Right in the middle of town and close to many attractions. Nice court yard area. Backs up to the lake.
Everything was very basic and even a little old. But all the basic needs were met. Nothing extravagant.
The staff was courteous
My room had bedbugs. The comforter smelled horribly. It wreaked of a horrible smell as if it hasn't been cleaned in months. The chair in the room smelled of foul body odor and secretions. I put my laptop on the chair and when removed it but still smelled of the chair. I had to bleach it. I will be reporting it to department of health and corporate.
Full size bed was too short I had asked for a king or queen and forgot to ask again at check in
Lake view and courtyard could use some seating
Went to shower brown water poured out ! Cockroches ! Phone didn't Work , Poor T V reception , NO History channel. Dont go! ! ! ! MR. D-
Obvious working to upgrade the rooms.
Very very difficult to work this rooms lock to get in. Very, very flakey. I had to go to front desk twice. They were dismissive. Once I did get in the room, I did not want to do anything requiring me to lock the door. No soap at all in the bathroom. Cable for TV very roughly run, draping across one wall. No orange juice at breakfast bar. When asked, they were out.
I liked bed.
Lack of outlets TV quality was horrific WiFi was fair Dirty behind the bed Unnecessary night light
Trash in parking lot, room wasn't very clean. And smoke detector was missing from wall. Small fridge was filled with water.
the price for the room. terrible stay. tv fuzzy. shower horrible - either hot or cold, no in between, outlet falling out of the wall, not outlet cover behind mattress. free breakfast was a joke. i'll NEVER go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you need somewhere to stay for 1 night, it's ok. Just the basics.
Only thing I liked is it was Convenient to stores and restaurants.
Things I didn't like: the shower curtain had mold on it, the desk was broken, the chair had a broken leg, the so called view to the lake was blocked by trees.
Good Value. Room was clean. Door would not lock but the manager quickly moved us to another room without issues.
Outside was a bit aged.
Needs to be cleaner
Loud music until late into the night. Could not get much sleep. Mold in the bathroom. Dingy bedspreads. Light filtering in around door frame and around cheesy window covering all night.
price and location
bed next to bathroom had smell of vomit
Looked like the linen was not changed - staff had poor attitude. no 24 staff, poorly maintained. door didn't close right there was gap in the door. lights didn't work right electrical issues .
The bed was big and comfortable.
Leaking fridge that ruined all of our food we purchased. Broken shower head. RUDE staff
The bed smelled so clean just like home. Would stay there again
The only thing I can say is I wish the breakfast on Saturday stayed open till at least 10:00am.
both room i reserved had a lot of bed bugs and the staff rudely said i brought the bed bugs when there were two other couples complaining about bed bugs in the lobby. never will i ever return. i recommend this hotel to nobody .
wifi is too slow We found cobwebs in the corner of window blinds. airconditioner filter was not clean.
The staff at Dover 8 was exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful. The front office was newly renovated, as were the bathrooms. Plenty of eateries along the highway strip and close enough to Rehoboth beach and Tanger Outlets. Its a motel. You get what you pay for, we needed a place to lay our head, and this place did the job. I low balled the expectations, but we found ourselves pleased enough.
We arrived with our own linen and cleaning supplies just in case. It came in handy because, the room was a tad bit dusty and there is just something "buggish" about sleeping on sheets from motel.
Everything there was bed bugs my daughter and I got bit really bad .
What was there to like? This place was horrible.
This place was by far the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in. First, I had to walk past "alley-row" to get to my room, which was a small hallway of sorts that had extra lamps, desks, tables, etc. out in the open across from a room labeled "Service Room." Then, I had to body slam my way into my room as it looked as though the door had once been kicked in and then bent back into place. I am a 110 lb woman. If anyone was watching, that had to have been a very entertaining sight. Once in the hotel, I discovered multiple burn holes (despite my non-smoking room) in all aspects of the furnishings (Sheets, desktop, desk chair, bed spread-though the word spread is a bit of a stretch--thin piece of cloth-like material is probably more accurate). Add to that the creepy child molester vent that was above the shower, along with the ants crawling up the side of the tub, and I had myself a perfect sequel to the next Psycho movie sans knife-wielding psycho-path (at least he didn't attack my room, anyway). Oh, and did I forget to mention the discount liquor store that is essentially attached to the front of the building? I would NEVER stay anywhere near this place again. RUN! I tell you, RUN!
I like the fact that it was right down the street from the casino.
Well the first room was a double bed small room with no working hot water. The second room double bed was much more roomer with hot water but the tv was really bad. Really fuzzy didn't get have the channels.
