Bathroom (small) Shower
Breakfast was great, breakfast guy was extremely helpful, rooms were clean, excellent location, it was worth my money. Definitely staying there next time with my family.
TV in my room didn't work the whole time but I was hardly ever in my room so no worries, pillows were too hard
location, lobby, wifi in the lobby with terminals also available, free breakfast, ping pong table, easy access from LAX via Metro
lights were so dim in the room, it was noisy, no desk, wifi in the room unstable
Perfect for backpackers, Good location in a quarter with a lot of bars and Restaurant while having good access to public transportation, Room was fairly equipped (except the missing bathroom), The place seems to be a former luxury hotel which would need a renovation, Good Computers available in the Lobby for checking emails etc., Reliable in-room WiFi
Showers/rest rooms were not super clean (but ok...), Forget about the offered breakfast - it is very poor (coffee, juice, cornflakes, waffles - that's it)
I stayed at hotel for couple nights, it did not matter what hotel had or not as I just needed a bed for two nights
Wifi is slow B/F has nothing but cereals and waflles to offer Parking is not included in the rate.
Love the location! Close to all the places I like. Great prices! And the lobby is beautiful. The staff is great (the maids, valet, etc) except the front desk, they're horribly rude, never smile, and are always confrontational, I've never experienced such a tense front desk at a hotel.
The staff during the day, especially at the front desk is extremely rude! They are very unpleasant and despite the fact that I had been here for over a week! They treated me as if they hadn't talked to me before, they went so far as to make me remove my belongings from my room and wait in the lobby till my extension confirmation arrived in their system! Even after being here for over a week! Josh, a receptionist I had never seen before was very rude and confrontational after I told them I had reserved the room already, still insisting I bring down all my things after I had paid!!
Nice and clean hotel. Free breakfast (waffles, cereals, coffee) and fast free WiFi
Location: I didn't feel unsafe but always a bit unwell in the area. Some homeless people around, be careful when walking around at night
an ok value for money choice if you're looking for something moderately cheap at the city center. nice view from the 14th floor.
too close to the skid row area which is not exactly a visitor friendly place. the staff is not particularly nice and for reasons i can't exactly pintpoint we didn't find the whole atmosphere of the place very hospitable. also, not a good choice for a saturday night if you are not planning on going out and are a light sleeper.
Employees were friendly and helpful. Just a street away there are great places to eat. Rooms clean and the bed was perfect!
Just the lobby was looking nice
We were on the last floor. Room walls are so thin we could hear couple in the next room having sex really loud. The other room somebody was screaming and watching TV until 3am. Rooms were old, disguasting, beds uncomfortable, showers didn't work properly no hot water from the top. My husband didn't feel to even change his clothes or brush his teeth. He just wanted to fall asleep ASAP when we were coming at night (we stayed 3 nights). Scary hotel!!!
I was a traveler with light complications but the staff was accomidating and the place was goodlooking.
The tiny bathrooms were not easy to manuver, im glad im not overweight or have a disability.
Great location! Just be sure to use their Valet and not the garage next door.
It is haunted
it's a hostel
The reception staff were not friendly or helpful which was very dissapointing.
Clean Safe for travelers Computer Access Nice Staff
Bed was way too firm Do not honor lower internet pricing. I had to reserve online in their lobby a few feet from the check in desk in order to get the lower rate on the internet.
Rooms got very hot at night time
Location was brilliant for access to railway station which also has transport to/from 'airport. Always great to find hostel price for a solo traveller instead of having to pay for a double room.
Virtually nothing available to use in kitchenette, not even a cup. Computer kept shutting down when I was in the middle of doing something, very annoying. Preset timer to limit use? Would have helped to know.
Shared bathrooms; Super noisy, we could hear everything from the hallway; Lots of street noise; Location is in the downtown, however not much to see there;
The hostel is very central in a beautiful building, the reception hall is very cool and has a retro atmosphere
The stuff is terribly rude and not at all helpful. The shared rooms do not have lockers, which is insane for rooms that accomodate up to 6-8 people! I had to upgrade to a single bedroom because of that :(
Nice rooms, very beautiful lobby, friendly staff and easy access to metro.
Quite loud environment, you can easily hear everything when you're in your room. The Downtown area is not the most comfortable in LA, but for short stay it's alright.
Very small, smelly, dirty bathroom.
