Location. They have cheapest price at Manhattan.
Wi-fi,staff,rooms,dirtyness. There is nearly 40 room at the floor but there is only 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms. Bathrooms are not clean. I stayed at 5th floor and no wi-fi. After me they may be repaired the internet.
Bathrooms were unclean
Everything. Photos are not real.
I liked the location .
1. I disliked walking up five floors . 2.The 3rd and 4th floors gave off the odor of cat urine . 3. The stairs were littered with trash . 4.The lock on the door wasn't secure. 5.The bathroom ceilings leaked . 6.There were pools of water on the bathroom floors ( from the leaking ceiling ) . 7. The toilets didn't work ( the toilets were full of unflushed excrement ) . 8. The unflushed toilets gave off an offensive odor . 9. The bathrooms weren't maintained for showering . 10. There was cat excrement on the floor of the 5th floor hall, etc, etc.
Good location safe
Rooms too small No cupboard Too few bathrooms No wi fi
First floor Rooms
All other floors, toilets are unusuable because waters come in from roof top for an example if you stay in 2nd floor and using the toilet waste water will come from 3rd floor toilet and if your rooms in 3rd floor it will come from 4th floor so on. on the 6th floor it is bachelor mass like people stays for months and years
Place was spotless, staff was attentive to all matters. The place is very safe and location is interesting.
WIFI kept going in and out.
I've stayed at a lot of shared-bath hotels, and the bathrooms in this hotel were very clean. It's nothing fancy, but it offers a good product at a very good price. And the staff are very accommodating.
The restroom was terible. Locatione quite well.
Its was like sleeping in a closet. So noisy u could hear everyone and everything around u the bathroom was disgusting. Just not worth it.
Very unstable Wi-Fi and do not work at all the time. A lot of leaks in the restrooms. Restrooms are clear only for 10 mins after cleaning. Small, very small room/cage. You can hear everything what happens next to your room.
Private limited room
I liked the shared bathroom that we shared w the entire second(main area)'the bathrooms and whole property were very clean and Dec taken care of...it was a cheap rate for a moderate room.
The rooms are tiny but very clean. no window in my room, still air flow was sufficient and there was a fan in room also. there was a sink and a small dresser and 8in. TV on the wall Cady corner. When I booked the room I paid in advance for a double smoking room .I get to the property's and the whole building is non~smoking. I was a bit upset but I smoked only 2 Times my whole stay here....it was a bit smaller like the room fit a queen bed me my wife and that's it the room was packed it was bigger than a business class bed like in Tokyo`s business accommodation. so overall a fair experience at literally a small fraction of New York City's normal room by night price. so I wasn't too upset waking up in a suitcase sized box w cash left in my pocket.
They had hot water.
The amount of cockroaches, the dripping ceilings, the constant and drastic temperature shifts, the stains on the walls/bed, the funny smells, the lack of ceiling in my cubicle.
Much cheaper than the standard hotels/motels & fairly close to the subway.
Shared bathrooms - no tv/clockradios in room.Very small.Water leaks in bathrooms!..sometimes neighbors talking loudly on their cellphones with NO respect to their neighbour.
Before booking, I was put off by many of the reviews. I think these folks are from the other side of the tracks and maybe never stayed in anything worse than a Hilton. This hostel is fantastic for the money. You get a sleeping room and shower space for under $60 in a completely safe neighborhood with a subway stop a few blocks away. Do you know how impossible that is to fine anywhere near Times Square. Great for the money.
Bathrooms weren't ideal but toilet was clean and showers were always available when I needed them.
Feel like in jail!
The toilets and restrooms
wash room is too dirty it's a dormitory, no one can live there, bad smell.
Poor facilities, poor cleaning, poor service, poor sleep. Not worth the price and very poor in almost everything. Not value for the money paid for it.
There is sooo small rooms!! And so dirty bathrooms, it's awful
price and location
Some customer make noise and phone at 7hrAM, it happened two times in one week.
It's more like a dormitory/hostel. Bathrooms are common for about 60 rooms. And, the day I went, there was water leaking all over the floors and some from the ceiling.
