Roxy's restaurant was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed exploring the tower and the views of Vegas. It was a quieter casino than others I've been to which was nice.
The room was extremely small. The Wi-Fi was completely inaccessible during my entire stay. The cigarette smell permeated the entire building
Excellent facilities and the tower is mind blowing.
Strange smell in casino?
The tower and the lounge. The hotel is very beautiful.
The wifi was horrible, unfortunately. They should make the access to the tower easier, because sometimes it feels like a labyrinth there.
The beds wernt really as soft and a bit dusty in the rooms, alerted my sinuses a little.
It has all the basics and you can take a cab ride to thw strip easily. The stratosphere also has decent prices for gambling.
This was the second time we've stayed there and the roof of the casino floor keeps flooding with what smells like sewage water. Its also extra smokey since the ceilings are lower and the building is older.
Hotel has lots to keep you entertained and you need a longer stay than our 3 days. Room was affair size and had all that we needed. Very comfortable
Shops are expensive and we stayed for New Years Eve and paid triple the price of a normal nights stay. Its at the end of the strip so you need to drive for shopping
(this leads on from what I didn't like)... The rooms on 24th floor - Select Tower We were given interconnecting rooms - the rooms were warm comfortable & functional. Decoration was fine - no complaints with new rooms - view was of Tower so we could see jumpers on the sky jump. If you are staying at hotel free trips up The Tower with your room key. Amazing views. Fireworks from top of tower NYE were very good. (You could not go up tower NYE as it was a party $199 each). Buffet breakfast nice & waiting staff friendly. Didn't try the Diner but my family said it was nice enough food in there. Summary The hotel the very North end of strip & a walk to the monorail at SLS (new hotel that used to be Sahara). Stratosphere is a bit isolated from both strip & Fremont Street. We hired a car & hotel parking is free in all the hotels on the strip. Other transport is Monorail connecting strip hotels & Deuce (a bus). The weather was bitterly cold (they thought it might snow NYE). This was our 4th visit to Vegas so we knew the location last visit 2009 when we stayed central strip & previous visits to MGM & Luxor South strip. I am not sure if I would stay here again. The location not great but price reflects this. Previous Customer Service was definitely much better in all of these hotels but I guess again you get what you pay for (or not). This is not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in or even the worst customer service ever in the USA - but if they had considered my requests via booking & separate email they would have got a much better review & much happier customers.Would have thought with over 2400 rooms they would have been able to put a family in the same tower with interconnecting or adjacent rooms. .
*Casino dark & smoky more like the old Vegas was but more obvious due to the new builds. *Lines for Check -in long especially 3pm/early evening *Terrible customer service - 2 rooms - one booking. Requested room on highest floor possible with interconnecting rooms, Requested high floor/interconnecting rooms both via booking & separate emails for 5 night stay.We paid for strip view rooms x2 which lowest floor should be 14th. Guess what...Given 14th floor & could barely see the strip only about 1 hotel could be seen. My daughters were due to be in a different tower from us which was totally unacceptable. We are travelling as a family we don't want to spend our vacation spending 20 minutes to locate the rest of our party. These Vegas hotels are huge. After complaining adult/teen Kids were then given room on 14th floor (no strip view but a view of the car park) in same tower. I did get an interconnecting room with someone else (really noisy) not too happy Following day manager agreed we could move to 24th floor after 3pm (day lost) but no strip view & waive the resort fee for both rooms for 3 nights (bearing in mind we were staying 5 nights & my daughters did not get a strip view any night that had been paid for). On checkout we had to complain again to get the resort fee refunded queried why only 3 nights - answer - we upgraded you to more expensive room anyway? So paying for a strip view (most popular room) is cheaper than a non strip view or the view of a car park?
five dollar blackjack
room felt old
Top of the world restaurant was excellent!
Hotel was very far from the strip
To far from any where.
The staff was friendly. Very easy to check out. Love that the rides on the top were included with the room. Didn't win, but lovely staff. Parking was free!!
Bad part of Strip. Pretty far away from the actual busy part of the strip. The whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke, very stuffy. I walked through other hotel casinos and it was not like that.
unlimited tower admission and gym Free Wifi
swimming pool closing at 5pm is too early Limited dining options for variety of foods Distance from the rest of strip
Unhelpful staff. Dirty room which was changed after we complained
It was perfect for us as we were looking for a cheaper hotel over new years. It was fantastic and we had a great time!
Location was a bit out of town but we knew that and taxis were really easy and pretty cheap anyway.
-the size of the rooms (really small) -too much money for the size and comfort of the room -extremely small bathroom
Room was big
Staff bumped us from the room we booked (strip view) because they overbooked
Rooms were comfy and clean.
It was located at the far end of the Vegas Strip so too long to walk to main area, had to catch a cab each time. Staff weren't that helpful unless you tipped them.
The location is great as its on the strip. Restaurant at the top was great but expensive. Room was big with lovey view. Not recommended for families.
Its a casino....so expect lots of people smoking inside and drinking!
The rooms where nice food was good bit pricey tho.
Room smelled like bleach. To the point of gagging.
The service at McCalls was awful
Tower view is fantastic. The prices are reasonable.
The room was poor, no balcony, only a small window that cannot be opened, no refrigerator, a small bath and toilet, lavotary is open to room. The room is the worst at strip.
rooms climate control antiquated and shower was terrible.
room was very noisy
Proximity to the strip
Paying for the rides.
