Score from 2349 reviews Very good
no elevator, no windows in room; I was on the 5th floor and had to take my luggage up and down the stairs. Internet not working! room is as small as a prison cell(there is only space for a bed in this room);you can actually hear the noise from other rooms;bugs are presented in the room as expected(we already prepared for it so we brought the sleeping bag);the room is so dirty;the power plug is very inconvinent to use
as the title
Honestly Nothing. It was like a prison.
Washrooms and bathrooms were disgusting. Cockroaches and spiders are all over the hotel. It shouldn't even be called a hotel. Not even a Motel or Inn! Each room is like 2 meters! Rooms have no ceilings! Don't be deceived by the pictures of the rooms and the doors. Crew had terrible behaviour. And didn't communicate good english. Crew were not helpful and didn't care about you. I would never go back to this place called hotel.
Hotel should be shut down. The room (#20) didn't look safe. Felt like I was going to catch pneumonia sleeping in that fridge of a room.
The whole experience. Management should not let guests stay in room #20 to be specific. No heat in that room, no hot water. Dirty looking sheets & they weren't on top of cleanliness with the bathrooms.
Good value for money. Good and clean bathrooms and great staff. Really close for several subway lines.
Showers had some waiting time between 8 and 9am. Plan that ahead if you need to be somewhere on time. Small rooms
I guess everyone should have experienced something like that once in his life.
Everything. 2m² bed/room Dirty, was not brave enough to use the shower I thought it could not be as bad as other reviews described it. I was proven wrong. No ceiling, you can hear absolutely everything going on in the other "rooms".
Just location .It is not hotel the staffs look like people coming from jail ,they cant deal with humanbeing .They only can deal with people as they r
Very very cheap price. Can be applicable if do not have another choice and are going to stay here only for 1-2 nights.
1) Dirty and old rooms 2) Very dirty restrooms with broken lockers 3) Very bad wi-fi connection (5 floor) 4) Strange rude neighbors which can talk on the phone very loudly at the night very long time 5) Strong chlorine smell
It was like sleeping in a cell, no Windows and too hot, bed was uncomfortable, really bad nights sleep
The staff was horrible, very rude. The place stink, and is noise. I really regret about this stay, I wouldn't bother pay more for something batter.
Nothing I go to sun bride hotel to just sleep and because it's not bad location
Size of room the car is bigger than the room
Loved the place, very friendly staff, comfy bed, clean bathroom, good wifi, good location
For gays from the UK: think of the tiny little rooms they have in saunas like Chariots. It's like sleeping in one of those only they have no ceiling. You have light dining in all night and can hear a lot! I took earplugs. This place is clearly more of a temporary accommodation for the homeless than a tourist hotel. Only good thing is the location on Manhatten.
Everything about it! ...What DID I like?!
there's nothing to like
None for me.
No.1 I was infected by lots of bed bugs bites. I had to go hospital and spent a lot of money. No.2 You never know until you arrive in front of this hotel, it's about 25 feet stairway to hell, you have to climb up to the entrance.
WIFI didn't work. Bathrooms were disgusting. They said it was supposed to be renewed 6 months ago but that clearly didn't happen. The room was too small to hold all my luggage. I didn't fit in the bed. Very noisy since there is no roof.
Staff were useless and rude
Location, value for money.
Smell bad, no roof over my head in the room, tiny rooms , not a conventional motel, I could hear every noise that other guests made.
- I'm really trying to think a positive side of the hostel, but I can't find it. It's not that owners are deliberately making your stay as comfortable as possible. No. It's just their system doesn't work.
- Bathrooms as mentioned by everyone. They put up a sign that they were looking into this, but still, everybody needs to aware of that before booking. - I think the unique design of this hostel fails. Normally, you'd share a room with 5-6 people in a proper hostel, but in this hostel, you get to share your so-called 'private' space with 60-odd people because of the way the rooms were arranged. The room (or cellar, if you like) you'll stay at is an incredibly small area without a ceiling. There is a door, which gives you the illusion that you have a 'private' space, but since the ceiling is open, you'll hear each and every other people's noises. Not unlike an office cubic. Since people think they have a private space just because they have a door, they behave accordingly. Even two or three of them are kind of enough to make little noise, there are 60 others who can make your night as hell. Be careful. - There is a background light which is never switched off. You'll have to sleep under this light the whole night. You are like a chicken in a cage. This is what it is.
Dont go there
Poor staff, they were almost like on sedation. The whole place was dirty and smelly, filled with cockroach tribes, I would not recommend this to anyone at all even to my worse enemies.
Only the fact that the hotel is in Manhattan (exactly between Chinatown and Little Italy) can be taken as positive
Broken WiFi Permanent Light in the floor No garbage collection Very unfriendly personal Very dirty toilets
