Score from 179 reviews Very good
quite and good location
no towels provided
SUPER cheap. At this point in my life, I was just looking for a place to sleep with hot water, and that's exactly what this place is. Person who was working at the "lobby" (I don't know what to call this location) was just normal, not mean, not nice, but just doing their job.
The beds did not have actual padding or the right sheets on the bed (Ie. there was a sheet just wrapped around the bed instead of a fitted sheet just on the mattress itself). We were also only given 1 key for some reason, which we locked ourselves out within the first 5 minutes...Our towels were stained and pretty nasty looking as well. Overall though, not complaining for the price. We only needed it to sleep, and that's what we did.
The price was great and the room was clean. Also included refrigerator and micro.
The towels were small and not very soft. Will bring our own towels next time, although the staff said they would give us more if we asked.
Beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in, screen on the one window was broke and ripped. No fan or air conditioning. Will never book with them again
Wifi was good !
Found dirty socks on the floor. Nothing stayed in the plug ins. Towels were for very small children an thin. They use flat sheets instead of fitted, woke both nights sleeping on bare mattress !
The Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good for access to the beach and a short distance to the boardwalk. For the price compared to others in the area it was perfect for a one night stay.
staff nice,area nice,nice room for price,kitchen good,tv nice.
dangerous area for werd things. old building.dirty.no maid service.
The best rooms are across the street from the office.
The only possible "like" is that the wifi worked.
Where do I even start? I paid $88 for a scary motel with everything to be desired. The furniture is from the 80's and in bad shape too. The T.V. is also from the 80's, the screen was green and there was so much fuz that we couldn't turn up the volume or that was all we would hear. The bathroom was in working order, that's about it. The bathtub has cigarette burns all over it and the sink was full of rust! Our room didn't smell bad, but as we were walking up to our room two men that were staying in the room under ours said to me "I hope your room doesn't smell as bad as ours." Also there is no A/C and there is no screen on the window, so if you need to cool off..do so at your own risk. I would NEVER stay here again!
We were there on July 4 weekend. Price was outrageous. $200 for $40 room. No continua tell breakfast. A couple very thin towels. When we complained were told stay somewhere else. Had to roll up blankets to use as pillows. TV was tiny and the reception was unwatchable. Staff rude and unaccomidating. Feeling ripped off is an understatement.
We were able to get a room at 10 pm the night before couldn't find any rooms with 2 double beds except this place
100 cancelation fee. Some friend said we could of slept on there boat but the cancelation fee was what the room cost In room 127 couldn't get wifi. Loged on once but couldn't get back on. But room was fine
close to fred meyer. In the back away from the highway 101.tv,shower.
did not know if I could get in.
One night stay. Budget friendly.
The plug in the bathroom did not work.very dirty.the toilet holder was gone. The towels looked dirty. If I had not been so late I would have asked for my money back. I would never stay there again.
It had a large bathroom. The beds were comfortable enough.
The phone didn't work. The wifi didn't work. The carpet didn't look clean. There was no air conditioning.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional. They offered advice on what to see and do. The room was clean if a little dated. The bed was comfortable and the wifi excellent. I was able to watch a couple of movies on Netflix. The motel is within walking distance of a laundromat and some very good restaurants. The beach is just a few blocks away.
The room had no air conditioning. The hotel sets right on the highway which is good for access but not very quiet at night. The walls are rather thin so I could hear the conversations of those outside.
location, safe, close to stores. shower nice and tv.
rug not cleaned, area to big for me. kitchen unnessessary.
You had to ask for room service or you did not get it, You had to take your own towels to the office for new ones, they provided no stoppers for the bath tub and we had a child, the cable is terrible, Rooms smelled awful, We ordered a room with microwave, tv and fridge but got 2 tv's and a fridge. I had to request the microwave. Management seemed annoyed when being asked questions. We were on the bottom level and could hear every footstep on the upper level. Towelette seat was cracked and pinched. You had to cross the street to get Ice or soda.
Close to places we went
They never cleaned our room the whole time we were there. We ask them too never happen. Some of people in other units a little strange and with only my adult daughter and I made us alittle uneasy
Center of town, close to everything.
Can't have everything, but traffic was heard. Things I seen, door trims painted, maybe weather stripping on door. (132) but was clean.
Would not provide extra towels or pillows or blankets. In an empty hotel, they put someone above us at 2 in the morning that stayed up making noise all night. No Ice Bucket. Walls in bathroon dirty. Bedding was thin and cold.
Everything. The towels were stained and had holes in them. The shower curtain was dingy. There was no fitted sheet- just a flat sheet folded around the mattress and no mattress cover. No toilet paper on arrival. No towel bars or toilet paper holder. Bed was uncomfortable. Noise from road and neighbors kept us up all night. Not worth saving a few bucks at all.
That it was $65.
I didn't care for the rudeness of the guy who checked me in when my reservation from booking.com wasn't there. The room was disgusting and smelled horrible.
Older hotel that is in need of updates. Poor WiFi signal. T.V. reception was poor, lots of static in the local channels and no guide as to what they offer in a channel line-up.
I was very disappointed. I have stayed in several of the local motels in Newport and have never had an experience like this. Supposedly we were staying in the "newly remodeled" rooms. I don't think so! When we first checked in there were no towels, cups, ice container, refrigerator or coffee maker in the rooms. The bathroom had a half a role of toilet paper and no kleenexes. The towel rack in the bathroom was missing (part of it was there, no rod). The door to the bathroom was an outside door that wouldn't close all the way and when we finally did get towels one of the wash clothes had a huge hole in it. And that's just the first room. The room the rest of my family was staying in was just as bad. We stayed for two days and did not get cleaning service for the second night. And had to ask twice to get towels (again). During the first day while we were out a refrigerator was put in one of the rooms. HBO was supposed to be free but it was like watching the ant races and the WiFi connection was terrible! I understand the name has "budget" in it but really? I would not recommend this place to anyone.
