a pull-out sofa bed, and a kitchen. The pull-out bed was unbelievably uncomfortable, and didn't have any sort of comforter to go over it. I called housekeeping to acquire a comforter, and they brought me 2 pillows.... they had no idea what a comforter was, and eventually brought some kind of spongy thermal blanket. Whatever. Pulled out the bed to find old cheetos and peanuts underneath. Thought I would have a cheap dinner so bought some soup from the conveniently-located CVS next door, but there was only a large pot and a skillet in the kitchen, and the bowls were so small I could only microwave half of the soup at a time. The water pressure out of the sinks was so low most of the time it was almost a drip, and the hot water was very inconsistent. Didn't make for a pleasant shower. My room was also right behind the housekeeping closet, so there was constant noise from people going in and out (all night), and something (the heaters?) would turn on and make a loud grinding sound at variable intervals. Overall, I was disappointed and felt I paid probably $100 more per night than I should have.
Very well run mature property. Hope to stay again.
Location- This hotel is located at the end of the Boston Public Gardens and a 5mins walk (with suitcases) to the Public Library to catch the bus to the airport.
Boston Convention Tax is added on top of normal Sales Tax Maintenance of the hotel- The bathroom was very tired looking (shower not attached to the wall, sink cracked etc)
Liked our free upgrade thankyou
The first room had water leaking from the heater unit. It caused wet carpeting and leak was right up next to the electric outlet mounted on the side of the heater. The second room could not control the temperature in the room. A fan was provided as a remedy. It required leaving the windows open all night. DC is a very noisy city. The room ran out of hot water a few times. The staff was unable to fix any shortcomings of the rooms. I would not stay there again.
Great location, Clean beds, Spacious room, bath and kitchen. Felt at home. wifi connection was good. Great place to stay in!
It is a pricey place, so a breakfast can be included in this price.
The room was quite spacious and very comfortable for an extended stay.
Very few restautrants in the near vicinity
Having a kitchen was great. We had some tickets to print and there was an office where we could do that which was a big help.
The wifi was spasmodic in our room, we were told it was to do with our phones' security settings but it was a bit frustrating.
size of room, shower, kitchen , huge bed and location
No air con as it had been turned off so it was too hot, however they did provide a fan. Lighting in the room could have been better too.
Location. I stay on the F street side and I am across the street from my daughters dorm and very close to all things GWU. Huge spacious rooms and closets. Real hair dryer. The bed! Comfy beyond words. Free internet.
There is absolutely nothing to complain about.
Breakfast is a bonus in NY hotels and the free coffee and juice in the bar during the day is good. Bar at night has a good atmosphere. Its only 15 minutes from Time Square so good location. Cleaning staff do a good job and the towels and bedding are very clean
Really does need updating as decoration in the rooms is shabby. The radiator cover in our room was broken as was the glass to the wardrobe door. Building works going on opposite meant drilling during the day but we were out for most of it
Location, location, location. Even though WiFi was slow some times, it was complimentary.
I had to keep fiddling with the shower to keep the temperature still, and pressure wasn't amazing when using the shower head. It was a bit warm in my room, but if I opened the windows, the noise from the ventilation system wouldn't let me sleep, maybe it was just my room.
Couldn't have found a better place to stay. Wish all our hotels could be like this one.
Restaurant waiter needs another profession.
Location is great, overall very good value for money. We had a state suite which was large, rather dated but very clean. Would stay there again
The room was very large including a big bedroom area, a preparation area off the bathroom and a lovely little kitchen with a table and two chairs, stove, fridge and microwave. The micro wave was not there upon arrival, but as soon as we asked it was delivered. Another big plus was that any request at all was answered and acted upon immediately.
The heating/cooling system is very old. You get either heating or cooling at a particular time of year, but not both. But, upon request staff came an opened windows and brought up a fan to help the situation. Done immediately!
Proximity to all monuments. Self catering facilities. Space - had nice spacious bedroom and spacious separate lounge.
Very little if anything could be criticised. Enjoyed our stay at State Plaza.
very friendly staff. nice kitchen. cvs next door opens 24hrs and pretty much have everything.
have to go up stairs for elevator.
Close proximity to many sites and locations within easy walking distance. Staff was extremely helpful in many ways.
Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks close to hotel are closed on weekends.
Big room, old hotel totally renewed, good bathroom, good staff..free wifi location..
I think the support guy blocked all routers ports and only opened that one his iPhone uses..I have and Android phone (not a cheap one Apple fanboys) and I couldn't connect to google play, facebook and so on..
Close to Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument and other memorials which are in between. Big and clean rooms although the hotel is pretty old. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very uncomfortable bed. Loud air conditioning/ventilation machine outside of the building which was disturbing even with closed windows.
although hotel was not full they did not accept late check out without charging for half of day
