the quality of the room very cheap and the price is expensive
The Location is Best
No broom available inside the cottage to sweep around. After several attempts to find one, I had to finally go ask for one at the front desk from the cleaning lady.
Four rooms with four bathrooms definitely helped when all the kids came back cold from the beach. The cottage was far enough away so I did not have to worry about the kids being too loud.
Very freindky staff, great location
Parking is quite poor and is not near hotel. Difficult to drop off luggage.
on the beach
Condition of blinds and windows. Can't close and open them.
Location and staff.
The staff was very friendly, the room had a breath taking view especially at sun set and had plenty of room for two adults and three teenagers plus having the kitchen made our stay more cost-efficient. I know that my family will be back to stay again
Check in was delayed as previous group left late. Reached at 3pm but only managed to get into cottage at 430pm. The courtyard was not well kept. The extra bed at the corner was not used for years. The kitchen did not have cutlery
Breakfast at Figs restaurant with 50% discount 8 to 10 am. Free WiFi Very close to the beach
hide-a-bed was uncomfortable
Amazing location and view. Woke to artist playing Over the Rainbow on the boardwalk - a great way to wake on vacation! Restaurant was excellent and breakfast was 50% off for guests. Would stay again.
My room wasn't clean when I arrived and it was a late checking but because of my inconvenience they comp me that night! So I was still please after all...
The location was awesome, there is a rehab right next door but it did not interfere with our stay. I loved going on the balcony looking at the sun rise and set.
Parking is extra
A little bit shabby hallway. Door sometimes didn't shut. You pay for location, less for the quality. Stick decently priced though.
Right at Venice beach Half priced breakfast for hungry people in excellent quality Staffed kitchen Staff was very friendly and helpful
It is opposite some sort of Mission and the noise from there was pretty bad and started from early morning. Only metres From the beach though so location overall was great. Room needed a bit of maintenance (new bulbs etc) and the larger ones we saw looked like the best bet if available.
Staff were great and very friendly. There was only a small room available so it was tight
The only thing that i didnt like was the Phoenix House (some kind of correction facility for those trying to break the cycle of drug and alcohol abuse) which was directly opposite the hotel. Some of hotel rooms have the view on that building, where you can see a people staring at you. I mean this guys seems not to be dangerous or whatsoever - i was passing next to those guys (some of them looked a bit creepy) like 100 times per day and only once i had a contact like "hey man, how is going". At night or early morning, i could hear them yelling occasionally but in general, that was not a big issue for me, but might be for someone else of you guys. I guess that is why this place does not have a greater score, since i cant think of something else. The rest was pretty fine.
People are nice, rooms are pretty comfortable. I had a big bed with a big bathroom. At least, my room had all those kitchen devices in the same room as my bad so that is not too much convenient, but still possible to prepare your own food. However, there is a restaurant in the same building in which you have 50% discount for hotel guests.
The wifi is very poor
Old bathroom. Tiles missing, noisy water system. Room requires a refurb. Area a bit scary at night.
plenty of space
Wifi didn't work well. No cell service.
Location and the restaurant next door was great. Parking was accommodating.
for people that are averse to homeless people they might be shocked at the reality of venice, e.g., dozens of people just sleeping on the ground all along the boardwalk. the maid service is spotty; they appeared to only clean the room if you put the card on the door. oddly, they also did not pay much attention to whether there was toilet paper, soap, overflowing trash, etc., unless you make it obvious for them
great location, assuming you are into being in venice. lots of interesting places to walk. two blocks to main st. and abbott kinney.
The full kitchen was good, but hardly any utensils to cook with. 1 saucepan, 1 frypan & no microwave cooking utensils.
Little that we know... The property faces the Drug Addiction Treatment Center of LA and Venice beach called Phoenix House. Be careful when booking please! They get you with an advertisement such as all sea view, which actually upon check in surprises you with an apartment and a balcony facing literally the drug house. The best experience one may get being at this property... The addicts will stare at you when you go out/in from the property as you have eaten their breakfast. Lousy receptionists. Awful experience.
Location of actual breach house
Had to move rooms because of electrical problems in first assigned room Didn't get maid service (though, to be fair, this may have been due to confusion because of the room move; and the desk gave us fresh towels when we asked)
Upgraded to a ocean-view room Large, spacious, comfortable apartment with kitchenette Great location on Venice Beach Free newspapers (LA and NY Times)
Great location. Nice place
location, staff were great
