Everything was horrible, no hot water or heat cover on bed was dirty, bathroom was dirty it was horrible
it was conveniently located to the event I was attending
It was very close to where we needed to be. The room seemed pretty clean, but I didn't really have that great of a look. I mainly went for my event and got drunk and passed out for the night. It did have security as promised and everything was good for the neighborhood. I would recommend it if you want something cheap and reasonable for being cheap. It appeared very safe and clean. That is all I needed and that is all I got.
If you are expecting a great value, maybe this is what I payed for. I would say the biggest downfall is that if you actually plan on spending time in your room this is a pretty bad room for that. If you plan on being out and about visiting Detroit and rarely in the hotel, it's actually very convenient.
Booking through booking.com was not recognized and we where told in a very rude manner to deal with booking.com ourselves since they belive booking.com is a third party the hotel has nothing to do with it.
Whith whatever request I had, i.e. remote control for TV, clean towels, they were quick to accomodate.
There were no hangers in the room. If I hadn't brought some, I would've been out of luck.
Staff was not helpful and declined to call taxi. Neighborhood was awful and taxi drivers told that it is not safe to go out after dark.
Close enough to downtown
Air conditioner not working 84 degrees in our room at 2 in the morning.no response from office we packed up at 5 am.We were on 3rd floor hole in wall were another air conditioner was covered up with cardboard 1 towel in bathroom. Didn't go to pool but sign said open 5 to 10 don't book it
Only available place to stay at. That was good.
I understood why it was the only available place to stay at when I opened the door to the room.
This place was a disaster. Seems like A LOT of illegal activities go on here from drugs, to many others. This is not somewhere to stay if you are traveling or visiting here. We walked in the room and within 5 minutes we checked out. I grew up in the South Bronx so I know a thing or two about low end motels and this was the worst I have ever stayed at. In a very rough neighborhood in Detroit and all we saw people outside screaming, making noise, playing music at ridiculous levels, smell of cigarettes and marijuana. I don't like to hurt business by leaving bad reviews but this has to be said so someone doesnt get hurt or put in danger by going here. As mentioned, I grew up in one of the worst neighborhoods in New York City and I still did not feel safe to stay here more than 5 minutes. The walls and doors were so thin that someone could easily kick the door in at night, I could hear all sorts of fighting and yelling in the rooms and hallways. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I AM MORE CONCERN THAT BOOKING.COM WOULD ASSOCIATE ITSELF WITH A HOTEL LIKE THIS. THIS IS MORE OF A HALFWAY HOUSE FOR RECOVERING ADDICTS NOT FOR FAMILY OR BUSINESS STAY.
Price was good and the location was good for area to local BallParks, Football Fields, and Casinos..
The first room..The Door Lock did not work and we were moved to another room where the lock did not function 100%, but was better than the first..Just a little uncomfortable sleeping when your not sure if the lock works correctly on the door..We put the Chair in front of the door to increase security..
Pretty much everything!
The hotel had good location and had a parking lot free in front of the building
The receptionist was eating when I arrived, seeming dirty...the room is quite old...smelling smoke (though is prohibited)...there isn't a window that can bee opened in the room...the bathroom has some stains in the wall and ceiling...
The worst place ever. Arrived at 2 am and they had cancelled my rooms. Gave us 2 rooms in the dungeon. Stains on sheets. Ceiling falling in! Floor soaked almost fell. Shower was dirty! Left the next morning. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Sketchy location, horrible smell, mold, filthy nasty dirty room with cigarette burns everywhere. This place was awful, we slept on plastic shower curtains I bought from the dollar store. we had no choice but to stay after we paid but I would run from here if I had any choice. I'm surprised we didn't get sick it was so moldy and dirty. Booking.com I'm very disappointed you would use this property.
The staff was good and the security guard at night was comforting.
Leaking toilet, water leaking in the hallway making floors very slippery, clogged sink, very small rooms, no coffee maker or hair dryer.
this was by far the worse hotel i have ever stayed at. bad area, holes in walls, doors didnt lock properly, room was for 4 people only had one towl was told had to pay 3 dollars a towl if we wanted more. will deffenitly not choose to stay at another one of these locations
Not a damn thing!!
First off the room was musty, no Wi-Fi, wall outlets didn't work. That's the first room. Second room, the bathtub was old and grimy. The paint was coming off. Brown and rusty on the inside of the tub. No air. Third room the receptionist called herself giving me an upgrade. Whatever. I couldn't WAIT till morning to leave. I tried to get my money back and the receptionist told that when I came in, I had a ten minute window to tell them that I didn't want to stay there. They don't tell you that. All in all it was horrible. I don't know what the hell Devonte was talking about. Must not be a real person. Probably somebody from the hotel that works posing as a guest. But I promise you. You'd wish you went somewhere else...Real talk. They need to shut that place down.
Place is super filthy, from bathroom, to bed linens and overall appearance of the facility.
The staff was friendly.
*Nasty ring around the tub. *Pipes coming away from the wall. *Curtains so bad they didn't cover the entire window. My husband propped a chair to the curtain so we could have privacy. *A hump in the bathroom floor almost made us trip. *No floor strip to separate the bathroom from the bedroom area. It was exposed concrete which could have caused someone to hurt themselves. *I couldn't believe while walking in the corridor that all the windows were missing. *Because the conditions of the hotel was so poor we worried about the possibility of rodents or roaches. Usually my husband and I would not stay in such a bad hotel, but It was a Jehovah witness convention taking place in downtown Detroit and most quality hotels were booked. I made the decision to try this hotel. Next time I will pay more money and stay somewhere else. The outside is appealing and looks fairly new but when you go inside, its like "What the Hell have I done."
The rooms were very hot, malfunctioning, illegal activity (Crack sales, prostitution, etc.) Unclean, holes in the walls, shower. Overall gross and uncomfortable.
The house keeping lady was very sweet
The man at the front desk was rude as hell
Nothing worked . Should be shut down. Faucets were broke . Pillows dirty . Phone doesn't even work. Door doesn't lock right . TV was broke. No management to talk to. It was a experience I will never put myself or kids through again. The price seemed decent when I was looking for a night in the area. I was almost ready to just leave and cut my losses .

I've traveled extensively around the country and this, by far was the worst hotel I've ever checked in. I thought I'd save some money by staying here due to its proximity to the convention center and not having to pay the room rate of the bigger hotels downtown, but that was the worst decision I've ever made. As soon as I walked in the room, it reeked of smoke and filthy smell, I had to leave and run to the nearest CVS (at 1am) to buy a disinfectant spray and air freshener. I swear I must've emptied that whole disinfectant spray and the room still smelled like garbage. I wasn't able to sleep at all due the noise of the air conditioner, the people talking outside and the fear that someone might just blast in my room and kill me. I've never felt so helpless and fearful in my life. I have booked here for three nights but didn't have a choice but leave that very morning and check in a better hotel. Lesson learned--you get what you pay for. On top of that, you are in a very bad neighborhood of Detroit! Never get yourself lost on that stretch of Jefferson.
