The room was simple, yet spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was a great size. Located within 200m from the subway line, so it was convenient to travel into the city.
Shower is big
Heat was broken all night during the Winter
I liked the hotel staff they were very nice & helpful. The night shift worker even printed out an important email for me.
I did not like that there was NO where to park. We drove around for about 25mins before we found the tightest parking on the street behind the building
The room was on the first floor so that made it very difficult to get good sleep. Too much activity.
The breakfast was the only he decent thing about this place
This hotel is in a really bad area of Brooklyn and it's not cheap. I was ordered - yes ordered to pay $150 deposit even though I was only staying one night. There was no mention of this when I was booking the room on the website!! There was a dirty tissue in the hotel TV guide and mould in the shower. The air conditioning/heating had one level only so it was either full blast or off. When it was on it was really noisy and the curtains blew open. There were no blinds so everyone could see right into the room. I decided to turn it off and ask for a blanket but I was told they didn't have any blankets and they didn't have any spare duvets!!!!!! So it was a freezing night in a hotel where the walls were so thin I could hear the person next door going to the bathroom and the televisions were so loud on both sides I got no sleep at all. On top of that every time the lift stopped on a floor it beeped but it was so loud it was ridiculous. This place is a total nightmare and if you are still thinking of staying here after reading this I suggest you take a taxi it really is not a good area to be walking around with a suitcase!!!
The room was the perfect size for the money The room was clean
The staff saw where my car was parked, they told me it was correct and I ended up with a ticket.
bad experience this time. The staff make the mistake,Not flexible, when we back they put our staff to the luggage warehouse.Cause I have two booking and different kind of room. The manager has no any apologize about this.
The location was good for my purposes. The building seemed secure and tidy. The room was relatively new. The price was excellent for a NYC hotel.
I did not participate in the complimentary breakfast. It was not appealing or appetizing. The orange juice was watered down.
Lighting in bathroom poor, needed dusting very badly.
convenience to subway, price, quiet
trash on streets
Room was fine. Breakfast was fine. Service at front desk was good.
The guests that night were rowdy and and loud in the early am hours.
How clean and modernized it was. It was very close to the metro.
The vending machine was broken.
The price was great and the location was convenient. The room was clean, new and comfortable.
Neighborhood was close to the projects.
Sleep: awful, limited, walls are thin, had to call downstairs at midnight to report the people nextdoor who were very loud and inappropriate for hours (as if the lady was being thrown around the room). I had my 9 yr old daughter (fortunately asleep) beside me. I was there on business and while I intended to stay 5 days, I needed to change 2 of the days due to a schedule change with regards to our business purposes there. The hotel staff would not let me speak with a manager, they were not accommodating and would not refund me (though I wasnt asking for a refund, but only to change my dates). So essentially they ripped me off $350 (in which I reported to my bank). I would not recommend staying here if you are business and want a good night sleep.
the location was excellent. It was very close to the subway station that takes you anywhere you wasn't.the breakfast was okay.
the room was very small
It's near of the subway
You can't eat such poor breakfast more than few days )
I liked the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel it was nice the staff was good and polite
The maid knocked on the door prior to the checkout time forcing us to leave early
The location is very close to the subway M and J lines that goes to Manhattan.
The breakfast room is not big enough to accommodate all guest that try to eat around 9AM. When we asked to stay in the room after 11AM on our departure day they are charging $15 per hour and you can stay just till 1PM.
This hotel was fantastic for our group. We were only a block away from the J/M and there was also a bus stop on the same corner. I felt very comfortable walking to/from the train late at night. We didn't explore the immediate neighborhood much but I think the negative reviews of this location are greatly exaggerated because our experience was fine. It was easy to get to other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan fairly quickly and the rooms were nice and very clean. We would absolutely stay here again!
I hate to say this but the front desk staff was the only negative the girl who checked us in had a very difficult to understand accent and had a hard time understanding is as well. I also would have preferred to be able to charge a different credit card than the one I used for the reservation but was not allowed to do so which was a little frustrating.
Location was Ok Bed comfortable Room size was Ok
-The front desk glass -The front desk personnel, the lady was really slow and looked like she had no idea what she was doing -The manager summoned by other unsatisfied visitors didn't care -The room was just filthy. Looked like they never wipe the dust off the surfaces. All of them (the desk, the bedside tables, the sink in the bathroom) were covered with dust. It had not been wiped for ages. We had to use napkins to put our stuff to the desk. The bedding was ok though -The breakfast was very poor
Location was good for my needs at the time. Staff is very nice; breakfast is suitable; staff is accommodating to needs; transportation is readily available.
Several issues that should have been very obvious to housekeeping staff should not have been overlooked. Toilet seat was literally falling off the toilet; the back of the desk chair was literally falling off; the bed was completely broken down on the most-used side and a simple flip would have made it tolerable; bathroom tile needs to be treated with Clorox to kill the mold/mildew; a little better vacuuming should be done in the room.
Employees are nasty
It was very close to the Metro station as well as surrounded by a lot food shops and other useful things. The staff were also nice enough to hold our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. At first, the location seemed unsavory but it definitely grows on you. Nothing sketchy ever happened while we were there.
The walls were a bit thin and in the mornings, I was often woken up by the housekeeping and room service crew because I could hear them talking loudly in the hallways.
Room was large and comfortable
Had trouble with room security safe initially. Breakfast room was too small for demand.
Staff, hotel, location, right by train station.. Breakfast..
