Location was excellent.
Breakfast was poor. Toast with butter and jam, serious with milk, and apples. Coffee and tea.
Closeness to shopping, eating, other.
Location, wi-fi and front desk staff were very good.
Staff at breakfast was very rude. Room is very small.
This hotel is in the heart of union square, and close to public transportation
My room was too warm even after turning on the fan and opening the window
Everything is great!
Nice room, good breakfast and great service
Location is the best, heart of union square. Friendly staff
Rooms a little dirty.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a great location with lots of shopping nearby.
Tried several times to connect to Wi-Fi and I was never able to connect.
Great price for so close to Union Square. Small room, but comfortable enough. Nice staff. No refrigerator but front desk held food for us. Light continental breakfast was enough to hold us over.
Not a good choice for people that want to spend a lot of time in their room or need all the perks of a more expensive hotel.
Location is awesome!
Right in the heart of Union Square, helpful staff, decent room.
It was a cool old school hotel right in the middle of down town
Hotel is in a great location, only 20 metres from Union Square. Central to main shopping area, cable cars etc. Staff extremely helpful and courteous.
Room was small, and no coffee facilities.
Staff was incredibly helpful and informative at check-in. Seemed genuinely concerned that we enjoy our visit to SF.
The room was nothing fancy but was clean and fine for our one night's stay.
toilet ran all night breakfast was poor at best tiny room
The staff was very helpful.
Room was clean.
Shower drained very slowly. Needs a clan I think.
Cost and location
Rooms were dinky...NOT enough room for 2 suitcases. Sink in room far away from bathroom. No coffee maker.
Location is very good Staff is extremely friendly
Room is small and could be cleaner
Location is perfect. 5-minute-walk to nearest BART station. Also surrounded by various shopping places. Convenient breakfast.
Rather limited and stuffy space. Also has this strong smell that bothers me (probably because of the store that sells scented soap next door...).
- Location is the best, centre of everything - Room's spacious and clean - Receptionists are very friendly n helpfull
- Break fast is very poor - Elevator takes ages to move - Room has a ceiling fan as cooling system so it was a bit humid after shower
Breakfast, cleanliness, shower, too basic, very low value for money
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room, hot shower and comfortable bed. Basic, continental breakfast, good start to the day. Good wi fi. Great location - cable cars right outside the front door.
A little old, but not really a problem. Room not spacious, but OK, as we weren't really in it very much.
It was clean and cozy.
The bathroom wall had some water staining.
Very fast Wi-Fi that never had any problems to access. Location is right on Powell with walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Also easy to catch Uber on the corner at Union Square.
Room type was not as pictured on Booking. Bathroom was older, and the room was to be a Queen sized bed, they gave us a small room with a Full sized bed, and said "No, that's a Queen" by what measurement, I don't know, but it was quite small. Mistakes with our reservation, when I called to confirm the day before arriving they said it was for 2 nights and my booking confirmation said 3 nights. I verified and they said "Yes, we've got you for three nights" but at the end of a day of site seeing on our third night we were locked out of our room and had to return downstairs (slow elevators) and wait in line to have our keys reactivated. No explanation, no apology, nothing. Just "Here ya go!" and the next morning when we checked out we were charged for 4 nights! The clerk on duty at that time was very kind and caught the error herself, but other staff members we talked to never seemed to know if we were 2 nights, 3 nights, or 4 nights. Very disorganized. I would advise that you CONFIRM your reservation more than once with this property.
