Sugar Hill Harlem Inn  

Like old buildings with character and history, near to subways/trains,

Air condition system, I was not used to the plug in kind,

My room was in the Victorian Row house which was a few blocks up from the main location. I liked how insanely comfy the beds were. After a long flight and arriving late, its all you want and more than exceeded my expectations. Also liked that there was a kitchen that I could use so I could have a cup of tea when I got in from traipsing the streets all day. Rooms were comfy, cosy and individually decorated with actual creative touches which you don't often see. Also, free wireless was very much appreciated - when so many places these days make you pay on top of your rate! I would highly recommend this B&B (a rare find in NYC) and plan to come back for sure.

Only downside would be that it is quite far from the city center - but that's only really an issue if you have come to NYC to do all the usual tourist things. Saying that, it is extremely close to a direct subway line downtown, so if you are fine with that, which I was, then there's nothing to complain about. It's also nice to discover a completely different part of the city which is a lot less chaotic and claustrophobic compared to proper downtown.

The location.

I did not make reservations for the place that I ended up at and the value was not worth it at the location I stayed. The original own would not open the door or pick up the phone.

The rooms were big and beautiful, and very clean.

The area around sugar hill is not very touristy and at night we felt uneasy walking around on our own.

I chose this B&B for ease of travel to Yankee Stadium, only 1 block to the subway and 2 stops to the stadium. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Malcolm room. Our room was at the front of the house, but we heard no street noise during the night. I love the old brownstone features, woodwork, staircases, etc. Nice kitchen available. Dunkin Donuts and restaurants nearby. I loved the residential Harlem neighborhood, but my daughter thought it was "sketchy."

On the street parking was tricky. We wanted to sleep in but needed to move our car to the other side of the street by 10:00 am to avoid a parking ticket (street cleaning Mondays & Thursdays). We had a private bathroom (toilet and sink) but would have had to share a bath upstairs if we wanted to shower. I would definitely stay here again. Great for the price.

Location was great. Loved the character of the Inn and all the great photos! The Innkeeper was very welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

As instalações do quarto são boas.

Nao há uma recepção ou portaria. Quando se chega, se nao acertar o código para abertura da porta fica na rua.

床很舒服，说实话，在纽约这个价格能住到这样的酒店很满意了。网上看到的时候以为是青年旅社的感觉，其实更- 像家庭旅馆。很实惠，很舒服，卫生程度也不错，总体来讲很满意了。

酒店的位置在墨西哥人聚集区，感觉有点乱，晚上最好不要出门，也就不能感受纽约的夜生活。

La camera era grande e dotata di alcuni servizi utili.

La poca cordialità del personale e anche se vicino a due fermate della metro ci vogliono circa 25 minuti per arrivare al centro.

Es ist privater als ein Hotel und verströmt den Charme der Jazzkultur in Harlem.

Очнь странный отель и его хозяин. Начну с того, что отель находится не по тому адресу, который указан. Там находится офис в котором оформляется пребывание. Сам отель находится в пяти улиц от того места, если вы уставшие и с чемоданами, то точно не обрадуетесь. Войдя в номер я была не то что удивлена , а пребывала в шоке от увиденного. НИЧЕГО ПОХОЖЕГО, ЧТО Я ЗАКАЗЫВАЛА НА САЙТЕ НЕТ. Смогла только переночевать одну ночь. Вот и делайте выводы...

Расположение. Находится в "бедном, черном" квартале. Страшно было в окно выглянуть. Ну и сама обстановка, старая мебель очень маленькая спальня.

El edificio es precioso y las habitaciones muy comodas, tiene una cocina en planta baja que se comparte pero es muy grande y es muy completa.

La ubicacion si bien es buena es un poco alejado para ir con niños ya que si o si hay que viajar en subway para acercarse a las zonas mas centricas. Igual el barrio es tranquilo y el subway esta a 2 cuadras.

Poca cordialità dello staff dove al nostro arrivo nn era presente ma ci hanno mandato una mail di come arrivare alla nostra camera e di dove erano le chiavi per entrare. Al momento del pagamento nn mi hanno rilasciato una ricevuta ma un pezzo di carta sul quale c'era scritto a mano che avevo pagato dicendomi che dopo mi avrebbero mandato la ricevuta vera via mail.....mai arrivata. Al momento della prenotazione ci assegnano una camera più grande ci mandano le foto ed è veramente bella il giorno prima del nostro arrivo ci comunicano il cambio stanza via mail e ci danno una stanza più piccola brutta all'ultimo piano senza ascensore. Letti scomodissimi area condizionata rumorosissima

Hotel in posizione tranquilla e comodissimo per raggiungere la metropolitana. Stanza molto ampia e ben arredata. Lo consiglio vivamente

O hotel é super charmoso, os quartos são ótimos, excelente cama e banheiro, assim como as instalações gerais. A sensação no hotel é de aconchego total. O dono e os funcionários são maravilhosos. Um experiência única com gosto de quero mais.

I loved the location - just 1and 1/2 blocks from subway stop. Very quiet and beautiful, large room. We felt very much at home.

The breakfast was okay - nothing special. And, they were overbooked, so we had to stay in a room without a bath for one night and then move to another room.

Premier problème : sur le plan fourni par booking, nous pouvions voir une station de métro juste à côté de cette chambre d'hôte mais ce métro n'existe pas... Dés notre arrivé, le propriétaire nous a demandé de régler la chambre. Puis il nous a dit que notre chambre n'était pas dans cette maison mais à une autre adresse. Une personne nous a accompagné et avec toutes nos valises nous avons dû faire plus d'1 km à pied. Une fois arrivé la chambre ne correspondait bien sûr pas du tout avec la photo de booking. Et pour prendre le petit déjeuner il fallait bien sûr refaire 1 km pour revenir à la première adresse, chose que nous n'avons pas souhaiter faire. Bref, une arnaque, je ne recommande à personne cette chambre d'hôte. Nous pensons qu'une fois que le propriétaire a réservé toutes ses chambres, continue de prendre d'autres réservations pour d'autres lieux.

房间布置不错，很有家庭旅馆的味道，床也很舒适，很安静

统一管理的，实际入住的地方距离早餐有点点远，早餐好简单，价格有点高，另房间是要爬楼的，不建议有大行李- 的客人入住，网络高楼层信号很差。
