Old property, with oddly cave-like, half below ground, thus dank, first floor rooms. Pool dirty and closed. Breakfast room too small to accommodate all guests and not properly stocked. We stayed in double room with two queen beds -- worst was that one of the bed's sheets had not been changed. Spread was up on both beds. When removed, one had clean sheets, the other had obviously been slept in without changing. Mildew smell in bathroom. We were here for one night only, and they did come and change the linens when I pointed it out to them, so it was bearable. However, would not stay here again.
Location is only good thing about this motel, as it is within easy walking distance to the Shakespeare Festival. Price is good, too, but the saying 'you get what you pay for' applies here.
