Pretty quiet pool outside room free breakfast free wifi
sticky stained rug door lock broken needs updating on backside rooms
loved the staff friendly
Having a place to sleep and shower
The woman at the front desk did not seem to be friendly. We were Givin a room that would not open. After an attempted three tries with different keys we were Givin a room that was not ready. We decided to stay and just ask for what was missing from the room and when we called down we were Givin attitude and we're hung up on. Giving the woman at the front desk we gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided to wait for our blankets towels shower curtain of what we found necessary but was not all that was missing after approximately 4 hours we were Givin a call to inform us we needed to dial a different number to request what was missing at which point we finally received our items. I like to attribute these issues to the woman at the front desk who did not seem to care about the comfort and happiness of the costumers
A great value for people who soley need a comfortable bed & close location to downtown.
- Staff was really nice - Free WiFi - Cheap
- Paper-thin walls/ poor construction - got woken up due to noise from the outside on 2 out of 3 nights. (Earplugs recommended.)
The staff is friendly personable. They are hospitable.they were very accommodating. The AC worked .
The smoking room we got was rundown. 2 holes one punched in the other a missing vanity. Stains on toilet seat, possibly nail polish. Loose sink faucet. Possible wet spots in floor
Liked the price, staff, room, hot breakfast.
Need to exterminate. Roaches all over the place. Had to shake bedding out and luggage as we prepared to leave.
from previous experience i thought highly of super 8 motels until i stayed in this one. i felt like i was surrounded by drug dealers. i would not go back and stay at this one again. internet did not work in my room and the vent in the bathroom also wasn't working. they gave me a smoking room and i was hoping that i can just let the air out through the vent system because it smelled like cigarettes in the room. i asked the hotel clerk for a different too
I liked the accommodations, the free breakfast, the helpful staff, and proximity to ACL.
It was all great.
I did not like this experience
$230 for an extremely poor hotel. Never was so much paid by so many for so little.
old rooms. cheap towels, room was run down, out of date and in need of repairs
good wifi clean rooms
extremly loud from highway next to motel. (stay in Motel Sper 8 in Austin North; its much quiter, for equal price). room-keycard worked on the roomdoor one floor down as well (safety)
The neighborhood is dicey, but the facility has good access to Interstate 35.
This place was not cheap at over $150/night including taxes. The room was run down -- there was a hole in the dry wall where the door knob had been pushed through it, the carpet didn't cover the whole floor, the blow dryer was damaged, the air conditioner worked, but only marginally. There were bugs in the bathroom. The parking lot is used by the valet parkers for the night club next door -- I'm sure this helps the motel's bottom line, but when we came back in the evening we had a pretty hard time finding a place to park. We were approached as we were going to the room by a guy who asked if we needed a good deal on some DeWalt drills. You get the picture.
the noice in the other rooms are horrific and the fact that we are covered in bites now also the cable is boring i do believe we deserve a refund something!
Arrived after a ten hour drive, hoping to sleep in, but instead having to wake up early morning to table saws being operated outside my room, leaking sink faucet every time we used it, water dripping off the counter onto the floor. When we reported the problems, and told that they were remodeling to better our stay the next time. They moved us to another room but it was still unpleasant. We booked from an online service and could not cancel our reservations (4 day stay) so we roughed it. Learned a lesson, beware of a cheaper price, it might not always be worth it. Next time I will research more .
We read sooo many bad reviews, but we needed a place in a pinch and this was the only thing available without having to literally spend $500 for the night. The lobby was clean, the staff was friendly. There are cameras everywhere, which made us feel a little safer considering prior reviews. There is security and parking lot is well lit.
While super 8 seems to be making an effort to remedy the bad reviews, the clientele is still shady. Very shady. That's the only bad thing really.
Friendilness of the staff, size of the room, good beds.
The first room was very noisy because of the elevator and you heard the trafic really well. We asked for another room and got a must better one at the back of the motel on the Sixth Floor!
the room was dark and dirty, the carpet was dirty and the cabinet with the refrigerator was so moldy, i still get goosebumps when i think of it . we booked for two nights but left after the first night.
Absolutely horrible stay. Night time staff acted like we didnt exist. The younger of the 2 night receptionist was to busy flirting with the guys in front of us. Not a professional attitude. We wanted to pay cash and notified them before hand that the card was just to hold the reservation but they charged the card anyway. The room was filthy, shower was stained, broken shower rod, only one pillow and its was flat. Bed was like sleeping on concrete. A/c system has something growing in the vents. Would have been better to sleep in car.
Location was good and the people who worked there were nice. Beds were good.
The room needs a make over. Hole in wall behind door, base boards coming off wall, tube needs replacing. Just a make over. One bed had 1 pillow and the other had 2. There were old clothes left in one of the drawers, dirty. The pool was dirty inside and around the area too.
They had my reservation for two days prior which was wrong. I called a day before to double check and everything was fine. When my friends go to check in early they were told by Sean the rooms were no showed two days prior. I called booking.com and forwarded my conformation email to prove sean was wrong. When booking called the hotel everything checked out. When I called back I got no help again as if booking never called. Sean should be fired. Very rude. Very incompetent. Never coming back.
Love that it was so close to everything else .. so it was easy to find everything
The breakfast was not what I thought although good . Just not what I thought.
staff was friendly and helpful. good location.
Friendly staff, convenient breakfast, great location near University of Texas
A little old and run-down
