Simple, clean, friendly, attentive owners, great price, incredible location.
Slow wifi became irritating after a couple days, typical of Vermont
Can't beat the location and price
Small room. The place is not special
It wa ok. Nothing more than this
1970's style accommodations.
Location on River/Bike Path
Busy street room.
Julian was our host and a very pleasant one at that! Our room was large and very comfortable. The inn is right on a bike trail, with bikes to borrow! Although it is not located in the town proper there are restaurants within easy walking and biking distance.
Needed a private bath

Great value for the price, walking distance to the Village of Stowe, friendly and helpful owners.
The Inn is completely adequate for my stay. I've returned to stay st the Inn 4 years in a row. I only use the room to sleep at the end of the day full of activities. The bed was quiet, clean and comfortable and the TV worked great. There was also a restaurant within walking distance, very convenient.
I couldn't stay longer, was my only complaint!
I stayed in #17 which is the room overlooking the river. It was quiet and I felt like I was in a cabin in the woods. The owners were incredibly accommodating and easy going. The day I left I was planning to walk the 2 mile path into town to catch my shuttle at 6am but it was raining. So the owner actually hopped out of bed, got dressed and drove me into town to catch my shuttle. I loved that they had bikes I could use and I normally rode into town to my conference on one of them using the path that cuts through the countryside. I didn't get a chance to sit in front of the fire place in the main house, I was too busy enjoying my chair overlooking the river next to my room. But the main house is very rustic and feels cosy the way I remember my childhood home feeling. There are a few stores and great restaurants very close by, plus on Sunday the farmers market set up just a few addresses down the road, what luck! The Riverside Inn made my trip a perfect trip.
Excellent hosts, very welcoming and provided more than just a bed, the owners made us a lovely cup of tea when we arrived and offered the use of the sitting room which was extremely welcome after a long drive.
The room I got had 2 double beds and a single one, yet there was still a lot of space. It's a bit old but was nice and really clean. The staff is wonderful, really kind and welcoming.
Everything, right when we pulled into the driveway my wife started to cry and said it was a dump. I went in and told the lady this is not what we expected nor did the website protray the true inn or place we were to stay at. She didn't even care as she had our payment for two nights and due to this rooms condition we only stayed that one night. So we paid $260.00 for two nights and stayed one and they didn't care or even ask why we were leaving when I turned in the key they had their money in hand already and maybe booked our room that was paid for to someone else possible - who knows. This had a main house then behind it a row of rooms if you call it that. There was no heat as they had it turned off at the main circut breaker, holes in the rug, bathroom had rust and mildrew in it. Went to plug microwave in and sparks were flying so couldn't even use that. Also the beds smelt like pee, so I don't know how they stay in business, I guess it is all about the money and there policy to cancel doesn't allow you to do so as we booked this last minute so we were stuck. What ever happened to honest business people I could never treat my customers this way nor would I. I hope you post this as it is written so people will not be taken like we were just being honest. Thank you!
Julian is kind and well organized. We arrived near midnight and stayed for two days. Julian had posted instructions on the door and left the key in the room for us. When we got wet in the rain, he dried our clothes in his dryer. The cost of the room includes free bike rental. Five of us biked the length of the recreational path and enjoyed a rainy day.
Very friendly staff, clean room, great location
It was a bit dated, but clean and very functional!
I have rented Cabins in the past when hiking in VT. This was an excellent alternative. It has a camping feel, with Barbecues available, free bikes for biking, and is located by the river. But the home run was indoor plumbing, electric, TV, refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave!!!!!! Did I say roughing it!
We shared a bathroom with others on our floor. It was clean but could use some updating, especially the tile work around the bathtub.
Good location, good price, clean, and the owners are genuinely lovely people.
It's a good 10 minute drive from the interstate with multiple state highway route changes. Would help tremendously to have GPS if traveling at night.
Morning coffee was excellent. TV had alot of channels. Room was very clean and they had a really nice well paved river trail on site. Slept great.
Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Location to shopping and restaurants.
Owners left written messages directing us to our room as we arrived late. Lots of beds! 2 queens and a bunk bed, all very comfortable. Microwave and coffee pot Good location close to village center Very reasonable price in an otherwise over-priced town
Parking lot unpaved
Large, comfortable, clean room. Centrally located.
Very nice place and very kind people... we'll keep a great souvenir of these 2 days in Stowe !
Traffic noise can be loud depending on the room, the building is a bit old but it's not really an issue for me.
Staff (Kay) is super nice, rooms are ok.
I liked that there was a restaurant which served breakfast on premise. Breakfast portions were huge and very delicious. The living room was quite comfortable and a nice place to hang out any time of the day.
