The breakfast was really good and also the facilities!
Me and my friends weren't with a car, so it's not easy to move around in a cheap way.
They were very accomodative.
Old used furniture, poor paint job, no wifi in the room. Looked like they recently renovated but did a poor job. Bathroom was in poor condition
Roaches every where, toilet did not flush, rooms stunk, hand rails falling off( unsafe). Counter guy did not get off of his phone to check us in.
We live 3hr from Memphis and left behind a small case.. we called as soon as we got home from Memphis.. We were told yes they found the case and told us IF we wanted it back we would have to pay for the return.. O.K. since they still had are credit card information.. BUT what we didn't expect was for them to charge us $75 to send it.. I called UPS after it was returned and ask how much it would cost to send the exact same box, size and weight... we were told to send it from our home to Memphis it would be $28 so why the $75?? when we called the motel back we were told very rudely you didn't expect us to send it free did you? No I said... but why the extra $47.. for them not throwing it away and having to take their time to take it to UPS... for $47 We could have driven back to the motel and picked it up ourselves!!!
Everyone was helpful
Good convenient location. Reasonable for price. Laundry facilities. Nice staff willing to help. Fairly quiet though near major road.
Neighborhood a little dicey though never felt threatened. First room had not been maid serviced, but they quickly moved me to one that was. Painting and renovations going on.
We had to change our room three times. Much too loud, a leaking toilet, brown water and dirt everywhere. The desk clerk was just laughing (maybe at us)... Never again!
When I arrived at this hotel the room had a very bad odor. As I continued to walk through I notice that the toilet and bathtub was not very clean at all. It was so bad that when I got ready to bathe I noticed spiders and a spider Web in the tub. When I laid on the bed the linen had a bad smell and my friend and myself both felt like something was crawling on us. Overall I didn't have a good experience. I hope others have a better experience.
When it was time to move on.
Key would not open door we had to change rooms. The bath room door locked and we had to wait for someone to open it. Paid for a shuttle to go down town, did not return to pick us up. The worst part of our holidays.
Distance to the center.
hard to find ;-)
I loved how friendly the staff was. I loved that it was close to down town. Nice room,Comfy bed. My favorite thing was i could park my car at hotel and they had a shuttle service to downtown. No cab needed..
The pillows. They are small and flat. I was also sad i never got the opportunity to taste all the wonderful indian food i was smelling :) maybe next time
Cheap! Cool old building next door
Very hard to walk to the city, keep your urban wits about you. Hotel residents always want a ciggie even if you don't smoke
Distance from Beale street
Poor breakfast. Only a waffle marker, white bread, a toaster, juice and cereal. Nothing of a warm breakfast.
Male receptionist who spoke on the phone with someone during the entire arrival process. This is perhaps why he gave me the key to an occupied room. Both I and the occupants were embarrassed; not to mention the security implications. He also told me that despite my request for a non smoking room I had a smoker and that this is why the price was discounted. This was not mentioned on Booking.com mostly because it was a bare faced lie. The lift jammed. The room was filthy. The ancient dirty TV had a terrible picture. I used the shuttle to go down town and requested a return pick up at 10 30 pm the bus did not arrive and I had to take a taxi at $25. This is quite the worst experience I have had. I'm tempted to compare it to a third world hotel but that would be insulting to people who at least try.
Proximity to downtown
Only one elevator worked. Facility was very run down. Staff was going through the motions but appeared apathetic at best. Africa must have been the inspiration for the continental breakfast because there was very little food.
Location, price, inexpensive shuttle to Beal Street!
Nothing really....it is a little old is all, .
Front desk staff and driver who took us to Beale St
Where do I start? Suffice to say if you pay $45, don't expect much.
Staff pleasant. Wifi good.
Smelly old jacuzzi in bedroom, door keys repeatedly failed because of faulty lock, blankets stank, grubby bathroom, dangerous wiring, hot water ran out in morning, bedside lights not working, bathroom door would not close. Urgently needs refurb.
Clean Rooms Price Closeness to Downtown / Beale Street Free wifi and parking
Public areas- carpets looked extremely dirty
Wifi,was good ,
I went in to the room an there was a dead roach on air conditioner...the staff wasn't friendly at all, I wouldnt go back ..it was in a poor location ..it defiantly didnt look like the picture posted for their hotel on web site
Vicinity to Beale St and Graceland
No parking for the trailer I was pulling. Scared to have to leave it around the corner! Carpet had nasty looking stains all over. Accommodations not updated since...maybe the early 80s?
The whole place should be condemned. The carpet, furnishings, blankets and pillows were filthy, the tub did not drain. NASTY!!!
The beds were fairly comfortable and the price.
The bedside lamp and plug didn't work. It was hard to sleep because the thin walls. We were woken up at 2 by someone running/jumping in the room above us. Most of all, the people around us were pretty creepy. The first night there we saw a hotel guest walking around the wrap around balcony with no pants! And we discovered he was staying in the room next door!
That I could get all my money back and the staff was very understand
The location was in a bad area and it was people stand all outside and the hotel looked running down. So we didnt make it to see the room. I would never stay there.
