Private limited room
I liked the shared bathroom that we shared w the entire second(main area)'the bathrooms and whole property were very clean and Dec taken care of...it was a cheap rate for a moderate room.
The rooms are tiny but very clean. no window in my room, still air flow was sufficient and there was a fan in room also. there was a sink and a small dresser and 8in. TV on the wall Cady corner. When I booked the room I paid in advance for a double smoking room .I get to the property's and the whole building is non~smoking. I was a bit upset but I smoked only 2 Times my whole stay here....it was a bit smaller like the room fit a queen bed me my wife and that's it the room was packed it was bigger than a business class bed like in Tokyo`s business accommodation. so overall a fair experience at literally a small fraction of New York City's normal room by night price. so I wasn't too upset waking up in a suitcase sized box w cash left in my pocket.
They had hot water.
The amount of cockroaches, the dripping ceilings, the constant and drastic temperature shifts, the stains on the walls/bed, the funny smells, the lack of ceiling in my cubicle.
Much cheaper than the standard hotels/motels & fairly close to the subway.
Shared bathrooms - no tv/clockradios in room.Very small.Water leaks in bathrooms!..sometimes neighbors talking loudly on their cellphones with NO respect to their neighbour.
Before booking, I was put off by many of the reviews. I think these folks are from the other side of the tracks and maybe never stayed in anything worse than a Hilton. This hostel is fantastic for the money. You get a sleeping room and shower space for under $60 in a completely safe neighborhood with a subway stop a few blocks away. Do you know how impossible that is to fine anywhere near Times Square. Great for the money.
Bathrooms weren't ideal but toilet was clean and showers were always available when I needed them.
Feel like in jail!
The toilets and restrooms
wash room is too dirty it's a dormitory, no one can live there, bad smell.
Poor facilities, poor cleaning, poor service, poor sleep. Not worth the price and very poor in almost everything. Not value for the money paid for it.
There is sooo small rooms!! And so dirty bathrooms, it's awful
price and location
Some customer make noise and phone at 7hrAM, it happened two times in one week.
It's more like a dormitory/hostel. Bathrooms are common for about 60 rooms. And, the day I went, there was water leaking all over the floors and some from the ceiling.
Oh well nastiest place ever! Fromy flr 2 to 4 , it's like chicken cages no CA dont be surprised , but in 5th floor Single bed , neat but 1 bathroom for 60 people, it's cheap 50 bucks for nyc, buy omg not worth it , nasty 3!
Everything! But you get what u pay for!
Clean, secure room. Very central location.
Unusable, dirty restrooms, and flooded the whole time. No evidence of work being done to change that. Poor and slow, then non-existent 'free WI-Fi',and indifferent staff when asked why and again no sign it was being remedied and it was down for the rest of the time I was there.
more photos to give the guests true depiction of hotel.
I like the fact that after I paid for my room, the innkeeper snatched the paper from me, chuckled and said "No refunds!". It's amazing how evil this man is. When you see your room, the first thing you think is "GET A REFUND!". This place is a hovel and should be condemned. $40 for this place is highway robbery. It should more like $5. The first 4 floors look like a homeless shelter. The 5th floor looks like a Chinese prison. It's sort of like a mental asylum if the purpose of it was to actually drive people insane.
When I walked into the place, the staff looked at me with abject horror. Maybe they thought I was a health inspector. Then they looks turned into an almost "Why are you staying here?" thing when they realized I had booked a room. Then they sort of relaxed when I paid. I stayed here for one night and I feel like I've lost 5 years off of my life. I do encourage people to stay here because this should experienced. I can't really put into words how miserable this place is. You have to see it with your own eyes.
In our room we could hear our neighbour very well-so they also heard us....
Jail cells were are bigger couldn't get wifi except you were on first floor and you can here every one in next room
I made wrong decision it was not to me
The place itself was not to type never mind sharing room it was not comfort at all
Clean room and good location.
Shared bathroom (I don't remember to read it when booking).
