It's across the street from the beach and you can bring kitchen utincels to cook if you are staying for a long time and do not want to spend all of your money on restaurants and the pool was alright too
The first night there was a big roach in the bathroom sync and the room had the smell of humidity and it wouldn't go away even after we had brought an air freshener but we weren't spending time in there so we didn't care much so over all I don't recommend it if you are looking for something fancy because this is a motel and we only stayed there because it was a last minute thing
Roach infested. When told the staff, the try to say it was not a roach. Then came with roach spray couldnt sleep cuz of it. Did not offer other room. Roaches kept coming. Dirty pool.
the place is disgusting...rat hole..and i am not exaggerating
the location was good. not to far from the beach
the grounds were not becoming, one of the swimming had tarp over it. the room was dirty, linens were stained and old. no shampoo, no hair dryer and no coffee pot. we asked for a king bed and was told there were none available. a bug of some sort got in my hair during sleep and woke me. It is not worth the money charged and I would not go back or recommend to anyone.
The staff changes the bedding every 4 days! Highly unsanitary!
It was across the street from the beach, walking distance from the boardwalk.
TV remote didn't work, toilet would not stop running, towels were still wet, beds were too hard, shower was so small.
manager was polite and helpful
The brochure was excellent on the advertisement as a picture. The actual pool was fair at the alley way facility. The other pool and surrounding areas looked like a lot of rubbish.
You had alot of mexocams residents who were.gather at 3 am at the pool looking at me like Im out of place. I didnt even sleep didnt feel safe.
Good water pressure small kitchenette clean towels
The door was falling off the hinges bugs on the floor bugs in the bed mold on the shower curtain
Location...vacancy on such short notice
Being on bottom level..to much noise from upper level guests.
Roaches in room. Shower pressure horrible, dirty room, needs remodeling, plumbing backed up. Worst place I ever stayed.
I liked the location the beach was across the street. The staff was very friendly.
The amount of money I paid for this hotel was not worth it I wouldn't have paid more than 60 but it was one of those last minute check ins. The hotel smelled like cigarettes and place is slightly old. The beds aren't that comfortable.
I liked the full size refrigerator and closet. The air conditioner was great too. The pool was very nice. The motel supplied pool rings and beach balls to play with and I liked how the shallow end was set up. It was perfect for my little one to run around in while my older children played in the deeper end.
I did not like how some guests treated the porch as their party place and kept us up at night. The stay was much better after those guests left and families with children replaced them. I didn't realize there was only a shower and not a bathtub too. It worked out ok but my little one prefers to take baths at night and there wasn't much room in the shower to shower comfortable without bumping into the walls and I'm a petite person.
Close to beach
Hard bed,no coffe pot,no tv remote,
people that worked there were nice. Air worked good. Pool was ok.
first day had to change rooms because kitchen sink drain was broke, water all over floor.no coffee pot had to buy one.only 2 nasty pans, did not use them.one pan in oven was filled with grease.bed rails never cleaned, nasty looking.
when u opened the door you were hit with a musty smell. the kitchen cabinets were falling a part. the bathroom cabinet had mold spores on the outside of the doors. the beds were like sleeping on concrete with a bed spread over to cover the bed. there are holes in the walls. it is just one big mess
It is not modern by any means, but reminded me of motels from my childhood. After reading many of the reviews my daughter and I were afraid of what we would find, but we were happily surprised. The room was clean and large. The kitchen had all working appliances, which is all we needed because we packed paper products and cookware. The staff was friendly and helpful, even helping us to arrange to stay an extra night. The pool was large and warm and was open until 10, which was great for late night swims. It was only a block from the beach and we could walk there in minutes, with a grocery store, mini golf and attractions only blocks the other way.
The internet was great, supporting 2 computers and a tablet, until the third night when there was a storm. For the rest of the week it was sporadic. The room had a toaster but no coffee pot. I had to go to Wal-Mart for one, but that was a personal choice because I can't live with 3 teens without coffee. There was no problem getting hot water, the problem was trying to make the shower cool enough. Basically, we had 2 choices, hot or hotter.
Price and location
It needs to be updated and have no carpet!
nothing but trashy people stay there and i payed to much to stay there!!!
It felt like it went thru a storm and was trying to recover. Mold spots in bathroom, on floors, on cabinet. Kitchen was ok, fridge was cold, stove worked fine and so did microwave. Just felt a little creepy to me for some unknown reason.
This motel is old, and needs to be upgraded. No offense, just a fact. I would give it two stars at the most, but it charges three star+ prices. Having said that, let me say, yes, I would stay there again. I travel alone and all I need is a bed and a shower, and they have that. I do not need all the amenities, and they don't have that. They do have Wi-Fi. If I was bringing a guest, I would not stay there. The room I had was probably very nice in the late 70s early 80s, but this is 2014 ?
Close to the beach.
Rooms very old and old carpet smell wet.
Check in was easy, the staff was nice and location was great. Price was good. I loved the view of the beach across the street. Everything was so close (boardwalk/broadway/food). It's on the main strip which was great since we went during mustang week so it's like we had our own private parade as we watched on our private balcony. Our room had a kitchen (that's great) the pillows were comfy too.
I have a bad right side so the stairs sucked. Outside our room was the trash dump so it smelled real bad walking in and out our room. The inside is cleaner then the outside but not by much. I recleaned everything as soon as we arrived and covered the furniture with sheets and towels. The ceiling had mold along with the bathroom. The floor was gross so wash your feet before getting in bed. The beds not that comfy. Paint chipping everywhere, the stove had a burner out (the big burner) one grill for everyone in the hotel, limited parking, wifi went out, air conditioner falling apart and not ever getting our room cold just bearable (at night it could get unbearable), 2 pools great right? No! One is broken and not enough room in the other, no key cards just regular keys that anyone can make a copy of and you have to put a $5 deposite to get it but wait didn't I pay for a room? I guess the key isn't part of the deal this fee wasn't for extra keys just the one. Bathroom door didn't shut which sucked for us since we were 3 friends opposite sexes in one room oh and watch out or your bedroom door won't shut either, not that it looked secure when it was closed anyway. Roaches!!! How could I almost forget. I had to but bug spray for them. Big or small I hate them all. Parking lot under contruction (they kept blocking off areas). There already isn't enough parking. You have to look for the silver lining in this place.
As soon as we walked in the room smelt. There were cob webs on the ceiling, the light fixture above the bed was falling out, you could see lot's of dust on the ledges, the stove must have been at least 50 yrs old and falling apart. The carpets were ripped. We were very disappointed so we only stayed one night and moved to a beautiful room with a side view of the ocean and a jacuzzi tub. The cost difference was minimal. They need to redo all the rooms at the Sun Rise to give them a fresher look
Towels were very rough and only gave us 2
