We enjoyed our stay other than the bed in our room. The location of the Inn is very good for fishing, stream or lake. The room was a good size and clean.
Our bed squeaked with every move you made. Not much rest.
The staff was super polite, the food in the restaurant was good and serving were huge.
The room we had was tiny and faced the stairs while the price for the room was really high.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Full bar and restaurant with good food. Mountain atmosphere; no pretentious types here in this part of the world.
Direct TV (provided) doesn't have an affiliation with Pac-12 Networks, so the Cal football game vs. Arizona was unavailable. That's not the Strawberry Inn's fault, though. Giants and A's baseball games were available (Direct TV has an affiliation with Comcast Sports Net).
The staff was great!
The bed was not at all comfortable and we had to ask for clean linens. Our room was never cleaned although we were out all afternoon.
We did not get a good nights sleep as the room was located below the bar restrooms and every time a toilet flushed you could hear it going down the pipes in the wall behind our bed. This of course continued until almost 2 am. We mentioned at checkout but the man did not seemed too concerned or even apologetic. Even an offer to pay for our breakfast would have been appreciated. If we ever stay there again, we would definitely NOT accept #10. Something should be done to insulate the pipes or wall to make it quieter.
Spotless! People very friendly.. Beautiful grounds. Property very well maintained. Awesome stay!
Try getting room upstairs. Some foot traffic, but no big deal. Fan in room way too loud
Great location near Pinecrest Lake area and on the river. Nice outdoor seating for the restaurant. The rooms were comfortable. The staff seemed very nice.
We had to close the door to the restaurant/bar each night to keep out the noise. Once closed it was quiet. We couldn't find instructions on how to access the internet.
The location, the atmosphere, the restaurant and bar, the river, the decor; All these things were absolutely amazing about this hotel.
No Ice machine so we had to ask at the bar for ice.
I made an request for a certain room number when I booked online, but was not sure if that would be accommodated. I was very happy to find out they did it for me.
Only disappointment was they had only shower, no bath tub. I wanted to relax in bath tub after 3 hours of driving from Sacramento. Also I couldn't borrow hair dryer because someone stole it. It was not their fault, but still inconvenient for me.
No Tea bags for people who don't drink coffee
Spacious updated room considering the wilderness/mountain setting and beautiful outdoor surroundings (inn sits right on lovely creek). Host was very nice. Good food in restaurant.
Stayed here so could have wifi for business purposes while extended family stayed in cabin without wifi nearby; there was a substantial charge for wifi, which was slow but worked fairly well in room (not in the beautiful outside areas, unfortunately). Room was fine and spacious but sheets were very worn out and were never changed during 5 night stay (bed was never made either); housekeeping service very minimal. Lots of noise could be heard overhead in bottom level room. No phone in room and no ATT cell service in area.
Perfect location for us, nice shower, excellent cleaning of the bathroom each day, giving us fresh towels.
Our overall stay was great, but there was an odor (I think of stale smoke) in the room. I would suggest cleaning the hall rug and updating the bedding. We couldn't keep the sheets on the mattress.
The staff are hard working and friendly. The food is really good.
Rooms do not have blow dryers, bring your own.
Love the area.
Meals were adequate but could have really enhanced the experience if they had been good. Prepared like fast food. No exception to check in time even if your room is ready.
location friendly staff good food
bedspread and decorative pillow were dirty bathroom floor was dirty
Very nice location.
Room air-conditioner was very loud.
Great views from dining area
Lousy food -- the rice had the appearance and consistency of a hockey puck and the veggies were so overcooked that they tasted like freeze-dried camping food ... before rehydration. Lousy wifi -- it used to be free. They misleadingly promote as though it's free. But then you find out it costs $7 per day per device. And the performance reminded me of my old 2400 baud modem back in the 80's. Dead beetles in the room. Yuck. Maid skipped cleaning our room ... completely, even though we had the "please clean room ASAP" sign hanging from our doorknob. Staff refused to acknowledge the error. Will we ever come back? Not a chance!
River flowing under my window. Nice walk down Old Strawberry Road along that river in the morning.
I would like to have refrigerator and microwave in my room. The restaurant is very nice but I prefer to cook my meal on my own.
Quiet; restaurant downstairs; view of the river. Bathroom overall clean; nice towels.
Sheets not secure - corners came off. Beds too soft, difficult to sit on edge of bed. Shower curtain had mold/mildew at bottom seam.
The shower did not get very hot.
Staff very cordial.
$137.50 is pricey. Checked in around 5 pm and checked out before 11 am.
Some the staff were friendly and helpful. Tried to fix problems when they occurred but were not very proactive. Food in the restaurant was excellent.
The place was not very full - maybe only one other room than mine occupied however, no maid service either night (no fresh towels, beds not made, trash not collected, etc.). Light bulb burned out in room at check-in. Mattresses were old and lumpy bPrice was too high given the lack of attention to detail. Ended up leaving a day early because we were so disappointed.
I liked the locatio
Heater too noisy, could not sleep.
Wifi wasnt free. You had to establish an account with some company, so we passed. Not a problem for me but teenagers didn't like it.
